We’ve also had a prior visit where the waffle maker wasn’t available. We’ve always enjoyed this place in the past, so I hope this was just an off day and that the experience returns to what it’s been before.“

“I missed out on the super Fun super secret early days of Underground Creamery, but they still feel like a hidden gem. I’m excited to see their flavor options drop every week, and even though a pint is 3 times the cost of a Blue Bell pint, almost every week they will have at least 1, maybe 4(!) flavors that sound so intriguing and unique and delicious I’m happy to spend it. I usually save them up and we will do a fancy ice cream tasting flight with several flavors.

I don’t know what magic he uses to get his flavors so pure and concentrated and natural tasting but part of what makes the ice cream so good is that the coffee flavor is SO on point in its coffee-ness without being overpowering, same with delicate flavors like their Earl Gray, etc and OMG the flavors in their sorbets just explode. W some of their flavors, This is legit the kind of ice cream that some super fancy restaurant could serve you like 1 tablespoon of as an amuse bouche and you would savor every molecule on your tongue and feel like you had a full gourmet experience.

And I’ve never had a flavor that wasn’t tasty.
That being said, I don’t get basic flavors like birthday cake or cookie dough or vanilla with a fruit swirl, not because they’re not yummy, they’re just not 3 times tastier than the alternatives. But that’s just me. People with a more refined palate may get the distinction - I have no doubt that if anyone makes a vanilla that is 3 times better than blue bell it’s Underground. And they have so many many flavors that are unique as well as exquisitely executed - they’re worth every penny if you’ve got it.

They’re opening a new Pudgys in Meyerland that will have Underground Softies - Soft Serve ice cream!!! Was a bit sad to know they weren’t bringing the soft serve in to the Heights location - I’m super curious as to whether they’ll have the unique flavors or stick to the basics. But anyway I just discovered UC this year and have been a very happy customer - just the kind of thing they makes me happy to live in a big city!“

“Everything from the ice cream to the chairs you sit in are absolutely wonderful. There are gluten free options, there are nut free options, classic flavors and out of the box idea flavors. Absolutely love Connie’s Custard - Jones Rd. location. Maggie served me on 7/11/26, and she was the nicest! So happy, very friendly, and her team was working seamlessly to get orders out quickly.

I do NOT recommend going to Connie’s Custard-Cypress location. Whomever responds to reviews and rolls their eyes at customers’ experiences and is overall combative about Connie’s Custard in Cypress needs a lesson in receiving constructive criticism, or any criticism, without disparaging the customer.

The staff are not friendly at the Cypress location. Something is wrong with the nuts and how they’re stored. They don’t taste right. And I have spoken to other customers regarding this location and we all have said we only go to the Jones road location now. It’s absolutely worth the extra 20-30 minute drive.“

They’ve got a great variety of breakfast foods and my kids and I all found the food to be delicious! We made a fun trip of it and got some candy to take home too (huge variety)! Their flavors are richer and creamier in comparison to other areas which lately have been akin to slushees. “Best snow cone I’ve had in a long time! Great Elote too. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Parking is rough terrain, but plentiful. I wouldn’t go there after getting a car wash. It’s gonna get dusty. You can possibly park on the street and walk it. Be prepared for long lines on a nice day, but the line moves quickly. Highly recommend this place! It’s a must try for sure. The prices are incredible too. Keep me going back for more. I’m hooked on bubblegum flavor.“
