“Always a pleasure. All drinks are standard doubles for the price of 1. You definitely get you money's worth. However it is getting out dated. A remodel is needed at some point. It used to be small and intimate setting. The vibe is still there but it's more of social spot now. Brig back the speak easy intimate vibe.“

“I made a reservation for the burlesque show and I was NOT disappointed. The entire staff was super kind and happy to answer all of my questions. The food was amazing. The staff was incredibly kind and they were more than happy to laugh and joke with us. The seating was comfortable and perfectly placed to see the show. “Every time I go here I am welcomed with old and new friends from the past and present. Sitting around drinking buckets of beers and staring at the awesome view of downtown Houston. This Eastside hang out is a must to go to. Chat with the locals and get the feel of old Houston like it used to be!!“

“I highly recommend Eighteen Twenty Lounge, a bar conveniently located downtown near Daikin Park and the Houston Astros stadium. It’s the perfect spot to meet before or after a baseball game.

The bartenders are excellent, the atmosphere feels safe, and the crowd is always friendly and welcoming.

What really stood out to me was their honesty and professionalism. I forgot my sunglasses there about three weeks ago after a World Series game. I went back recently—knowing it was a long shot—and not only had they kept them, but they were safely stored the entire time. That was such a pleasant and unexpected surprise.

Because of that experience, I will continue to support this establishment and its staff. If you’re anywhere near the park, definitely stop by—you won’t be disappointed.“

“laid back spot, for the grown ups! it's small on the inside but the spacious patio makes up for it. we missed happy hour that was 4-8 but got there in time for live music 8-11. for a Monday night, it was a nice crowd but not crowded. we vibed to the music, had a couple drinks and was home by midnight to rest up for work the next day! the drinks were on point! we will definitely be back“

“Eddie V’s never misses, and this visit was no exception. As always, the service was absolutely perfect — attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish.

We ordered the salmon, crab fried rice, asparagus, lobster, and steak, and every single dish was spot‑on. The flavors were rich, the portions generous, and everything came out beautifully prepared. And of course, we couldn’t leave without the banana foster — the perfect sweet finish to an already incredible meal.

The atmosphere made it an ideal place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Elegant, comfortable, and just the right vibe for a special night out.

“Pulled up to Swagger for my cousin’s birthday and honestly thought I’d accidentally walked into a hood‑edition speakeasy. Real “hole‑in‑the‑wall with no character” energy. I was not impressed.

But then the music started hitting, the early crowd was my vibe, and suddenly I’m like, “Hold up… this might actually be a good time.”

Then 9 p.m. rolled around, the crowd switched up, and my spirit said, “Yep, time to go.”

Still, my wife and I had a great night. She loves hookah, they let us smoke cigars on the patio, and somehow this little spot won me over. We’ll probably be back — just gotta get there early lol.“

“We had a beautiful wedding at AvantGarden. My partner and I were looking for aesthetically pleasing and queer friendly wedding venues. When we emailed AvantGarden to see if they are comfortable with LGBT weddings, Mariana swiftly replied, “At AvantGarden, love is love.” We went to tour the venue because it was beautiful online and we could not have been more pleasantly surprised by the fact that they do all inclusive weddings! The florals, cake, food, and DJ were all excellent. Pizza, cocktail hour charcuterie and the taco truck were all big hits with our guests. We’re very thankful to Mariana and her team!“

“It's a great place to relax and have fun and dance and enjoy eating,, with sports Sunday and talent shows with prizes, and karaoke night on Thursday and a great DJ. But the chicken wings are off the chain. Great atmosphere for adults 35 and up. The music is a variety, and just ask for what you want to hear or watch on the TV. I would like a domino table or a card table for more excitement and fun. The owner Tonya Young is very cool and down to earth.“

“We were attending a Memorial Service in Houston..Hotel is very convenient to restaurants, I-10, other sites in Houston. Hotel has grocery stores etc. very close. Parking was very easy. Hotel was very easy to navigate. Staff was kind and considerate.“

“Attended the bluefin carving last night.

Tickets were $207 pp. Aside from the tuna, there were stations serving unlimited food or drinks. Food stations - raw oysters and kaluga caviar.
Drink stations - premium sake, rum, and japanese whiskey (all did neat or cocktails).
The featured cocktail of night was a Lychee Martini and it was fantastic.

Servers came around with food, water, and the martini constantly.

Food options were: mini tuna sashimi waffle cone, tuna crisp with caramelized onions, a mini tuna fishbowl with mango, seared tuna skewers, hand rolls, and then a 3 plate of chu toro, otoro, and lean.

The tuna carving itself was cool. You were able to go and use a spoon to pick at the meat left close to the bone while they filet'd the tenderloins. We got to try the cheek seared, tuna bone marrow, and neck meat along with all the traditional cuts. Then obviously a tuna head sake shot because why not.

Worth every penny because they did not over sell tickets. At no point were you fighting for food or drinks. Will go again.“

Sunday is 🙌🏾 if you want good music, drinks, food, and a good atmosphere. The parking is fine if you get there early enough to park on the street the service is A+. The service and DJs are on point. Sunday night everything is 🙌🏽 booked t crowded and younger.“

Additional charges are not clearly disclosed, and an 18% service fee is automatically included in the bill, yet customers are still prompted to leave an additional tip. As a result, what appears to be a simple meal with drinks can cost around $40. For individuals on a modest income, this pricing structure feels excessive and unfair. Greater clarity and honesty in billing practices would significantly improve the dining experience.“

I love chili's chicken tortilla soup BTW so I don't mind in the least 😋 as far as the fries they were shoe string fries which I love also with the addition of parsley & parmesan the star of the show thou was the garlic truffle aoli sauce to dip the fries in... all in all a lovely peaceful lunch & sweet tea :)“

“This is not a huge airline lounge and it seems as if it has been renovated not too long time ago. The seating was quite new and comfortable and even with a little feeling of privacy. The food they offered was quite ok, especially when you consider that I was in a lounge in North America. I had a salad and an egg dish filled with cheese. I visited this place on a weekday morning and there were not too many other passengers inside.“

Now, let me keep it real: that pool table is way too close to the hookah station. Every shot felt like we were trying not to bump somebody’s mint-flavored clouds. Cute for ambiance, questionable for geometry.
We ordered food—solid but not life-changing. The garlic parmesan wings were tasty, just… petite. Like they came from chickens still paying rent at home. The tenders were good, but the fries? Whew. Somebody went seasoning-happy in the kitchen. All that flavor dust and still no flavor. A mystery.
