“This seafood restaurant is a top pick! Everything was delicious. I had the crabcakes, and they were so good that I ended up ordering another round. The drinks were also fantastic. I tried the red snapper grouper french fries with a side of hot ketchup. I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful everything was. The servers were incredibly hospitable and helpful. I’ve been in Houston for four years now, and this is the first and only restaurant that has left me truly impressed. I gave the atmosphere four stars because the volume was a lot louder than I had expected in the seating area was very squished.“

“The place is beautiful. I appreciate that they enforce the dress code, which is what I like to see in a restaurant like this. Every staff member was so nice. Our particular servers in the smaller dining area, were great. Very knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. The bartenders deserve recognition as well for the fast and friendly service. I regret that i haven’t tried this restaurant before but i will definitely be back.“

“We had an amazing experience at Balboa! Starting with the complimentary valet, which was quick and friendly service. The entry to the restaurant was super nice and a great photo opportunity spot. Kyrah took excellent care of us during our visit, and we loved the team style service. It felt like we had a team serving us, and they are so quick and quiet that you can continue to hold conversations and visit but someone is always near if you need anything. Kyrah took special care to "refresh" our cocktail glasses when we finished about half of our drinks, and made excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. Our table tried the fried shrimp, oysters, spicy ahi tuna roll, crab cake, Post Oak ribeye with pureed potatoes, salmon with the most delicious and unique salad, and heirloom tomatoes. The cocktails were delicious, including the Gold Rush, Rum Dum, and el Guero. The restaurant vibe is romantic but fun and sophisticated and has an open kitchen concept where you can see the food being made if you care to watch. I will most definitely be back and can confidently recommend this place to anyone!“

“My husband and I are in Houston for his cancer treatment at MD Anderson. Needless to say, not a trip for fun, but it’s his birthday today, and we wanted to get out of the hotel at the hospital and celebrate just a little. Because he has stage 4 stomach cancer, his dietary needs are limiting, so eating out can be difficult. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. This being our first trip to Houston, we know little about the area, and our cab driver helped us decide on Navy Blue. Well, can I just tell you, they were soooooo accommodating of our needs!!! The chef went out of his way to prepare some special items for us, so my husband could eat. Though his portion size is limited, he thoroughly enjoyed his food, as did I. I ordered a small appetizer of baked in butter Prince Edward Island oysters, simply prepared, and oh so delicious. My husband loves oysters, but they haven’t loved him since he’s been sick. He even had one, and enjoyed it. My husband also loved the cheddar biscuits, and seaweed butter, I couldn’t believe he was able to eat the whole biscuit. They have a simply prepared section in their menu, and you can order your seafood pan seared in olive oil with simple seasonings. This was great for his situation, and he had beautiful pink juicy gulf shrimp. I had the Dover sole, and it was perfectly prepared and boned tableside. Gorgeous presentation, and the fish was absolutely delicious. I ordered the sautéed spinach, and he the creamed potatoes. We shared those, and both were delicious. All the staff were well trained in service and they were super attentive. Our server was magnificent. Thank you Navy Blue for showing us a lovely night out, in an otherwise difficult time. We highly recommend your restaurant to anyone in the Houston area looking for fabulous food, fabulous service, and exquisite attention to detail. This place is wonderful!!!“

Bread was fresh made with clean delicious ingredients (didn’t upset my stomach). Crab cake was made fresh ingredients with excellent sauce.
Best and cleanest tasting salmon we’ve ever had.
Wagyu was delicious and clean very well done (hope they upgrade to wagyu angus cattle … best of Wagyu marbling and angus fattiness, can find in butcher shops but not in restaurants yet.)“

“I’m not sure that I could recommend this place. The food was good, however I was with my 5yr old daughter and really felt like we were rushed. I understand we can’t possible order up a tab that much but we surely didn’t deserve to feel rushed. We split a salad and the meatballs. The main dish came out literally 2 mins after receiving the salad. I don’t know about this place. Slow it down.“

“My husband and I have been loyal patrons of Goode Company Seafood for years and have always enjoyed our dining experiences. Shelley, our longtime waitress, has been an integral part of those visits. She was always warm, welcoming, and attentive, knowing exactly what we liked. We were saddened to learn that she was recently let go. While we don’t know the reasons behind this decision, her absence has certainly been felt, and our dining experience hasn’t been the same without her. We truly miss her and hope she may return someday, as she brought something special to every visit.“

Despite it being a busy Saturday night the service was very accommodating. Very reasonable prices and they've got a pretty nice selection on Sake and Soju, too. If your looking for a unique vibe this is it. Parking can be difficult on a Saturday night but I lucked out and found front row.“

The appetizers, each one, were some of the best that I’ve ever had and I’m a foodie. I had not even known that this restaurant was located here. “Well to my surprise they had changed the restaurant from Pappas Seafood to Pappadeux. Don't know why the parent company decided to change. This Pappas Seafood restaurant location always had a wait every other time we had visited. Anyway Pappadeux is good but not so much when one is expecting Pappas Seafood. Need better news releases. This was the first time I had ever been in that particular location and there were hardly any customers. So they must have wanted Pappa's seafood too.“

“We visited Willie G’s for the first time on Sunday & it did not disappoint. We were met with a warm greeting from the hostess & sat almost immediately upon arrival.

Our server Mario was phenomenal! He was very personable, great customer service & offered great suggestions. We ultimately had oysters, the sea bass, the seafood pasta & the finale was the blueberry cheesecake!! I have never had a cheesecake come remotely close to how good this one was…we were both hesitant to try it at first however Mario’s description beforehand led us to give it a shot & I’m so glad we did!

It's our favorite seafood restaurant. He passed away in 2020. I still drive over there from Spring, Texas. I have referred many of my family and associates there. Everyone is so friendly. “Very nice dining place, with a huge aquariums inside! Huge cylindre aquarium from 1 to 3d floor stairs and a huge window aquarium inside the main room. The service is extraordinary, very - very nice and kid's friendly at the same time! Food is really great, fish and meat and vegan too, even in kid's menu. Every guest is treated as a valuable VIP! The entrance not depends on Aquarium Downtown visit, you can attend just the restaurant from the street. The parking is a little bit pricy, but all the parking places are in shadow under the bridge. The way to restaurant from the parking lot is nice, lays through the flowers under the trees.“
