“We had an amazing experience at Balboa! Starting with the complimentary valet, which was quick and friendly service. The entry to the restaurant was super nice and a great photo opportunity spot. Kyrah took excellent care of us during our visit, and we loved the team style service. It felt like we had a team serving us, and they are so quick and quiet that you can continue to hold conversations and visit but someone is always near if you need anything. Kyrah took special care to "refresh" our cocktail glasses when we finished about half of our drinks, and made excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. Our table tried the fried shrimp, oysters, spicy ahi tuna roll, crab cake, Post Oak ribeye with pureed potatoes, salmon with the most delicious and unique salad, and heirloom tomatoes. The cocktails were delicious, including the Gold Rush, Rum Dum, and el Guero. The restaurant vibe is romantic but fun and sophisticated and has an open kitchen concept where you can see the food being made if you care to watch. I will most definitely be back and can confidently recommend this place to anyone!“

“My husband and I are in Houston for his cancer treatment at MD Anderson. Needless to say, not a trip for fun, but it’s his birthday today, and we wanted to get out of the hotel at the hospital and celebrate just a little. Because he has stage 4 stomach cancer, his dietary needs are limiting, so eating out can be difficult. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. This being our first trip to Houston, we know little about the area, and our cab driver helped us decide on Navy Blue. Well, can I just tell you, they were soooooo accommodating of our needs!!! The chef went out of his way to prepare some special items for us, so my husband could eat. Though his portion size is limited, he thoroughly enjoyed his food, as did I. I ordered a small appetizer of baked in butter Prince Edward Island oysters, simply prepared, and oh so delicious. My husband loves oysters, but they haven’t loved him since he’s been sick. He even had one, and enjoyed it. My husband also loved the cheddar biscuits, and seaweed butter, I couldn’t believe he was able to eat the whole biscuit. They have a simply prepared section in their menu, and you can order your seafood pan seared in olive oil with simple seasonings. This was great for his situation, and he had beautiful pink juicy gulf shrimp. I had the Dover sole, and it was perfectly prepared and boned tableside. Gorgeous presentation, and the fish was absolutely delicious. I ordered the sautéed spinach, and he the creamed potatoes. We shared those, and both were delicious. All the staff were well trained in service and they were super attentive. Our server was magnificent. Thank you Navy Blue for showing us a lovely night out, in an otherwise difficult time. We highly recommend your restaurant to anyone in the Houston area looking for fabulous food, fabulous service, and exquisite attention to detail. This place is wonderful!!!“

“Per recommendation of my friend, I chose to make a reservation here for my birthday dinner. It is also Restaurant Weeks, so we ordered off that menu. I got the double breasted chicken and asparagus and mashed potatoes and the truffle Mac and cheese. My friend ordered the filet mignon. Everything but the mac and cheese was amazing. The Mac and cheese was not bad, however, the truffle was overpowering and not something I would eat again. If you can tolerate the power of the truffle then you could order the mac and cheese. Also, for my birthday they gave me a dessert from the Restaurant weeks menu and it was pretty good. The live music was a plus and I definitely will be back to try the regular menu.“

“I’m not sure that I could recommend this place. The food was good, however I was with my 5yr old daughter and really felt like we were rushed. I understand we can’t possible order up a tab that much but we surely didn’t deserve to feel rushed. We split a salad and the meatballs. The main dish came out literally 2 mins after receiving the salad. I don’t know about this place. Slow it down.“

“My husband and I have been loyal patrons of Goode Company Seafood for years and have always enjoyed our dining experiences. Shelley, our longtime waitress, has been an integral part of those visits. She was always warm, welcoming, and attentive, knowing exactly what we liked. We were saddened to learn that she was recently let go. While we don’t know the reasons behind this decision, her absence has certainly been felt, and our dining experience hasn’t been the same without her. We truly miss her and hope she may return someday, as she brought something special to every visit.“

“We really enjoyed our experience at the West Ave Eddie V's. We usually dine at the CityCentre location, but this visit may have given us a new favorite. It's also much closer to our new home, which is a bonus. Atul made sure our dining experience was excellent from start to finish. Esmond (I hope I'm spelling his name correctly) provided top-tier service. He was personable, attentive, and his appetizer recommendations were spot on. The lobster tacos were a generous portion and absolutely delicious, and my spouse really enjoyed the Wagyu dumplings. We'll definitely be back and will be requesting Esmond again. “Let me start with the reservation first. So I was originally trying to book the other place (their competitor around the area iykyk) at first and I called 3 weeks in advance but they asked me to call back a week before my planned date. But for some reasons they didn’t allow me to make a reservation for the weekend because of the World Cup. I was low key mad but then I found Midnight Kabob. I called and they took my big party reservation.

We came here to celebrate my birthday on Sunday. We had a large group around 15 people. The food was amazing and the server was amazing! We all had a great time here. I would definitely come back!“

“I recently attended an educational dinner here in the food was beyond outstanding. It was difficult to decide which entrée to get because they all looked amazing. The appetizers, each one, were some of the best that I’ve ever had and I’m a foodie. I had not even known that this restaurant was located here. “Pan seared red fish, lump crab, and shrimp with dirty rice. Red fish was cooked perfectly very seasoned and the top was cooked just a little more for a more desirable taste. Lump grab with lemon was succulent and soft and the Shrimp was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Dirty rice tasted amazing as well. We were at the bar and the server asked at least 3 or 4 times if we needed anything. Cheesecake was at least 2 tier maybe 3 tier tasted delicious with the whip cream and fresh strawberries. Atmosphere was welcoming and modern. Bathrooms were clean and stocked.“

It's our favorite seafood restaurant. He passed away in 2020. I still drive over there from Spring, Texas. I have referred many of my family and associates there. Everyone is so friendly. “Hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a very long time. The atmosphere, service, food, all of it was 10/10! Our waiter, Ryan, made the experience even better. He was super knowledgeable about the menu, flavors, and went above and beyond to provide great service. We got the focaccia, broccolini Caesar, Creste di galli, and chicken parm.
