Best gumbo in Houston!!!
Good food but smaller portions. They changed their batter and the wait is at least 1 hour for a seat and very noisy.
best place in Houston for cheap oysters....... try the Texas mini. And a bowl of gumbo.....

Captain Tom's offers an excellent oyster bar experience with great food and friendly service. The gulf oysters are good and large, and the gumbo is rich. Fried platters, like the butterfly fried shrimp and Texas mini, are generous and satisfying. The real gem is the bar, where the micheladas are to die for. Carlos managing and the staff do an amazing job, providing fantastic service with incredible energy that makes the whole place feel lively. Seating is limited, but the overall experience makes it a reliable spot for enjoying a great seafood meal.
