More limited menu than your standard Chinese takeout place but I can assure you the flavor is perfect! We love the beef lo mein, tempura shrimp, gyoza, spring rolls, egg rolls, and sweet and sour chicken. It’s our go to for Chinese takeout and I love that it’s small, locally owned, neighborhood mom and pop shop!“

The Kung Pao Shrimp was delicious, with the perfect balance of flavor and spice, and the Crab Wontons were a great addition, crispy, flavorful, and really satisfying. Today Jessica truly made the experience so smooth, the food was amazing. I get the pepper steak and was able to try the ahi crispy rice appetizer! Chefs kiss. Will be returning.“

“My family has been coming to North China for 40 years, starting back when it was run by the previous generation of the family owners and when it was tucked away near memorial city mall.

I have always appreciated the service, the uniquely prepared dishes like Beijing fish filets and sandong beef that I cannot get anywhere else, and their distinct preparations of staples like hot and sour soup (they serve this soup super piping hot and add delicious pickled Chinese radish/greens to it). An added bonus are their comfort food style Korean dishes—something that is again pretty unique for a Chinese restaurant to offer.

I was still in elementary school when my parents would take me here. Now I am the parent and I take my own family here regularly, even though it’s a bit of a drive for us.

So I was originally trying to book the other place (their competitor around the area iykyk) at first and I called 3 weeks in advance but they asked me to call back a week before my planned date. But for some reasons they didn’t allow me to make a reservation for the weekend because of the World Cup. I was low key mad but then I found Midnight Kabob. I called and they took my big party reservation.

We came here to celebrate my birthday on Sunday. We had a large group around 15 people. The food was amazing and the server was amazing! We all had a great time here. I would definitely come back!“

“Really cute little spot with fantastic Chinese food specializing with Chinese chilis. I had the spicy fried chicken and their spicy wontons.

The fried chicken was excellent, really crispy while not being oily at all. The breading to chicken ratio was also very nice and the fresh herbs on top really brought balance to the dish.

The wontons were also dressed very nicely with extra garlic (which I love) and chili crisp, and the skins were thin while maintaining its structure.

I was really pleasantly surprised to find such an authentic spot in Houston! Reminds me of home.

“It’s our first time eating here and we love the atmosphere and specially the food. Our waitress is very kind, accommodating and she knows the menu well. We celebrated Father’s Day here with our youngest son the foods and the service exceed our expectation. This restaurant is highly recommended and definitely will be back.“

“I got off work after a long shift and placed an order around 8:15 not realizing they closed at 9. I was about 40 minutes away at the time so I called to let them know I might be a little late and the woman on the phone was really kind and said it was okay. When I got there around 9:10 they had waited for me and I really appreciated that.

I was first introduced to their food through Weee! The quantity is perfect for the next day. The hand pulled noodles were great and the cumin beef is a must, super flavorful and comforting. Thank you again, I will definitely be back.“

“We ordered online. The process was easy and we were able to pick up through the drive thru. The food was great. I had and combo meal, and my husband had the Singapore rice noodles. Both were spicy and very tasty. The portions were generous enough to get 2 servings out of each meal. This place is great!“

“Went here with my cousin today, the food was absolutely delicious. The portions were very generous! You start with a chicken dish (we got medium spice/size) and it was more than enough for two people to share. The flavor was phenomenal. I particularly liked the onions. After you finish your first dish, they come by and fill your bowl with chicken broth, turning it into a delicious hot pot. All sides you can add on are generous as well. Overall, wonderful experience. We will be coming back for sure!“
