29 Best Chinese Restaurants near Kingwood

“Wow!! When the delivery driver brought the wrong food and was not willing to help I called up to Pei Wei and the manager took down my address and drive it to my house!! I have been down with a bug and needed some spicy food to kick it…. What an amazing experience!! Well done Kingwood Pei Wei!!!“

“Absolutely amazing food, friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely eat there again…bringing my family next time!“

“Hunan Garden has amazing Chinese food as well as sushi! So delicious and very generous portion size. Grace and the team are amazing !“

“The food was nothing to write home about. It wasn’t well seasoned, but it wasn’t horrible either.

I was especially disappointed with the egg rolls. They don’t offer sweet-and-sour sauce—just packets of duck sauce and mustard, and the brands they gave us were disgusting! 😖 The egg rolls definitely tasted like the prepackaged, bulk kind, and they were filled with quite literally nothing but cabbage.

Overall, just really disappointing. 😞 I miss when you could tell restaurant owners took pride in the food they served. Unfortunately, that seems harder and harder to find these days.

We paid $54 for 3 dishes: Mongolian beef, happy family, and house lomein, and 3 eggrolls, that around $18 a person, kind of pricey I think.

Oh well… this one definitely won’t be added to our favorites. But we may go back and give them another try, definitely not getting eggrolls. 🥹“

“I got take out today!! This place is delicious I got the Singapore noodles, hot and sour soup and an egg roll! The taste was delicious so much flavor just enough spice and curry! I would eat this daily! The only time I had Singapore noodles better was in China Town in New York!
The Hot and Sour soup was packed with Tofu and mushrooms!
Can’t wait to try more of their menu!“

“Hunan Garden has amazing Chinese food as well as sushi! So delicious and very generous portion size. Grace and the team are amazing !“

“Food was great plus great service Thanks Huy“

“Fast, friendly service and the food was very good. You get your money’s worth.“

“The parking status & order location for drive thur is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!; 👀. Its tight. Not enough space to turn around to leave window area. HOWEVER, their food choices are my favorite AWESOME!! 🍗🤸 This place is VERY BUSY.“

“Came here for lunch. Service was quick, got our food in less than 10 minutes. So good, perfect amount of crispy breading on the chicken without it getting soggy. Top is orange chicken, bottom was general Tso’s. Definitely would recommend.“

“Amazing food .... came down to visit my aunt from Illinois and stopped here and all I have to say is wow food was amazing and service was great will be back“

“The atmosphere is relaxing with soft music in the background. They even had a TV going with a show. The food was ok. The sushi itself was good. The salmon was moist and the desserts were full of flavor. My favorite over all was the crab rangoon. Our waitress was so sweet and checked on us regularly, kept our drinks filled and removed completed dishes promptly. She even went out of her way to fix a plate for me after a short discussion about an issue I had. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.“

“This place is ALWAYS on point. The way they package to deliver, the amount of food they provide, the taste of the food, the temperature of the food.. I has NEVER been a disappointment. I absolutely love this place. Everything has tasted amazing as well.“

“I’m from the Caribbean, so I don’t play when it comes to flavor and this place delivers every single time. The food is always seasoned perfectly, rich, and actually tastes like something, not bland like a lot of spots out here. Our family does TAKEOUT and DELIVERY from here on our “don’t feel like cooking nights”.

The portions are solid for the price, and what really stands out is how well they follow special requests. Every tweak I’ve asked for, they’ve gotten right, which is rare. And the spring rolls? Easily the best I’ve had in Houston so far…..crispy, flavorful, and just done right.

Honestly, don’t let the stars or ratings scare you off. This is hands down the only place I recommend if you want genuinely good, tasty Chinese food on this side of town.“

“Great food and friendly service - our go to place with friends on a Saturday night!“

“Love it will return such a great place“

“Been awhile since we been. Great tasting food and hot. Great service too :)“

“We have been going to Tai Li for years and I’ve had a ton of different menu items, all of them are great. Recently though we tried the Jerry Chicken and now it’s our go to order! It’s tangy and rich, a little sweet but not over the top. Our family also LOVES the crab puffs!“

“Food quality and service, was much improved, from our previous visit there! Nearly as good as it always was! Keep up the good work!“

“Everything was outstanding from the time I walked in. I ordered takeout at the counter. The chicken wings were made to order and made it take a couple minutes more , but were well worth the wait, best wings ive ever had, and at very reasonable price. The egg drop soup was perfect and i requested some green onion on the side, in which was provided in a souffle cup and were fresh. Also ordered the combination (house special)egg foo young with fried rice, wow , a very generous portion. It'll take me 2 days to eat all this delicious food. Kudos for providing such outstanding service, generous portions and delicious food.“

“I’ve been a routine lunch customer for about a year and half. I’ve been eating here when all they had was a kitchen and tables. Great food made by a great team. I am always reliable on them to produce a fresh high quality Chinese meal. Kung Pao Three is the best dish.“

“The time I have came with my daughters I liked the food 🍱“

“We were on a trip from OKC and stop to order the Orange chicken that also came with rice, Lo Mein, Crab Puffs and Eggrolls and honestly 3 people could eat and be full with the portions we received. Super fresh, and great taste. I highly recommend them. They were quick and friendly. I also noticed they have a Mexican menu. Try them out.“

“Gerardo and Amy were both amazing with the service, food, and they accommodated us very well. My family and I had delicious food. My partner order the Kung Pao Triple Delights and I ordered the Orange Chicken. We have visited this establishment a few times before and again and again we have very good service. Thank you for the awesome and great service, we really appreciate it!!! :)“

“I'm not too sure where all these low star ratings are coming from but they do not reflect our experiences here. My parents bought their house back in 2014 and this was their moving day dinner. This has remained a consistent place to eat. I moved into the area in 2024 and have dined in and carried out. I LOVE their Happy Family and my new favorite has been the General Tso Shrimp. I do find it odd that there are no egg, peas or carrots in the regular fried rice but their shrimp fried rice is always chock full of vegetables. Furthermore, I have always found the service to be friendly, attentive and quick. I foresee several more years of continued visits.“

“Food was good.
Quantity was enough for two meals. Friends and I got takeout and both enjoyed the food and had leftovers.
Meals were all about $10. So that was five dollars a meal for me.
Even for those that like to eat a bunch $10 isn't much for a good filling meal.
Clean inside and not fancy but can sit down and eat inside if you like.“

“Awesome foods ,dinnig was wonderful 😋“

“Went there tonight for the first time. Amazing food and wonderful service. Highly recommend.“

“Highly recommend this place! The food was delicious especially the bourbon chicken! I would have given this a 5 star review, but the only downside, unrelated to the food or the service, is the location. Otherwise this was some of the best Chinese food I've had in a while.“
