The Chicken Chow Mein was EXCELLENT, best I've had in 40 years, and I've been trying to find some to compare to what I used to get at this little restaurant in Laurenburg, NC in the mid 80s. The fried rice was great. The Orange chicken was really good. The service was by far the best I've had in Kingwood in many many years. The portions are good and prices are very fair. I am still craving the Chicken Chow Mein, so I just ordered some food for pickup. Will update with a pick up order review. I will definitely be back for lunch.“

The atmosphere is hole in the wall Chinese, but you're not here for the ambiance. You are coming for the fabulous Chinese food with huge portions. The Kung pao beef is amazing. This place is truly a hidden gem.“

“I’m from the Caribbean, so I don’t play when it comes to flavor and this place delivers every single time. The food is always seasoned perfectly, rich, and actually tastes like something, not bland like a lot of spots out here. Our family does TAKEOUT and DELIVERY from here on our “don’t feel like cooking nights”.

The portions are solid for the price, and what really stands out is how well they follow special requests. Every tweak I’ve asked for, they’ve gotten right, which is rare. And the spring rolls? Easily the best I’ve had in Houston so far…..crispy, flavorful, and just done right.

Honestly, don’t let the stars or ratings scare you off. This is hands down the only place I recommend if you want genuinely good, tasty Chinese food on this side of town.“

Quantity was enough for two meals. Friends and I got takeout and both enjoyed the food and had leftovers.
Meals were all about $10. So that was five dollars a meal for me.
Even for those that like to eat a bunch $10 isn't much for a good filling meal.
Clean inside and not fancy but can sit down and eat inside if you like.“

“Definitely bang for your buck! I’ve always loved Chinese takeout lunch specials because they’re affordable and filling, and this place delivers on both.

The lunch specials come with rice, an entrée, an egg roll, and soup for around $10–13 per plate, which is a great value. The portions are generous enough to stretch into two meals: lunch and dinner.

I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken lunch special, the Sesame Chicken lunch special, and the Singapore Noodles. The chicken pieces were huge — almost the size of meatballs — and heavily coated in sauce. The fried rice was well seasoned, the soups were decent, and the egg rolls were surprisingly good. I especially liked that the egg rolls that had meat inside since most places usually serve egg rolls with vegetables. The Singapore noodles were delicious and filled with meat and seafood.

The service was okay overall, though a bit slow because they were busy at the time.

Overall, the food was satisfying, portions were generous, and the prices were hard to beat. Great food, good value, and definitely worth it for the price. Will return.“
