“One of the best places to get char siu, roast pork and roast duck in Houston. Don’t be fooled by the appearance of this hole in the wall their roast meats are top notch. As with other places you order by the pound and they will chop it for you. The roast pork is best enjoyed fresh. It’s just not the same even if you air fry it.
They actually have a fairly extensive menu of rice plates with various combinations of meats although I didn’t enjoy the other meat dishes from the pans as much as their main meats.
They are located in the back of the shopping center, tucked away kind of out of sight. Parking is notoriously bad as there are a number of popular restaurants with a shared parking lot.

“First time here and the staff was super sweet and welcoming! Our server gave great recommendations and we loved everything we had! Best salt and pepper wings ever! We loved both the egg drop soup and the wonton soup, and it's a big portion even though we ordered the small size. In general their portions are huge for the price ! We will definitely be returning soon! The spicy beef fried rice isn't actually spicy, so they bring out a chili oil sauce on the side, and the beef and vegetables has a delicious sauce and a good variety of vegetables.“

UPDATE: We came for dim sum. It was another good experience. The food was fresh and delicious. The push carts are a nice touch as they no longer exist where we live. We needed food for a family party and ordered a number of dishes from Ocean Palace. This restaurant was recommended by relatives who live in the area. Overall, we were happy with the dishes we ordered. The portions were decent, and the food had good flavor. Considering we order catering-style trays of food, it was pretty fresh and tasty. The Salt and Pepper Tofu was still somewhat crispy, which is hard to maintain when it traveled in a covered container. The sale and pepper flavors were good. The spice was just right. The Fried Shrimp with Walnut in Mayonnaise Sauce was very crispy, yet still tendered. They were not overcooked. We appreciated that the sauce was kept separately to maintain the crunch of the fried shrimp. The Salt and Pepper Fish Filet was crispy and moist. The fish was cooked just right. The salt and pepper flavors came through well. The Special Fried Rice was decent and consistent with other fried rice from any other chinese restaurant. The Sauteed Clams in Black Bean Sauce was fresh and delicious. The Fried Lobster in Salt and Pepper Seasoning was not overcooked. The lobster meat was good, and the flavors were impactful. The Fried Dungeness Crab in Dry Garlic was another nice flavor and different enough than salt and pepper that others enjoyed as well. Finally, the Rice Noodle with Beef and Chinese Broccoli was delicious and a personal favorite of mine. I appreciated a separate container of sauce, and they were generous with the sauce. I always find that most restaurants keep the sauce to a minimum. This place is better, and I was able to fully enjoy the rice noodle swimming in the sauce. The beef was decent, and each piece I had was very tender. We really enjoyed the dishes from“

“The food here can make me cry. We ordered four dishes. Every dish is impeccable. Why are northeastern people so good at cooking pork! The sour cabbage has such mild but strong flavor. The kidney and liver were cooked barely well done, very tender. Sweet potatoes can have the sugar pulling one-meter long. I cant wait to come back again.“

“This is a typical Chinese family restaurant, not your Americanized Chinese food. The restaurant is on the smaller side with less than ten tables. My friends and I went pretty late after typical dinner hours. When we arrived, only one table was occupied. My friend let me ordered the food. The portion was decent and my friends praised about the tastiness of the food. As for me, it was decent. If you want to try some authentic Chinese food, check it out. If you want Americanized Chinese food, this is not your place.“

“Red Review – A Must-Try Spot!
Wow! The food at Red Review was absolutely delicious. I had the salted tofu and flat noodles with vegetables, and both were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The textures were just right—crispy tofu, tender noodles, and fresh veggies. To top it off, the hot tea was a perfect complement to the meal. Highly recommend ordering it! Overall, a fantastic dining experience. I’ll definitely be back!“

“As a native Cantonese, I appreciate really good BBQ pork and roast duck. Wing Kee delivers on that every time. I always get take out but can see how people may be upset at their lack of service. Honestly, that's how Hong Kong is, so it doesn't bother me. If you get skipped, just speak up!“
