The line was almost an hour to get inside, but once we did, we were greeted by friendly staff and a handwritten daily menu. The staff offered samples and cuts of fresh brisket as we moved through to order. We tried a little bit of everything, and it was outstanding. My wife loved the sides (served family-style for sharing), and I loved the ribs and brisket. This is a must-do if you love barbecue and are in Houston!“

“We stopped in over the weekend for a late lunch, low-key celebrating my birthday. We had a little bit of everything and all of the food was AMAZING. I am not even a "ribs person" but loved theirs. the garlic sausage? Phenomenal. All of the meats: Brisket, chicken, sausage, pulled pork, smoked turkey - delicious. Great sauce. And all of the sides were bomb; we had mac & cheese, potato salad, and cream corn. My husband doesn't even like corn and we were sparring with our spoons over the last bites. On top of it, they have great stuff in the general store. We've found a new spot to bring our out of town visitors to come and try a taste of the best Houston had to offer!“

“Someone brought me a brisket sandwich for lunch and it was pretty good. I decided to go on a Saturday afternoon. Was 1 person in front of me, ordered the sausage and brisket plate. It took about 15 minutes. The brisket was as thin as receipt paper, the sausage was cheap. Lemonade was awful!! BBQ sauce was bland! I don’t know what happened between the sandwich I had and the food I walked in to order. I’ll stick to Burns BBQ in Acres Homes…especially when it comes to flavor!“

All this in the last place I expected . . . a food court of all locations. After my meal, definitely I agree with their shirt of being the best food court barbecue in TX . . . heck the US. The only issue was we asked for half white bread and half rolls and only got bread. But that was the only misstep. Everything else was excellent. Everyone was more than pleased. “We came over the summer to tour the school and check out the local scene. We found What It Do BBQ and we’re glad we did. We had the Ribs, the Candy Wings and the Brisket Sandwich. I couldn’t say what we liked best. The ribs were fall off the bone, the wings had just the right amount of kick and the brisket sandwich was just right, it was all delicious. My kid says she will be coming here on the regular when she starts school at UH and I will absolutely be coming back when we visit campus. Highly recommend.“

“This place is great! I’ve had their burger, fries, Iraqi kebab, and chicken shawarma, and everything I’ve tried has been solid. It’s rare to find a spot where pretty much everything on the menu tastes great but this place does.

My go to is the Iraqi kebab sandwich. I usually get two of them when I come here, and they’re always worth it. The chicken shawarma sandwich is also great.

The fries are really good too. They season them well, and the seasoning is different from what you usually get. They’re good even without ketchup, which says a lot.

The food is high quality, the portions are good, and the prices are very reasonable. You actually feel like you’re getting your money’s worth here.

Service is also great. The people working here are genuinely nice and take care of you. On top of that, they have great hours, which is hard to find in Houston since a lot of food spots close early. If you’re hungry late at night and want fresh high quality food that fills you up without overpaying, this is the spot. Highly recommend.“

The goat pulao was flavorful, well-cooked, and came with raita included, which paired perfectly with the dish. While the restaurant isn’t really an aesthetic dine-in destination and seems better suited for takeout, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. “This evening my husband had a craving for a loaded baked potato, so he did what he does best—Googled it! 😂 He came across Big T Smokehouse, right where Harold’s Chicken used to be, and I’m so glad he did.

The first thing I noticed when we walked in was how nice, cool, and clean everything was. That alone made a great first impression.

Now before I even get to the food… can we talk about the customer service? Terrell, the owner, greeted us like we were family. While I was standing there looking at the menu thinking, “Dang… I was supposed to start my diet today!” 🤦🏾‍♀️😂, Terrell started showing me videos of all the different items they serve. Baby… with every video my back was getting bigger and bigger! 🤣🤣

My husband and I both ordered the loaded baked potato, and let me tell you… it DID NOT disappoint! As you can clearly see, I left no crumbs. 😂😂 I honestly forgot what the potato looked like before I started eating it.

My grandbaby shared half of my potato and also had the mac and cheese, and she enjoyed every bite.

Now let’s talk dessert… the banana pudding. 😩🍌 you have to go try it yourself because words can’t do it justice.
