“I ate here last night with my mom and daughter. We had a great experience! Everyone came by and made sure we were doing ok, refilled drinks, removed empty dishes, even offering more banchan when they saw it we had eaten ours. The food was all really good. We ordered a la carte: chicken bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi, and beef bulgogi, and when we were finished, someone even packed our leftovers for us and brought me some more kimchi to go. The meat came with banchan, salad, rice and a soup. We also tried the seafood pancake, fried dumplings, and japchae. Very happy with all of it! I look forward to coming back and trying the ayce bbq.“

“Good afternoon everyone! We attended Gen Korean BBQ House in Houston, Tx on Friday 7/5/2023. My family And I were in for a visit from Louisiana and decided to eat here for a couple of reasons; Reason 1: My daughter and I have a very severe allergy to Iodine/Seafood so we're very very limited to what we can eat but with Korean BBQ we can pick out meats and safely cook it on a grill that hasn't been exposed to any seafood products! Reason 2: We don't have very many, if any Korean BBQ spots in Lake Charles, La and we absolutely love this food. So we chose to go to Gen Korean BBQ but to our surprise our hostess/waitress was Extremely rude! not just once or twice but, throughout the whole dining experience! My fiance requested another waiter or waitress after speaking to the manager but nothing was done besides him saying he would speak to the rude waitress, that's unacceptable so we quietly left! I'm not sure if she was having a bad night or this is generally how she acts but where I'm from this is not acceptable and speaks volumes about her character!“

“Newbies to Korean BBQ. The CHEF was AMAZING!! Not only did he come over to our table, he cooked all of our food on the hot plate and explained all the food, flavors and how to cook it ourselves next time. Best experience I’ve had in awhile eating out!“

“The owner is usually nice and accommodating. He made up good to our previous experience. Their side and meats are good. They have different sets of options to choose from for the AYCE. We left with happy tummy and smile on our faces for sure. Me and my bestie will surely be back.

“first time here, while it was pricey for 2 people the selection was big on meats... do not recommend takin kids. we got charged even though they said they were free. $17 a kid when they can't even finish a happy meal was crazy. if you're the type of person that needs to stretch or needs leg room, sit on the chair side not the booth“

The service has been excellent, the restaurant is clean, and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. The quality of the meat and banchan is outstanding, and everything is prepared with care. It’s become one of our favorite Korean BBQ spots in Houston. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable dining experience!“
