“This place is really interesting. The food is not authentic whatsoever, but everything tastes surprisingly delicious. The seafood pancake and sundubu-jjigae did not even taste remotely similar but they never claimed it to be authentic so I am okay with this. Overall, it was a great experience, extremely fast cooking, fresh food and friendly customer service“

“We tried this Korean restaurant for dinner after a friend recommended it, and the food was easily some of the best we’ve had recently. The side dishes arrived fresh and flavorful, and the portions were generous enough for sharing around the table. I ordered the bulgogi while my husband tried spicy pork, and both dishes were perfectly cooked with balanced seasoning. Compared to other Korean restaurants we’ve visited nearby, this place felt much more authentic and consistent in both flavor and service. The staff stayed attentive throughout the meal and patiently explained menu items we weren’t familiar with. We’re already planning another visit soon.“

“Good afternoon everyone! We attended Gen Korean BBQ House in Houston, Tx on Friday 7/5/2023. My family And I were in for a visit from Louisiana and decided to eat here for a couple of reasons; Reason 1: My daughter and I have a very severe allergy to Iodine/Seafood so we're very very limited to what we can eat but with Korean BBQ we can pick out meats and safely cook it on a grill that hasn't been exposed to any seafood products! Reason 2: We don't have very many, if any Korean BBQ spots in Lake Charles, La and we absolutely love this food. So we chose to go to Gen Korean BBQ but to our surprise our hostess/waitress was Extremely rude! not just once or twice but, throughout the whole dining experience! My fiance requested another waiter or waitress after speaking to the manager but nothing was done besides him saying he would speak to the rude waitress, that's unacceptable so we quietly left! I'm not sure if she was having a bad night or this is generally how she acts but where I'm from this is not acceptable and speaks volumes about her character!“

Rich, creamy, and with just the right amount of spice — definitely a heavier comfort meal, but so worth it when you’re craving Korean noodles and soup. Their banchan is always amazing too. Absolutely Incredible Korean Food & Excellent Service!
Not only was the service excellent—attentive, friendly, and fast—but the food itself was phenomenal. We ordered a feast and every dish hit the mark:
♥️Crispy Rice Pot with Shiitake Mushrooms:** The star of the show! The rice at the bottom of the pot was perfectly crispy (*nurungji*), and the earthy shiitake mushrooms added amazing flavor
❤️Barbecue Ribs:** Perfectly marinated, tender, and full of smoky, sweet flavor.
♥️Tofu Soup:** Served bubbling hot, incredibly comforting, and perfectly spiced.
♥️Korean Pancake:** Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and not greasy at all.
♥️Japchae:The glass noodles were perfectly chewy and tossed with fresh, flavorful veggies.

“The best Paik's noodle location I've been to! Just with the kitchen staff differences, my experience with this chain restaurant has not been even across the board. My husband I ordered the crispy pork, Jjampong rice, and black noodles with spicy peppers. Sooo good! Portions are huge and we took the rest of it home.“

“I ate here last night with my mom and daughter. We had a great experience! Everyone came by and made sure we were doing ok, refilled drinks, removed empty dishes, even offering more banchan when they saw it we had eaten ours. The food was all really good. We ordered a la carte: chicken bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi, and beef bulgogi, and when we were finished, someone even packed our leftovers for us and brought me some more kimchi to go. The meat came with banchan, salad, rice and a soup. We also tried the seafood pancake, fried dumplings, and japchae. Very happy with all of it! I look forward to coming back and trying the ayce bbq.“

“Have been going to BobZip for a while now and have been meaning to write a review. I have always been very satisfied with the portion sizes and the food. At this point I have pretty much had at least all of the permanent menu items and tried the daily specials at least once, all of which were really good!

“Visited on New Year’s Eve. The Korean food is bold, authentic, and well seasoned, with a great variety of drinks. Soju is a must. Later at night there was a DJ, good music, and a fun vibe that made eating and drinking very enjoyable. The crowd was mostly younger people living abroad or locals who grew up here.

One small downside was the reservation system. I initially booked a regular table, but it was later canceled because they only accept reservations for karaoke rooms. To be fair, the table option was removed from the system afterward. Luckily, we walked in around 8 pm and had no problem getting a table, as the place really starts filling up closer to 9:30 or 10 pm.

Overall, still a lively and enjoyable spot, especially later at night.“

For the most part we eat the same thing, the wife, fried kimchi with pork and I the spicy seafood tofu soup. The Banchan dishes 😋.
