“absolutely BANGER authentic chinese skewer + late night hang out spot. we got the cabbage, grilled lamb spare ribs, grilled sizzling squid, eggplant skewer, and oyster mushroom skewer. if you order no spicy its still extremely flavorful, but even the mild spicy (we got on the squid) wasn't overbearing. note that this place does have karaoke option so if you're sensitive to loud noises i wouldn't recommend. our waiter was the SWEETEST ever - gave us amazing recommendations and let us have a small sample of the pig ears since we were worried about the spice level. for less than $60, we (2 ppl) have enough leftovers to last 2 more meals (so in total 6 meals for $60). the white rice is $1 per bowl in case u wanted to order some.“
“7 Friday Sushi is truly a hidden gem that my family and I stumbled upon. Despite being nestled away, the warmth of the owner's hospitality and the exceptional quality of their sushi quickly made it a favorite haunt for us. The owner's consistent presence and genuine friendliness add a personal touch to the dining experience. What sets 7 Friday Sushi apart is their willingness to cater to individual preferences, crafting custom sushi combinations on the spot. This level of flexibility ensures that each visit is a unique culinary adventure.Beyond sushi, their menu offers delightful surprises like the irresistible Shaggy Dog Bao, which has become a cherished favorite among my family members. It's evident that the owner, deeply rooted in Cypress, takes pride in his establishment. His passion for providing exceptional food and service resonates throughout the restaurant. Coupled with the friendly and efficient staff, the ambiance is welcoming and vibrant. Moreover, 7 Friday Sushi offers incredible value for the quality they deliver. This establishment proves that exceptional sushi doesn't have to come with an exorbitant price tag.For those in search of a remarkable sushi experience, coupled with personalized service and a sense of community, I wholeheartedly recommend 7 Friday Sushi. It's more than just a dining spot; it's a local treasure waiting to be discovered.“
“Food is so good here! Everything is super fresh and very delicious and made from scratch. Service is top, super friendly. Liza and Elina are amazing! They made us feel very welcomed.Just love this place! Definitely coming back for this delicious food and the best customer service!Recommend it to everyone!“
“Me and my fiancé are obsessed with this place. Our favorite dish by far is “char kwe teow” by a long shot. We literally dream about it. This time we also got the garlic eggplant and salt and pepper squid. No complaints. Staff is very attentive and food comes out pretty quick for a sit down restaurant. If I had I give it a con, it’s very loud. There’s just so many people enjoying their food. ❤️ Definitely worth a visit.“
“This was our first time coming to crawfish cafe and it was so good! When we arrived, there was a short line and we waited about 5 minutes before being seated. We had the crawfish, garlic noodles, queso and cracklins and fried shrimp and catfish plate. Everything was good and the crawfish was 10/10. I got the kickin Cajun flavor with “spicy” spice level which was really spicy but GOOD! Jennifer was our waiter and she was very welcoming and friendly. She met all of our needs even while training another staff member! Our experience here was excellent and we will return!“
“Honestly - the food was awesome and portions were solid, prices were totally fair if not cheap! The hot and sour soup was huge and was tasty. The eggplant was so good - whatever sauce they use was delicious. Mongolian beef was decent enough. I really enjoyed the Kung Pao Chicken though. The Bokchoy was light and fresh. The only weird thing was that is was deathly quiet during lunch time and no music playing to fill the voids.“
“Wow. Great food, excellent service & good prices - all under the same roof. Why did I take so long to discover this gem? Andy's crew took good care of us during my first visit. Kudos to Kinley for reviewing the menu & providing several great recommendations! I was very happy with the Spicy Korean Chicken Fried Rice - but I gotta try that Spreggroll next time. Our table also enjoyed the loaded Aioli Fries, the Honey Spinach Tofu Zoodle & one of the yakisobas. All selections were tasty; all portions were generous; all prices were reasonable. Piper & Kinley checked on us regularly to ensure our enjoyment. Don't wait like I did. Highly recommended!!“
“I really enjoyed this restaurant. I saw it on IG and it did not disappoint at all! The shaking beef was so good! 10/10. The egg rolls contained pork and shrimp but they also was pretty good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. This is def a Houston gem! I normally don’t take the time out to do a review unless it was really great across the board and this place was!“
“The service is great here. As a lifelong vegetarian it's usually difficult to find places that are fully vegetarian. Many of the meals at this place have fake meats which I do not eat as I've never eaten meat. They were able to cater to my needs by not using any of these. The pad thai and Kung pao tofu were really good. Will go again. Highly recommend to vegetarian diets.“
“Ordering their brisket and a side of coconut rice is a must! They have plenty of choices on their menu to accommodate a variety of palates. I've tried several items on their menu and have not been disappointed. You order and pay at the bar, and it's generally open seating unless it's packed. The wait isn't too bad and they have a nice outdoor area where you can sit and wait.Parking: They have a small free parking lot. There is a paid parking lot across the street, free street parking, and valet options.“
“My favorite Chinese in Houston. The hot pots and soup dumplings are delicious, and the garlic Bok Choy is legendary. I prefer spicier dishes, and everything I've had so far is excellent. No complaints. The portions are good for 2, so the overall value is great as well. Highly recommend!“
“Parking horrible. Bathroom DAR. Service was good, atmosphere nice. FOOD...filet mignon 3 out of 5, chicken wings 4, veggies 5, veggie burger 3, lobster spring rolls 5.Over all experience 4. 1 of those 4 is I took my Mom here for our date night.“
“New place for me to visit , pleasantly surprised by the location. Place looks hip, fun and family friendly. Decor was very original and pretty. The food is the tastiest I’ve had out here in a long time and the service was great definitely returning to try more ?Todays favesBlooming Flower teaHot and Spicy dumplings ?Dan Dan noodles ?“
“Always love hughies, but their lent menu is so good!! I'll miss the gumbo when lent is over!Parking: There is parking on both sides of the restaurant so be sure to check the other side if one is full.Kid-friendliness: Kids of all ages were there.“
“Last night was our first time to the blind goat, and we had the best experience! The restaurant is located in our neighborhood and we can definitely see ourselves going there weekly because the food was so good, our waiter was attentive, and they had a highchair for our toddler. We got so many items and couldn’t decide which was our favorite. The cocktails were excellent too! We absolutely love Xin Chao so we are excited to try this place out. The duck noodles, steak, and oysters were my personal favorite. I can’t wait to go back!“
“Wokker has an interesting fusion menu with American, Thai, Chinese and Koran influence. The brisket pad Thai was very good, but the Pickin’ chickin’ appetizer was nothing really special. Overall it was all good with nice Asian flavors. Great smoke and tenderness on the brisket too. I would certainly come try it again when I’m in the area.Kid-friendliness: No issue to bring kids!“
“This legit has to be the best place we have eaten seafood at! Everything is always so fresh & flavorful. My all time favorite is the salt & pepper shrimp with a side of coco loco sauce. Thai Basil on the little neck clams is as well! I hope everyone goes to experience this yummy tasty food at least once!“
“I go here very often. Because I like to eat Japanese food, especially sashimi, I really like salmon. There is a buffet here. and single dishes I really like mochi ice cream. You must come and try it once. You can like it here as much as I do. Open your mind and come try eating here.“
“Really an amazing place. I got the shaking chicken banh mi with french fries. I honestly can't say I've had a better banh mi in my life. The bread was soft, the shaking chicken was savory and perfect. The fries looked double fried and tasted amazing. Staff make you feel at home, and there's a huge selection of on tap beers. Will definitely return.“
“Quick, fast, and delicious! We have had Pei Wei for years and are new to this area and were happy to see one nearby. I'd not seen a takeaway and delivery only concept for this restaurant before. Josh, the GM, came out right as we walked in and even took a couple minutes to help me find a menu item that fit my diet. Food was ready in minutes while we waited in the lobby. If you are nearby or passing through this is a nice stop for some quick Asian food. ?“
“I’ve been to Taste of Mulan a few times and each time the food and the service exceeds my expectations. The people here are very friendly and their dim sum is better than the dim sum I’ve tried in China town. They have many options of dumplings which are available all day. I highly recommend this place!“
“The Spicy Ramen had really great flavor. The pork Katsu was very tasty and went well the the ramen and curry sauce. The chicken katsu with white rice was amazing. The service was very friendly and the wait was minimal. I highly recommend this place.“
“I love the food! It was delicious and flavorful. I ordered a little bit of everything to try. I love the salad dressing. It was very refreshing and the fries was well seasoned. The chicken sandwich was crunchy and crispy. The hamburger was good. I didn't care much for the dessert. Maybe if it was straight out of the fryer it would be good but it was just dough to me. Overall, I enjoyed everything except the dessert. I will be back for the burgers.“
“It's a round gas-powered pit. Uses a Square mesh screen over a fire. Each person gets their own set of tongs, which is a huge plus. The variety given for the price is great. Ordered from the "premium" menu and ate the whole great experience. The server was a tall young man, very polite. Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessible. Seating us took less than a minute from walking in and sitting down.Vegetarian options: Had the broccoli and was given exactly the amount I wanted; a lot. Also, they had many other dishes that were vegetables that should be grilled over the barbie.Parking: Parked right in front kf the establishment. Had no trouble finding parking and when we left there were other spots open. Easy to navigate.“
“I always come when Anali is working because she is an AMAZING server! The food is always so delicious and it really benefits having a server who is so attentive and on the ball, always! I typically go for the all you can eat option and it’s SO worth the price!!“
“I got the Amboy burger and hand cut fries. The burger had interesting soft white bun (slightlyyyy sweet)- while it was unique and decent, I prefer a more toasted (?) bun. The patty was quite thick so while the burger looked deceptively small, it was quite big and justified the price. I didn't love the patty consistency but the burger overall tasted good, although nothing inherently unique or Filipino. The fries were pretty underwhelming- next time I would try their loaded fries.“
“I think this meets the expectation of a great sushi restaurant, but has a very interesting decor and modern classy atmosphere. A step up from most sushi places, which are typically great inside. Saki must really be profitable lol.We had an assortment of sushi and appetizers, and mochi for dessert. The stand out was the delicate seared scallops with truffle sauce. Only 2 on the plate, but they were subtly scrumptious. The mochi dessert was very average though, a bit of a let down. Also, they could have provided spicier wasabi. I didn't achieve the enjoyable nasal distress phenomenon that I aim for, but I'm a dumb American sushi devourer.“
“I recently dined at Sasaki Japanese Restaurant in Houston, Texas, and it was an absolute delight! The food was exceptional, Here are some highlights:*Flavorful Sushi and Sashimi: The sushi and sashimi were incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and had authentic Japanese flavors.*Intimate Atmosphere: Sasaki is a cozy little gem tucked away on Westheimer Road. The intimate ambiance adds to the overall experience. It’s perfect for a quiet dinner or a special occasion.*Attentive Service: The staff at Sasaki went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. From recommendations to timely service, they truly cared about our satisfaction.I wholeheartedly recommend Sasaki. It’s a hidden gem that deserves more recognition.“
“Toyori is an interesting fusion restaurant which serves both Japanese ramen and Taiwanese sizzling steak. While I cannot speak to the Japanese ramen, I say that their signature rib-eye steak was some of the best I've ever had. What made it stand out:1. The sauce - I typically go for the classic black pepper sauce but the combination of the black pepper sauce with the mushroom and tomato sauce was too intriguing to pass up. I was a big fan of the sauce (even though I'm not the biggest fan of tomatoes in general).2. The steak was a perfect medium as ordered. I find that I don't usually pay much attention to how the steaks on these sizzling plates are cooked since they're usually pretty thin but Toyori's steak was not only cooked perfectly but was tasty as well.3. Portion size for the sizzling steak was good; I certainly was not hungry after eating everything.I will also note that the service was fantastic for our party of seven, and their physical menus have large beautiful pictures of the food. All in all, I will definitely be back for the sizzling steak (and maybe the ramen) when I'm back in Houston.“
“I came in here for lunch on Friday morning and WOW. My mouth is still watering. From the moment my partner and I walked in until the moment we left, we had an awesome and pleasant experience. Atmosphere was peaceful and cozy. The food was just perfect. The only suggestion I'd make is maybe for the half-booth wooden low top tables to be a little higher from the wooden seating area, the table felt really low so I sat in the chair. For most it's probably not an issue but personally it was a bit uncomfortable for me until I sat in the chair part of it. Another low top table we sat at originally for two people had huge long spacing that made us feel super far from each other until we moved.Food:• Not Our Ma's Eggrolls• Smoked Beef Cheek Dumplings• Braised Pork and Crispy Rice• Banh MiI had their Vietnamese espresso martini and yummmmm it was delish. For appetizers we had the eggrolls as well as the beef dumplings. I loved how the eggrolls had a thicker shell than most places. But the dumplings were so different and the flavors was just on point. The broth IS spicy though for the people who aren't about that spicy life ! My partner doesn't eat spicy stuff but he couldn't get enough of this dish. The fact he kept eating it was enough to show me how much he loved it before he spoke on it.For entrees, I had the braised pork and crispy rice and my partner had a banh mi, I didn't see the name of his entree online but it was the first banh mi out of the two listed on the menu. But OH my gosh my dish was just so.... heavenly. It was served in a stone bowl which kept my food hot and crisped up my rice. The egg was perfection. Definitely one of the best entrees I've had in a very long time. My partner loved his banh mi. I tried it too but still loved mine more.I dream of the braised pork and crispy rice entree. If I could come here every day for that dish I would. I would love to try other menu items on my next visit but my taste buds might hate me if I were to miss out on that dish every chance I get. If I could give this place a million stars I would.“
“Excellent food! And even better customer service! Walked over to Little Woodrows after a Savnnah Banana game and came across this food truck. Was with a friend who couldn't have meat and they gave us a side of Kimchi and Meat ( for me) with our fries. Very good food! Definitely recommend.“
“I had a lovely experience at wanna bao! The service was great and the food was excellent!! I absolutely ADORE scallion pancakes and theirs did not disappoint! Their chili oil is delish and the crispy popcorn chicken thingies I ordered were so tasty with subtle heat and came plated so adorably! I do highly recommend dining here.“
“Good food, good location with decent prices. I ordered take out, paid online. The hot spring rolls were ok, but a little mushy on the inside. The rice was great and I love the no veggies option. Egg drop soup was good, but the taste of green onion was a little to strong for my taste. I do wish they gave the crispy noodles with the soup. Everything I needed came with the order. There is an option for utensils when ordering online. My order was ready when I walked in, the lady was nice, but not to much of a greet. I paid 20$ for two small spring rolls, a bowl of rice & and a cup of soup.“
“Absolutely best non MSG home made Pho, superb and unique Flambé steak with rice, shredded chicken spring rolls!! We have come to this place since the rice village days too for over 20 years and the second owner is even better than the first!“
“(don’t mind me digging in before i took a picture) the actual plates are so cute; they spent money on cartoony cat bowls and the actual food was amazing. i don’t eat much normally but i finished all of my food in one sitting that’s how good it was!! i got the curry chicken ramen it was so filling and had lots of flavor and extras in bowl; it wasn’t plain at all. this place is completely underrated; i went in on a saturday afternoon and i was the only person there!! more people should be eating here. the service was obviously amazing there was only one person working but he made sure i was attended to“
“James our server ! Very attentive and fast excellent customer service! Very humble man. The food was excellent! We got the sampler to start and the combination pho! Very hot like I like my pho ! Thank you ! We’ll be back when in town ! Very clean place !“
“Phenomenal. Everything was perfect ?. I'm so grateful that we saw a sign on Eldridge, and that we decided to try it. We'll definitely visit again. We signed up for Rewards too. So happy that this new choice is in Cypress. Thank you so much.“
“I have now been to Whisper 3 times. I wanted to wait to write this review to see if this restaurant/lounge would give me the same feeling. It did not disappoint. The service is so great. The staff gave me an experience! The ambience is beautiful. The music is soft so if you're on a date you can actually enjoy the conversation as well as vibe out. Now the food...DELICIOUS! The appetizer oxtail potstickers are to die for. The oxtail bowl, chicken tenders, tacos, salmon and rice are amazing. This new restaurant is definitely a must visit. It's a whole vibe!“
“Authentic Vietnamese restaurant with a clean and cool interior decor. The waitress offered super fast service and the food was delicious. My lemon grass beef bun was grilled and flavorful. My dining partner had the spring rolls and traditional beef pho, both were so good! We had other friends who also joined us later and order the mignon beef, grilled chicken with shrimp rice plate, won ton noodle soup, and the stir fry noodles. None of the dishes disappoint. A huge selection of drinks including milk tea and juice. Since they are not a Chinese restaurant, I opt for the Vietnamese fresh lemon lime juice which was perfect for catching my vitamin Cs on a cold rainy day in Houston!“
“I really like this place. They had a change in the menu, but the food feels like it's prepared with better ingredients, an extra level of flavor. The service has changed a lot, the waiters enjoy serving you. It used to be very different, but on my visit, they really impressed me. Plus, they give you the check with a cotton candy panda! The place has improved a lot“
“Very interesting selection of Asian fusion dishes. The quality and value were very good. The special of the day (roast beef) was very flavorful and the grilled chicken tikis was as well. We also had a very nice Brussels sprout salad. The wait for our food was reasonable and it was fresh. Definitely one of our favorite stalls at Post.“
“There's always bn seating when I come here and the food is Lovely. My favs are Pork/Chicken Krapraw, Por Pai (pork ans shrimp egg rolls) and Wings Zab (medium spicy). Down fall is the language barrier. I become frustrated to order ? esp. over the phone or when "hangry". I get over it when the food arrives! “
“Wide variety of gua bao so you can try different things each time you come or find something that fits your taste. I have ordered delivery from here but also had it in person. Unfortunately, the day we went in person the AC was not working and it felt like a greenhouse in the dining area. The food was still good though!“
“Sushi was so good! Have several Vegan/Vegetarian friendly options! Customizable too!I ordered Yammy Roll with Cream Cheese Added. My daughter ordered Firecracker Roll, and did Shrimp Tempura instead of Crab. Its her favorite! The Miso Soup was SOOOO good and soothing in this cold weather! We ordered the Agadashi Tofu with No Bonito Flakes (fish skin flakes), because Im vegetarian. And again, it was so delicious. They have a wide variety of drinks, from cocktails to Flavored Sake, to Ramune flavored soda.Overall, definitely my go to sushi spot!“
“The owner Judy is so nice and accommodating. She always presents with a smile. Food is delicious and the atmosphere is very chill. My favorite items are the Black Garlic tonkatsu ramen and their special crunchy roll? (#15).*Already ate some of the sushi in the pic!Parking: Free parking in shopping lot.“
“I ordered through Ubereats. the food was still super hot and delicious ! I was alittle scared to try it but omg. The brisket sandwhich was alittle bland but I still enjoyed it, the cream cheese puffs, and the wings are all freaking amazing !! I enjoyed very “
“UPDATE:We have now been back two times since our poor post-pandemic experience. We had a wonderful experience and delicious, hot, fresh food each time. Everyone there has been kind and thoughtful. I am so happy they found their way back, and I highly recommend them to everyone.PREVIOUS REVIEW:Loving Hut used to be my favorite restaurant in Houston. The server was super friendly and knowledgeable, the food was delicious, the portions were large enough to share, and the restaurant had a nice vibe. When we went yesterday for lunch, though, it wasn’t at all what it was pre-covid. They did not have half the dishes we ordered, the portion sizes were greatly reduced, they forgot one of our orders and then claimed we never ordered it. When I showed proof of the order, they refunded our money, but did not explain or apologize for the error. It seems they now only carry pre-made food items like breaded soy patties, french fries, etc. Those who had the Happy Crispy Burger said it was tasty, but whatever they used in the Spicy Cha Cha was just fried and flavorless. The Lovepucinos were very good. Sadly, I can no longer recommend Loving Hut in Houston.“
“We are regulars, but just ate at The Blue Fish for Valentine’s Day. The manager was very hands on, helping his staff and very personable with every table. He truly made our night. We come often, but tonight was our first experience with him as the manager on duty. Great food, quality sushi, and great leadership. We will continue to come back!“
“Hello foodie folks…can I just say wow…crazy new spot in the heart of H-town Galleria area that just opened two days ago and still in their soft opening phases. However, they got their system and wonderfully, smiling staff together. They are inside a new Food Hall and I love the give. Went here during lunch and there definitely was a strong vibe and energy level. The food was seasoned well and good portion size. Good amount of shrimps, tasty noodles and delish Brussels sprouts!! If you want to just lounge around, there are comfy booths and seats all over. Come check them out. ChowChow Time!!“
“The kobe beef skewers were great.Iberico Shumai was awesome. But the Texas Kobe Beef Yakiniku Don stole the show. One of the best sushi experiences I've ever had. Service could not have been better. Drinks were excellent. Truly a top notch restaurant.“
