Found on Google while we were in Houston and were craving Viet cajun style food. Ordered the gumbo, combo fried rice, chicken cajun pasta, shaken beef, catfish and shrimp platter, and southern fries. Everything was well-seasoned and tasty. Crispy catfish and fries. Crawfish wasn't available on our visit. Courteous and friendly staff. I'm surprised they weren't busier at opening time.

This is one of the places that make Houston the special chaotic melting pot we all love. Located in a formerly demilitarized zone, that normally only serves as flyover state between suburbia and Downtown, this place brings together South East Asian and South East American cuisine in a unique way. Particular highlight are the crawfish boils which come by 2lbs increments for around $10/lbs. Seasonings are always on point. Heavy duty gloves but no bibs. With big TVs and a welcoming atmosphere, this hidden gem is perfect for those craving a mix of Vietnamese street food and Southern comfort. The menu also offers refreshing drinks like mango and pineapple slushies, which are icy cold and very refreshing. The lemon honey pepper wings with fries were sooo tasty, the egg rolls were perfectly crispy, and the Bò Lúc Lắc was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The gumbo was absolutely delicious. Tried out their HRW menu and ordered some additional items. The flavored tea is really good. The shrimp were flavorful and tasty. The service was top notch friendly, attentive, and fast. The crawfish spot has amazing flavor and the seasoning was spot-on. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor.
