So clearly, they don’t pay me to advertise & they don’t have to because I come here whenever I’m downtown for anything. I call ahead and take it to Katy.

I know this place before it was here. Before, it was across the street.

These peeps are legit. Just come here and you won’t be disappointed. This is my staple go to is the anything really.

“A good test for a restaurant is how it performs on what should be an “off night” in the middle of the week on a Wednesday.
Annam’s kitchen met the mark! The service was too inconsistent and not on par with a restaurant of this price point and acclaim, especially compared other upscale dining experiences in Houston.
The Annam ceviche is beautifully presented though the traditional Vietnamese flavors overpower the delicate white fish. The mango salad with shrimp was well balanced and the pork jowl lettuce wrap may have been the best dish we tried there. Lamb chop was flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium.
Unfortunately the service was too spotty. We arrived on time for our reservation, the restaurant was half empty yet we still had to wait five minutes for our table to be ready. No one at the bar bothered to check on us or ask if we needed anything while waiting.
It took almost 10 minutes before anyone came by to take our drink order. We came close to just walking out and leaving. No explanation of the food, recommendations, etc when we did get service.
Aside from one gentleman with glasses who brought out one of our dishes and explained it, the rest of the front of the house staff seemed like a collection of people they had picked up from the mall that day and asked if they wanted to work a dinner service that night. A woman who I presume was a manager on duty came by to check on us after we already had our food and by then we felt it was too late to bother giving our opinion of the earlier mishaps.
We appreciated the yummy dessert they offered for a birthday we were celebrating — which was some type of pandan cake.“

“This was our second visit and it was as good as the first! These sandwiches are bigger than most other banh mis around town, and the bread is perfectly crisp and chewy without hurting the roof of your mouth. All the sandwich fillings taste very fresh!“

“Everyone I have brought here has been impressed by the food. The food is hot and fresh and consistent every time. Other Vietnamese restaurants taste bland now because I always compare them to here. I have tried the Pho Dac Biet, Bun Rieu, Cahn Bun, Specialty Bahn Mi, fried egg roll, and shrimp fresh roll. Portion sizes are enough to eat half at the restaurant and take the other half home for another meal. I especially appreciate the waiter who usually wears a hat, not sure of his name but he helped explain menu items and encourages me to try new items every time. He always has a smile and is very proud to have people try food from his country.“

“I came here with my family and everything was delicious! We had complimentary shrimp chips as we looked at the menu. We ordered banh xeo, bun dau mam tom, goi cuon, pha lau and bo la lot. All the food was made fresh to order and came out quicker than we expected. Each dish had its own sauce which is a rarity since they are cumbersome to make. The sauces were mam tom, mam nem, thuong dau phong, nuoc mam, nuoc mam tac. The gentleman helped was so helpful and the free Che at the end was delicious! They have some dishes that you will not find in your typical Vietnamese restaurant. Please give this place a try!“

Simply outstanding food. Best Chicken Satay I've ever had, superior Pad Thai noodles loaded with shrimp, beef and chicken, and a savory curry dish with chicken.

We got great service from the smiling staff with good advice on spice levels, and in addition to very reasonable prices. If I lived down near NASA, I would be ordering carry-out from Thai Jasmine regularly.

I've been looking for a second reason to visit NASA and take the tour. Lunch at Thai Jasmine is that reason.“

“Pho and More has become one of my favorite places to eat! The service is always so friendly and welcoming, and the food is consistently delicious. The pho broth always has the perfect flavor, rich, comforting, and so consistent every single time. I may be basic, but the chicken pho is my go to and it always makes me feel good!

The grilled chicken salad is AMAZING. It’s so fresh and flavorful. The chicken tastes like it’s marinated with lemongrass, which gives it such a great flavor without being overpowering. And the dressing, I seriously think I could drink it!

One thing I really appreciate is that I never feel guilty eating here because the food feels fresh and healthy. Highly recommend Pho and More to anyone looking for delicious Vietnamese food and warm hospitality. Big shout out to the sweet family that runs it; they are some of the kindest people!“

“First time trying this place based on an article I saw from Eatery and it did not disappoint! It was so satisfying that I decided to write this 5 star review right away. I got the banh mi thit nuong (bbq pork baguette) and the seasoning was just right with a slight buttery taste on the baguette. The baguette was soft and fluffy yet still maintained a little crispiness on the outside but not to where it will injure the upper roof of your mouth. Anyway the banh mi thit nuong reminds me of this other place I used to love but stopped going there because quality went down. Glad I tried this place and this will be my go-to banh mi shop from now on! I will definitely be back to try the other banh mi! I hope they maintain their quality!“

“This place has great food, great teas and great coffee. Very relaxing and friendly atmosphere. I’m a regular, I have tried everything on the menu as far as food and working on the drink menu. So far everything is good and the price is fair. The staff is incredibly friendly, Ashley, Ruby and Thuy and the male barista have always taken good care of my family and I, and our orders are always correct. Even when we get a bit picky on certain items and how we want them. They always accommodate us. This is a great place. I’m usually always on the go so I don’t stay, but place is very nice and calm. “Went there for lunch since I was on that side of town for work and got it to go. It was delicious! I got the shaking beef, shrimp fried rice, and egg rolls. I appreciated the pieces of garlic cloves with the beef. I will be back even though I live 40 minutes away! The service was great and the woman cashiers was extremely nice.“

True mom and pop restaurant. Owned by a couple with their son helping the heavy lifting. I believe the dad makes the food, mom greets the customers. The mom is so caring and truly cares about the service and food quality.

Ordered the banh mi and com tam. They have different banh mi options, I particularly got the cold cut and grilled pork. They really stuff it with soooo much meat. The cold cut was amazing!Sandwich itself can last you the whole day.

Amazing service, the lady really demonstrates care in the quality of the food by walking by and asking if you like the food and what you don’t like about it. The food is super flavorful!

Will be back to try the other banh mis. Apparently the meatball is popular.“

“Tai Kee is one of those places where you can tell the food speaks louder than the decor. Family-owned, welcoming, and honestly some of the best comfort food I’ve had in a while. I heard their fried rice is packed with flavor and the pho is rich and comforting. My fam had the egg noodles which are definitely a must-try! I had the vermicelli noods with the beef and it was great!

Their moon cake is 🔥the tarot is very soft and very moist but you have to eat it the day of!

If you’re looking for trendy Gen Z aesthetics and neon signs for Instagram pics, this probably isn’t the spot. But if you care about authentic, delicious food made well, this place absolutely delivers. Definitely would come back again!“

“I'm not vegetarian but my gf is and we found this gem of a restaurant! There is plenty of parking and inside the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful! We were seated right away, serviced, and the food came out so quickly! We ordered bun hue, ca kho to, cha gio, and nuoc dua, and it was all really delicious and pretty comparable to the authentic Vietnamese dishes while being completely vegetarian. This place definitely jumped the ranks as one of our favorite restaurants ever!! We can't wait to come back.“

“Absolutely delicious. I got the general chicken with fried rice and 2 egg rolls.

I have to start off by saying it was the best fried rice I've ever had from a restaurant. The rice was soft, and just a little chewy, not overly mushy or crunchy, cooked just right. The flavor was lightly sweet and eggy, unlike the fried rice I have had from other places that was dry and drowned in overpowering soy sauce. It was great both on its own and paired with the chicken.

And now the general chicken itself was perfect. The meat was juicy and tender, there was plenty of veggies (I especially loved the crispness of the water chestnuts), and the sauce was spicy and full of flavor; it tasted a bit like sriracha.

The dinner meal portion size was very generous, too. I didn't take a picture because I was not expecting to leave a review, but I was starting to feel full halfway through it.

The wait for my food was on the longer side, but I know that's because it was being made fresh, and the wait staff was very friendly and kept me updated.

All in all, I am 100 percent coming back, and I am telling my friends and family.“

“They have the best Hot and Sour Soup! I have missed Miss Saigon since they moved from their rice village location. I’ve tried other Vietnamese Hot and Sour soup and nothing compares. Their banh mi and spring rolls are delicious. When I was pregnant and had an aversion to beef , they happily made me a meatless banh mi. ☺️🤤 I can’t wait to introduce my little foodie son to Miss Saigon.“

“If you like Vietnamese “Bánh Xèo” (a.k.a. Vietnamese crepe or pancake), then visit this restaurant and go nowhere else further. This restaurant serves world’s best Bánh Xèo. It’s that simple.

Bánh Xèo here is so big, so crunchy, so tasty….It’s not even debatable! And the fish sauce that comes with it was so carefully and beautifully prepared that we would award it as world’s best fish sauce ever! And the greens that came with it: so fresh and so plentiful…. We counted a total of 6 different types of greens. It’s world’s best greens that come with a Vietnamese crepe!!!

We were treated well as customers. The waiting staff on our visit happened to be a friend of the owner as we were told and was very personable. She treated us with a karaoke version of The Crickets’ “More Than I Can Say.” That song was released in 1960 and is timeless. As timeless as this Vietnamese Bánh Xèo….We never get tired of eating it here because it’s that good.“

“Decided to finally try this place using the advertised marketing from back of my Kroger receipt, straying from our usual go-to place from down the street. Though, pricier but you get a LOT more food and tastier, so overall a good value. We both got the lunch combo C for half pho and sandwich, egg roll, and a lemonade. Pho was definitely more authentic and double size portion from our usual go-to, same for the one Vietnamese egg roll. I liked it came with lettuce and carrot to roll as default without having to ask for it. The size of egg roll and filling was satisfying. I had the grilled beef and my son had the pork banh mi. Both was filling on the protein, they don’t skimp out so a big plus but the bread was hard and stale tasting due to the way they warmed it up, and that was the only negative. Freshly made lemonade was also good. Server stopped by several times to ensure we were okay. After the third time he checked in while paying, I decided to share my feedback and he didn’t receive it too well based on his reaction so there was bit of exchange which then embarrassed my son. A man profusely apologized sincerely and offered to make up for it as we were leaving. I appreciated it but I was not expecting anything back. My intention was to provide constructive feedback for improvement so they will continue to thrive in the competitive restaurant business in the area.“

Tea itself was spot-on: I could taste the jasmine and the cream and it had just the right amount of sweetness. The chicken banh mi was delicious! Taste and looks like the one my brother in law cook. The place is clean, organized. The service from the woman and the elderly man make me feel like I’m in a full service restaurant. “Kim Tai is a real jewel in the rough with the hole in the wall appearance giving way to outstanding food and super nice folks running the place. We had the rock n roll beef (pictured - delicious), banh mi with pork (solid), wide rice noodle with pork and bean sprouts (outstanding), bun with pork and egg roll (average) and crawfish (pictured - excellent). Overall, really good food and reasonably priced. Great service. Beer suitable for the food. Definitely would come back again when in Houston.“
