“WOW- best pho I've had in a looong while. I could smell the fragrance from the broth before it reached my table and I feel truly nourished after eating. Great quality food and amazing flavor. I also got spring rolls and my big pet peeve is lazy mild rolls and this place blew me away with actual delicious rolls with more filling than just some bland lettuce. This is by far my go to pho spot now- give them a try!!“

“This place is a gem!! It’s been a long time since I have eaten here because I moved further away. I didn’t know if it was still here, but it is. Seating available immediately. We didn’t have to wait long on the food. The food of still fabulous!! I will definitely be back!!“

“We stumbled upon this spot and realized it’s actually Don Cafe’s second location—you can’t miss the owner’s familiar face on the window poster! This is a fantastic alternative to the original because it’s much less crowded, and they conveniently accept card payments. The sandwiches are just as delicious and consistent as the first shop. My only minor gripe is that the lighting is a bit darker here compared to the original.“

“Glad I came across this Viet-Cajun fusion place as a social media recommendation. The flavors offered and value were exceptional, and we had a great experience with food, service and atmosphere. I think most customers are probably local from Westchase but this place deserves way more publicity.
We ordered the hush puppies, Bo luc lac/shaking beef with fried rice, honey lemon pepper wings, and Southside Cajun pasta with shrimp. I always thought I didn’t like hush puppies because they’re usually so bready but these were the best I’ve ever had. Kind of like a honey biscuit + cornbread combo with an incredible crispy buttery texture.
The server let us know about the 10 for $10 wing deal, awesome, and the wings were insane! Crisp, flavorful, never got soggy. Need to try the regular lemon pep next. The pasta and shaking beef were both perfect and hit the spot.“

“This restaurant is off the chain. I’ve had pho at a lot of other places but the pho here is the absolute best Ive ever had. The broth is phenomenal. The staff there are extremely friendly and the service is top notch! You HAVE to try this place out, you’ll thank me later! 😄🤙🏼“

“Not Just some pho. Try the soft shell crab, fresh and crunchy. I don't see this dish in other pho places.
The pho was good and reasonably priced. The combination with a short rib is only $15. The pho portion size was more than enough four me.
My wife ordered the vermicelli with grilled chicken. The chicken was seasoned with a dry rub. We prefer the wet marinade style.
We'll be back. There's a couple of others dishes i don't see often and would to try. Not Just pho.“

“I came here with my friends and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was and how warm and welcoming the service was. The owner and all of the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel at home. They even offered complimentary sweet soup for customers, which was such a thoughtful and generous gesture.
Everything we ordered was flavorful and fresh, and the overall dining experience exceeded our expectations. I will definitely come back to this restaurant whenever I visit Houston. Highly recommended!“

“Good place to eat and serves great portions if you know what you're asking for. If you're non vietnamese speaking, ask for the special bowl with the beef bone and that is what you will get. The marrow and meat is so tender and flavorful when mixed with the soup. It yields an immense amounts of complimentary flavor with the broth they have already made by default. Strongly recommend ordering this. Service is good at start but dont expect a refill automatically unless you raise your hand and ask for it. The owner is very sweet and reminds you of a mother or grandmother you wish you could have.“

“Best dang pho I’ve ever had in Houston I gotta say which was odd cause I didn’t expect it to be in this area where less viet ppl live but mannnnn highly recommend and their summer rolls were good too but phew I could go on all day about their pho. Only thing is it was pretty basic nothing crazy special but also note they will give you extra bean sprouts if you ask free of charge unlike wha the menu says that extra veggies cost money if you ask only bean sprouts a little more I think they’re more lenient has“

“Nice Vietnamese place in Chinatown. We wanted to get Vietnamese, but didn’t know where to go and thought this place looked authentic. The menu is pretty small- I think just Bahn Mi and Broken Rice, with different types of meat. I tried the broken rice and my mom had the pork bahn mi. The portions are huge, but the meat is super flavorful. The lady who served us and was also really nice. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area“

“First time trying this place based on an article I saw from Eatery and it did not disappoint! It was so satisfying that I decided to write this 5 star review right away. I got the banh mi thit nuong (bbq pork baguette) and the seasoning was just right with a slight buttery taste on the baguette. The baguette was soft and fluffy yet still maintained a little crispiness on the outside but not to where it will injure the upper roof of your mouth. Anyway the banh mi thit nuong reminds me of this other place I used to love but stopped going there because quality went down. Glad I tried this place and this will be my go-to banh mi shop from now on! I will definitely be back to try the other banh mi! I hope they maintain their quality!“

From the bread, veggies, beef, the broth, the food was so delicious just felt like I was in someone grandma kitchen getting fed! Thank you for the great, amazing food and excellent atmosphere.“

“Went there for lunch since I was on that side of town for work and got it to go. It was delicious! I got the shaking beef, shrimp fried rice, and egg rolls. I appreciated the pieces of garlic cloves with the beef. I will be back even though I live 40 minutes away! The service was great and the woman cashiers was extremely nice.“

“I have been eating here at least once a week (usually twice a week), for several years. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like! Food is always fresh, hot, and clearly made with love. The owners are SO sweet and truly care about each guest and their experience. I routinely drive out of my way and past several other Vietnamese restaurants to come to Mama Le’s. I literally can’t explain enough how much I LOVE eating here. We bring all our out of town guests here too! My favorite is the Lemongrass Beef and the Bahn Mi.“

“If you like Vietnamese “Bánh Xèo” (a.k.a. Vietnamese crepe or pancake), then visit this restaurant and go nowhere else further. This restaurant serves world’s best Bánh Xèo. It’s that simple.
Bánh Xèo here is so big, so crunchy, so tasty….It’s not even debatable! And the fish sauce that comes with it was so carefully and beautifully prepared that we would award it as world’s best fish sauce ever! And the greens that came with it: so fresh and so plentiful…. We counted a total of 6 different types of greens. It’s world’s best greens that come with a Vietnamese crepe!!!
We were treated well as customers. The waiting staff on our visit happened to be a friend of the owner as we were told and was very personable. She treated us with a karaoke version of The Crickets’ “More Than I Can Say.” That song was released in 1960 and is timeless. As timeless as this Vietnamese Bánh Xèo….We never get tired of eating it here because it’s that good.“

Bread was warm and toasty, the pork was cooked to perfection with great flavor! Got here around 12:10pm and was not packed at all. The ladies are so nice. You can tell they cook with love here! Will keep coming back! After I finished my food went ahead and ordered some spring rolls to go and that was also delicious!“

“I have got to say this is probably one of my top 5 pho places so far.
We got a XL Brisket, Steak, and Tendon pho and a L Traditional Pho.
The portions were huge, everything tasted fresh, and we really enjoyed the flavor of the soup and beef. Not super oily and I left feeling full and one of the few times where I was actually too full to finish the soup.
If I lived in that area I'd definitely go every week.“

“This is a little bit further down on Bellaire but we have been there twice. I have eaten a lot of their special dishes because I like to taste authentic Vietnamese food. If you are ever curious about how the Vietnamese really eat go there immediately and be adventurous. You will not be disappointed. I am not Vietnamese and yet tried a dish that was more of a sampler but you dipped everything into shrimp paste. There are many Vietnamese who will not eat it due to its strong aroma and smell. I took a chance and ate it. The paste was strong but honestly super cool and fun to try. It's amazing that someone would have invented something like shrimp paste but no big deal. It was pretty darn good.“

“My favorite restaurant!!! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorites are to start off with the Bo Bia and do the Bo Luc Lac as my main course. The soups are all delicious too! And can’t go wrong with dessert! Either I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Came in around 12:30pm after a haircut. It was only me and another guest. Ordered the small chao long, which was a pretty decent portion, along with a side of fried doughnut. Food was delicious, and definitely fixed my craving. Not sure if it’s normally dead in there, but hoping that they get more guests. The young girl who took my order and the aunties working the shop were all so nice.“

“Save yourself from reading these reviews. Just GO. Everything we tried from bun Bo hue (beef noodle soup) to banh bot loc (shrimp/pork dumpling in banana leaf) to the grilled pork & rice dish was amazing. Our server Sandy, was awesome too - friendly, gave recommendations and was attentive. Loved her and loved the food. We will absolutely be back. Can’t believe we went this long in Houston without coming here! Major mistake. Don’t be like me. Just go and eat delicious viet food!
And I’m seeing other reviews noting they were scammed or incorrect charges - we had no issue with our bill and paid by credit card.“

“First time in Houston and my friends brought me here for brunch! Once I walked in I was greeted nicely and noticed the place was busy. We were seated in the booth area which was comfy. My friends recommended me a dish name Bo Ne. So I decided to give it a try. The wait was faster than I expected. My dish was served hot and looked very delicious with all my favorites on a plate with a side salad! Beef, cherry tomatoes, onions, eggs and fresh baguette with pate and butter! (: The salad was also yummy! The dressing as well. Coming from a cook myself I would like to give a shoutout to the chef! I give the dish an 11/10! My waitress Thian was so sweet and very helpful! She gets an 11/10 as well! (:
There is a pitcher with ice cold water on the table so no need to ask or wait to be asked for refills every few minutes. I don’t drink alcohol anymore but they had good selections. The dining area was busy and cultural. It can be a bit cleaner just keeping it real. Other than that I give the whole experience a 10/10. The parking lots was mostly filled surprisingly! I am guessing because it’s a Sunday and everyone just got out of church who knows but was still able to find parking luckily. I will definitely come back in the near future to try other dishes and hoping it will be delicious at the Bo Ne! My friends wasn’t kidding! If you are in the area go give Hem Bar and Grill a try! Thank me later! (:“

“I hadn’t had Hu Tieu in ages, and the craving hit hard—I needed a spot ASAP!😩I used to go to Phan Ky, but since they left their old location in Bellaire, it’s hasn’t been the same.
This Hu Tieu was packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. I got the P6, Hu Tieu with egg noodles and thin rice noodles dry, and it satisfied my cravings.
Hole-in-the-wall vibes but seriously good. If you’re hungry, get the large. The small didn’t cut it, and I had to order extra noodles.“
