“Miss V is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere in the greater Houston area. The food is outstanding (I’ve tried most of the menu). They provide great service and they pay attention to the food presentation. The combination of the quality food, service, and atmosphere always makes the meal a very enjoyable experience.“
“My wife and I had a late lunch yesterday around 3pm. It is a nice quiet place especially at this time.Ordered Tofu Spring roll, Stir fry Tofu egg plant green beans, Jasmine Tea, Sugarcane juice and the fried plantain with coconut ice cream. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food came promptly and was very delicious.Loved the atmosphere, lots of country side pictures from Vietnam on the wall which are so beautiful. We will come back again to try more vegetarian options. Meanwhile, highly recommend others to check it out and share your experience.“
“Its been more than 5 years that Ive been coming with my family to eat their delicious food. They treat their customers good. Very calm and peaceful atmosphere. Restaurant is always very clean, also food is fresh and tasty.Kid-friendliness: They have kids size Pho ?“
“Staff was super friendly, welcoming and service was pretty fast! Different selections of custom Banh Mi to choose from on top of a wide selection of boba milk tea drinks. Interior has a very nice warming aesthetics as well! Overall, a great experience for the first time trying this spot! Would definitely come back soon to try their different items!“
“Updated review:Changed from 1 star to 4 stars. The restaurant was very responsive to this review and I truly appreciate the offer of full refund and further discounts to make things right. I understand a business has to make money and things happen sometimes. I most likely won't collect on the offer on the refund but just hope the quality of the food will be improved.Original review: Just bought 5 lbs of crawfish to go since i saw the sign saying crawfish available today for 10 dollars a lb. I asked twice if it's live and didn't get an answer but it's during crawfish season and i got it for 8.99 for live ones at another restaurant last week so i figured they should be live since it's more expensive at this one. When we got home to eat, the crawfishs were definitely precooked frozen and not live ones. Our family each ate a couple hoping they were just a few bad ones but the we all just stopped after about 3 each and tossed the rest. One of us almost threw up from the poor quality of the crawfish. Even for frozen standard, they were the low quality ones. Been to this restaurant a few times before but definitely NOT coming back. Felt like I've been scammed, but to be fair the lady never answered my question about it being live or not.“
“Saigon Basil offers an exceptional dining experience for those seeking to explore Vietnamese cuisine. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or new to Vietnamese food, this restaurant is sure to impress with its delicious dishes, warm hospitality, and authentic Vietnamese ambiance.“
“I am from Louisiana and I heard about it and I definitely had to come and try for myself and from what you said good food good service pleasant atmosphere and definitely the food was great. We order the crawfish, Cajun rice and fried shrimp, tilapia basket with seasoned fries. It was delicious ?? we even ordered ball, shrimp, corn, and potato on the way out to bring home that how good the food is.., definitely gotta come try LA Crawfish “
“Food & Service:The menu at this Vietnamese-Cajun fusion spot dazzles with its vibrant flavors, marrying traditional dishes with fresh, local ingredients. A prime example of this culinary artistry is the Shrimp Étouffée, a dish that brings a novel twist to the Cajun classic, making each bite a revelation.Beyond the standout dishes, the service adds to the restaurant’s charm. The staff’s attentiveness and warmth ensure a delightful dining experience, readily recommending dishes and accommodating families with genuine care. With offerings that range from spicy seafood boils to delicate spring rolls, there’s something for every palate. The combination of inventive food and helpful service creates a dining experience that goes beyond the meal itself, inviting diners back to explore more of this unique culinary fusion.“
“i absolutely LOVE this placeit gives such a homey vibe, from the food-the service and the people who work here give such a home vibe. the food is absolutely amazing! idk why it’s not bigger than what it is but let’s keep it like that lol cuz every time i come in there’s not that many people which is perfect for me (social anxiety vibes)just ugh every thing about this place is sooooo good. they’re super clean. very fast service. i believe it’s family owned but anyways if you’re thinking of eating here please do!! i recommend B11“
“Bread was the perfect combination of crispy and fluffy! The BBQ pork was super flavorful (chicken not as much). $5-$7 per sandwich depending on the filling (specialty may be more), but seemed like about the right price for what was being served. Milk Tea was good. Plenty of parking outside and lots of seating to enjoy the food inside.“
“Update: Thanks for your prompt feedback. I edited the post and give 4 stars for your nice gesture of following up on the review. I like your restaurant. Will be back when the Chef comes back.“Did you change the chef or the chef went vacation? If he or she does, please let me know when they came back. The broth tastes different. More salty than it used to be. Order 2 togo BBH. Missing basils and mints in my bag of vegetable. Server was polite. ““
“The food is always amazing! I don't eat pork, but my fiance does and they love the pork dishes! I love the beef and chicken dishes. Our favorites are the traditional Vietnamese egg rolls, pho ga (chicken pho), and their banh mi (sandwiches)! Their egg rolls are super addicting and their pho is so homey and delicious ?. It's really nice comfort food! The servers are super sweet and polite ?My fiance and I have tried different pho and Vietnamese places and personally this is the best place. What makes it even better is the lunch special that is from 11 am to 2 pm ! It's comfort food at a cheap price! If you haven't been here you're absolutely missing out !Parking: There are a limited amount of spots right in front since it's in a strip center. But there are tons of parking elsewhere.Kid-friendliness: They allow kids and babies, etc. They have some kid friendly dishes too. They also have some sweet music playing in the background“
“The coffee was fresh dripped out of the phin, microwaved premade like a lot of other places nowadays. It is very strong, they use double the grinds we'd use at home.Banh mi (baguette) was fresh and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, as a good Vietnamese baguette should be. The stuffing were good, except they don't have pate, as most banh mi in Bellaire would. We ordered an egg banh mi, which was not on the menu, but they made it for us the way we asked for. Both banh mi were very tasty. The place is clean, but the tables were a bit close together.Overall, everything we had was very good, and I would come again.“
“This was my first time trying this. The service was okay I called in a order guy said ten minutes wasn't ready. I think the young lady put the when I got there which is typical for some restaurants. Insurance on not wasting the food. But the food was phenomenal. You have to try there chicken spring rolls they are so good.“
“Unique purple restaurant with literally everything is in color purple (it's pretty overwhelming tbh!). Their lẩu bún mắm do taste good though and they even had bông điên điển to go with the bún mắm, which is pretty hard to find. We ordered a medium portion which kinda enough for a family of 5 (we dont usually eat a lot so that portion just feel right for us).“
“This is without a doubt the best Vietnamese restaurant I’ve visited. I’m a sucker for beef vermicelli and here the noodle are served warm, the beef is marinated to perfection, and the service is superb. The establishment is super clean and the service is immediate. If you e gone to Vietnamese restaurants and thought they were all fairly the same, you have to come and visit this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Little FYI, I travel from Katy to get to this location.Parking: Plenary of parking. The restaurant faces all the parking spaces“
“We used to dine in but there seems to be a lingering cigar/smoke smell from the places next door. Other than that, it’s very clean inside and service is efficient. Take out and delivery is just as good though. Food is very flavorful and portion sizes are great.“
“Food came out quick. Portion sizes are great. Got the combination pho and all meats were tender. Broth is clean and has the fatty taste. Noodles were soft and a generous amount. They have small, large, and x large portions. Vietnamese egg rolls were yummy. Shrimp spring rolls were just okay. Service was good. And they close pretty late too! Much better than the phos in the area.... Also almost no restaurants in the area have the option for combination pho. Drinks were okay nothing special, probably wouldn't get drinks again but will definitely come back for the food.“
“Good pho and probably one the best Vietnamese restaurants in the area. They do a lot for the local community and give back a lot. The pho image is one of their events (not the normal size) and it was so good.Everything has been great every time we come.“
“The pho, spring rolls and the shaken beef fried rice have all been amazing each time we've come to this location! Pho is usually hit or miss for me, but the beef broth pho (my go-to order) has an amazing flavor. The pork spring rolls were super yummy and much bigger than other pho places I've visited. I highly recommend this little locally owned restaurant! I'm always surprised that there aren't many people inside the restaurant when we go during lunch, but the service and food is always spot on!Vegetarian options: Meatless pho“
