The only problem was, online when I do my reservation, have a area for adding something extra you need, I ask if is possible adding 1 rose and 2 candles at the table, no only no hase it, never received a text saying can't do it.
Stumbled into Monarch after a date night at Hotel ZaZa, and it was the best accident of the evening.
The vibe was trendy but comfortable—I showed up in business casual and felt right at home. We grabbed the covered outdoor seating (with AC, which is basically a Houston miracle) and opted for couches instead of a table. Best decision ever—it felt like lounging at a friend's place, but with better food.

I celebrated my birthday dinner at the restaurant, and the staff were absolutely wonderful. Everyone was attentive, and the service, food, and drinks were outstanding. The only small disappointment was that the cake brought out for my celebration didn't have any candles, even though I had requested them when making my reservation. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. Thank you for a great experience.
