“Came to try the pizza and was totally blown away by all of the food!!! The pane was delicious and light seasoned perfectly. The ricotta appetizer was delicious but very heavy on onions. So be aware. The special pizza of r here evening was calabrese and was really good. Nice Napoli fold on the crust! Good sauce that wasn’t too sweet. Desserts were great!! Almond biscotti was amazing!! Latte was a really good coffee!! Amour server was delightful and very attentive. We felt right at home and no rushed at all. Will be back! The menu has so many items we want to try!“

“I have been to Anvil many times but always on a Sunday or Monday, but never been there on a Saturday, and let me tell you that it is a different animal on Saturdays ..... much much busier of course, but the age group changes completely ..... half of the folks there are around 25 if not younger .... while on Sundays or Mondays it is a different cup of tea all together.“

I am often critical of native food overseas. “If I could rate HIGHER than 5, I MOST definitely would. I visited Padre's Wine Shop for my 55th Birthday and couldn't ask for a better birthday experience.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The customer service and ambiance were superb.

The food was simply delicious (the Baked Oysters, pretzels, Wagyu Denver Steak, and popcorn must-tries), and my wines were wonderfully crispy and refreshing (I'm joining the wine club).

“I recently visited Neighbors Restaurant in Houston and had a mixed experience. The pizza was definitely tasty – the flavors were great and the crust was perfectly cooked. However, the service was incredibly slow, especially considering the pizza is potentially prepped in advance and shouldn’t take long to bring out. It was a bit frustrating waiting much longer than expected for a dish that seemed ready to serve.

While the food itself was good, the wait time definitely impacted the overall experience. I’d still consider coming back, but I hope the service speeds up next time.“

“I really enjoyed a gathering of the houston symphony league wine society at the vine memorial. I was delighted to be introduced to this local spot and found it comfortable, warm and inviting. The staff was lovely and attentive.“

“LFM - Local Foods Market is a laid back place to get wines, pantry goods, and quick bites.

I went here to stock up on my Mama Teav’s Hot Garlic sauce. They have a lot of unique wines, spreads, dressings, and more!

The popular Graza Olive Oil ($13) seen all over Instagram food blogger pages and internet recipes is sold here, and it is reasonably priced and more affordable than HEB ($19)! They also have local goods here, such as chocolates from Mostly Chocolate, a Houston confectionery and chocolatier. Definitely stock up on your olive oil and other pantry goods here.

We also had their chocolate chip cookie; it was not too overly sweet, which I personally like, and had mini chocolate chips.

The staff were super friendly and parking was not too bad.

Overall, I really liked the different snack and condiment selections; they had a lot of cool things to try for recipes at home.“

We came here because it was close to our hotel and we had such an amazing experience that we did something we NEVER do…….. we came back for the second night rather than checking out a different restaurant. “It is certainly not a large posh place but somewhere you may feel comfortable however you dress and whether or not you know anyone. The owner and bar keeper are like family and served bbq shrimp on the counter for customers. I attended a memorial for an actor and it was just right. If it bothers you that the ceiling was leaking into a bucket this may not be your place but, for me and the others, no body seemed to notice.“

Despite the circumstances, the experience turned out to be delightful. We waited briefly for a table, and the manager, Patrick, personally seated us, apologizing for the short staff due to the weather. Our server promptly took our order, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food—it exceeded our expectations. The waitress was exceptionally friendly, and Patrick went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

“We love the food at Bravery Hall. Everything we’ve tried has been delicious. Drunken Pho is a favorite and Bhan Bhan Thai is also a win. With that said, the bar in the main dining area is disappointing….be ready to wait, be ignored, wait some more, and pay more than you should.“

“This place has Houston Haze IPA on tap. If you're into the H-town craft beer scene and dig IPAs (like basically every beer bro on the planet) then you've likely heard of Spindle Tap brewery and know Houston Haze (if not, check it out, HEB has it in cans in the Houston area). Man this stuff is dank on draft, it's so Hazy that you can watch it swim around in the glass like the nitrogen settling in a Guinness. I discovered it about 20 min before boarding and had a couple big ones. Pounded, not regretted!! Keep that stuff on tap and I'll stop by everytime in terminal D. Get some!“

“This place is awesome for Italian takeout. Yes, you can eat there, but they primarily service delivery and pickup orders with limited seating. The pizzas are loaded with toppings, and they definitely don't skimp on anything. Their Caesar salad is really good, especially the dressing. The Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was also really great. It's nothing fancy, but sometimes simple is exactly what you want.“

“Popped in here this past weekend to try the wings for the first time. I ordered the 12 piece with half buffalo rain and was also recommended the spicy garlic parmesan. Both flavors were really good although neither were particularly spicy. It was a good mix of drums and flats. The drums didn't clean up great, but the flats were able to be picked pretty clean. They also offered both ranch and blue cheese.

Still, the wings had really good flavor and were pretty well sized. I would definitely go back to try some other flavors. The service was really good and all of the employees I dealt with were very friendly. The vibe of the place was also pretty solid and they had some music and football games going on Sunday afternoon.

Parking: Large lot with plenty of spots“

“There are not enough great things to say about Lucio's and the owner/chef and his wife make you feel as though your are special guests in their home. The food and service is beyond compare and the attention to detail and presentation is spectacular as is the quality and taste of every dish. You can taste the love that goes into each and every dish they serve.“

“This place is simply brilliant. It was my first time here with a party of 4. Occasion was parent’s birthday. The restaurant actually gave me a call to learn more about the occasion. When we arrived there they had the table set up with a handwritten card and confetti. Food was perfection. They were very observant. They knew we didn’t drink so they surprised us with bday dessert and toast. How thoughtful. Will visit again for all our birthdays. This restaurant management is brilliant, I would say.“
