“All I can say is just go. Go and order whatever strikes your fancy, because it is all going to be insanely delicious. This meal capped off our little "day-cation" and I could have asked for more. The food is incredible. Thoughtfully prepared, incredibly inventive pairings, a super fun wine list, and some of the best panna cotta I've ever had. Just go.“
“While visiting the Houston area from North Carolina, my wife insisted we have a Texas steak given that Texas is known to be a big cattle/beef exporter and it's history. When asking around for a good place to have a non commercialized steakhouse meal, this restaurant was brought to our attention by locals and with the good reviews while not being too far away, we had to give it a try. Attire for the customers was casual to semi formal. Once in the restaurant, you are immediately submerged into a lineage of Texas history as the walls are covered with artifacts from the area. Definitely had a Texas feel to it. The staff was attentive, well dressed and spoken. For an appetizer, we had the quail and it was, in my opinion, the best part of the meal. We ordered a cowboy ribeye which was great but nothing that solidified it as the best steak ever. The salad bar was clean with fresh ingredients and was actually recommended by another couple while we were waiting, stating that if they could choose one thing there to have, it would be the salad bar. The cheese blocks definitely were noteworthy. Brussel sprouts on the side which were okay, followed up by pecan pie. The food was good but not exactly why I would say they are 5 stars. The service and decor is definitely where you spend your money. If you're visiting Texas and want a Texas steakhouse experience and your budget is not tight then I would recommend it. Seating was a little tight to navigate through but manageable. There was a 30 minute wait. The server informed us that this steakhouse in particular was the #1 selling privately owned/non commercialized steakhouse in Texas and #13 in the United States. With tip, we paid right at $200 for 1 appetizer, 1 cowboy ribeye, 1 side of brussel sprouts, 2 salads, glass of water, 1 Dr pepper, and 2 slices of pie. The servings were of good portion.“
“TLDR: The slow service impaired the dining experience, and the passive aggressive gratuity procedure degrades the image of this restaurant. We just went here for a nice family dinner. They have a good variety of food choices. The tortilla soup and cioppino were both excellent, as were the confit potatoes. The strip steak had good flavor. The seafood beignets was unique but nothing spectacular and the roasted cauliflower was just ok. As for the desserts, the blockbuster was pretty good. The carrot cake was nothing special. What really needs improvement is the service. The waiter was slow in coming for each step of the ordering process and dining experience, and we had to flag him down twice. Also, the soup i ordered arrived at the same time as my entree, instead of being brought out with the appetizers. At least the lady that filled our water was always prompt. We ended up spending 2.5 hrs there due to slow service. Then, a 20% tip was printed onto our bill. At the bottom of the check (not disclosed on the menu), it says that a “suggested gratuity” is added for all parties of 8 or more, but we only had 5 people in our party (2 adults and 3 kids). It also says, the guest has "right to determine the final amount, free from compulsion or negotiation,” yet there it is printed onto the bill, and another line labeled “Additional Tip” below. For the level of service we received, I would’ve tipped 18% max. While I certainly could have argued it, the dinner took so long i just wanted to leave. It wasn’t much extra money, but of course that is not the point, and, it left me with a negative impression of this establishment.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu“
“Some friends have come from Spain on a trip and we wanted to take advantage of the day to have a picnic in a nearby park. We ordered two family pizzas, very good and we also tried the cannoli (very very delicious!!!). Close service and very good recommendations. 100% recommended!!!“
“Food is amazing. Staff on point, professional, sharp and attentive. Wonderful music, lovely atmosphere. We like it so much, had my wedding dinner celebration yesterday. We couldn’t have chosen a better place.Managers were accommodating and made us feel welcomed.Food is authentic and cocktails so tasty.Completely recommend!“
“Our family gave Lucio’s a try after reading all of the wonderful reviews and it did not disappoint!Service: our waitress, Irina, was pleasant, warm and hospitable! She treated us with so much care.Food: we tried the crab cakes, goat cheese salad, calamari, filet mignon, rack of lamb and salmon and they were all cooked to perfection. For dessert, we tried the brioche- delicious. We truly enjoyed our experience.Drinks: we took advantage of the BYOB option and brought our own wine. Please note that this option is for wine and champagne.Ambiance: small yet spacious , intimate setting. All tables were filled with guests when we went (a Saturday night after 7pm). Lots of interesting art on the walls. I feel that the size of the restaurant added to the quality of the food. The chefs took their time making everything fresh.Wait times: although the food is cooked from scratch, we did not wait long times to get anything. The service was choreographed in a seamless manner.Parking: parking was easy- we used valet services.“
“Came here for the first time with a group of 5…and it was one of the BEST experiences. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Janice who showed us to the table. Our waiter was Felix and his menu knowledge was phenomenal. Last but not least, my group could not decide which wine to order until Tia patiently took the time to help us. The level of knowledge and expertise at this place is a 10/10. I will definitely recommend this place and come back.“
“I've been a couple of times to Oporto, and I've airways been satisfied. From the artful to the food, everything is amazing; staff is always friendly and attentive their drinks and food are amazing.Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Staff is very attentive and accommodating to any dietary restrictionsParking: Parking can be a bit tricky if you're looking for free options. I'd recommend either parking in the back garage for a cheaper alternative or just paying the valet fee and be over with it.Wheelchair accessibility: Standard accessibility.“
“We dine at Bacaro often because it is close to home and the food is consistently very good. The only issue we have is that service can be spotty; longer than expected waits between courses, multiple requests required for bread to be delivered, etc. We feel a little self-conscious when we have to "raise our hands" and call attention to ourselves when we need another beverage or want to pay our bill. We will certainly continue to be "regulars" here!“
“Really great ambiance, attentive service, cocktails, and very modestly priced Italian food. Would go back and recommend! The service had the white glove feel without the cost. For example, welcome glass of Brut, fresh shaved cheese and fresh cracked pepper for pastas, and cleansing warm towelette at the end.“
“First trip to MB. Alex our waiter was wonderful!!! We were ther for brunch!!! Started with Bruschetta and both had two different versions of eggs Benedict! And ... frozen Bellinis!!! Everything was excellent from beginning to end!!! We will return!“
“Tried the Dream Catcher and Margarita pizzas at Gypsy Poet—both delicious! Friendly staff, speedy service, and lively ambiance with great music. Parking is on the street which is not too hard to find. A delightful pizza experience overall.“
“This place is such a vibe! Tucked away upstairs in the local food mart it’s a quaint, cozy wine bar with great food and a lot of stellar wines! I reserved the semi-private area which is encased in their wine cellar. The sommelier recommended some of the tastiest wines I had the pleasure to taste in a while. We pretty much ordered everything off the menu. The king ora salmon and yellow tail sashimi were delicious. We also ordered the chicken yakitori and snapper collar which were tasty. The kimchi pancakes had good flavor but were a bit greasy and too soft, instead of having those great crispy edges! The Lamb chops were the star here they had so much flavor and were perfectly cooked and tender. The mac and cheese was interesting as rice cakes were used in place of noodles. I loved the chewiness contrasted with the crispness of the cheese. The Garden party was also beautifully presented with really nice and tasty offerings. My only regret is not taking pics as we were all so excited about the food and hungry we literally dove right in. The desserts were a must as well. The sorbet was refreshing, tangy and delicious and the butter cake topped with matcha ice cream was a winner. I am not a fan of matcha as for me it can be a bit strong and bitter. But this was delicate and the flavor well balanced and not overpowering. They even let us try a new brownie dessert that I’m sure will be a hit! The service was top notch and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. I can’t wait to bring more friends here to try it out and next time I’ll take pics! ?“
“Friendly attentive staff, delicious food, and incredible atmosphere. We ordered the Sarma which was hearty and delicious beef and rice cooked in a delicate tomato sauce. Don’t leave without ordering the beef, cheese, or spinach Burek. We will definitely be returning soon!“
“Nice scene...but Definitely could be better (go back to the post covid structure). Brix would make a pretty profit if they offered Brunch and be a select few offering brunch in the Vintage that would allow them to stand out. I would like to thank David, the bartender tonight who made me a 007 (Double 07: James Bond signature: dirty martini, shaken and not stirred ). Perfection! I also wanted to recognize his participatory Crew that chimed in on our conversation when they overheard me ask about a brilliantly erected wine out of Napa, ironically named Quintessa--Which is my middle name. Thank you, David, Ruben, Matt, and Logan; you all worked together to educate me, which was appreciated. However, I have feedback on the pizza. I bought one Pepperoni and one Fig and Pig Pizza. The crust on these pizzas was Amazing due to the crispness of the crust. The lack of a finale with a stoke of butter, a hit of EVOO, and Fresh garlic was disappointing and barely there sauce with lack of proportional pepperoni piecs per slice...come on. In other words, the crust needed flavor, too, especially because your crust is a genuine brick oven-slayed pizza crust, so don't go Domino's on us. Season that thing! I need you all to stick to the description of your pizza on the menu and don't be stingy. I had to ask the lady to get the kitchen to add more arugula. She brought my pizza back to me, looking the same way; it barely had arugula and dressing. I don't want to pay $15 for a good specialty pizza and then have to go home and Doctor it up to make it a great pizza in line with your description of what I was buying on Your menu. Lastly, the side of pizza sauce tasted like Bertolli Vodka Pasta Sauce but I'm not mad because I like Bertolli Vodka Pasta Sauce but it's not a side of pizza marinara. Other than that, I still recommend Brix to loosen you and your party up with wine, spirits, bites and a pretentious atmosphere with a really down to earth staff with reasonable prices.“
“We have been coming to Gratify for years, always amazing food, drinks, service and vibes! But Stephanie Benitez truly made our experience with the Big Vibe Group memorable! We spoke with her over my birthday brunch and she was so informative, welcoming and sweet! I told her about my family birthday dinner at Coppa Osteria the next night and she ensured she would see us over there as well. She made sure we got everything we wanted, and even hand delivered my short rib ragu pasta from next door!! The customer service and experience is always amazing and she made my birthday dinner special!“
“This was my first experience at this location and I’m so happy to have chosen this spot for dinner, my girlfriends & I were greeted by the sweet hostess’s and taken to the bar where we were served by Claudia Fernandez. My girlfriends & I came for steak & cocktails, Claudia was super attentive and always attended to our needs, she was also so bubbly and made us feel so comfortable and enjoyed our food & drinks made by her. Thank you for the espresso martinis & all the cocktails! I will be coming back and mentioning her for our next dinner “
“Stella's Wine Bar was fabulous! We both had Pinot Noir wine flights and shared a large board. The board portions were huge! 2 ounces of meat for each choice! The House Made Duck Rillette was awesome! I was surprised I liked it so much! The service by Brenda was wonderful and she was so knowledgeable (we asked a million questions)! Definitely check out Stella's!“
“One of our fav places in Houston. Central to Montrose, the service, flavors, and atmosphere are always excellent. We love the flash fried cauliflower and various bruschetta. They have tons of vegetarian options, good drinks including a few non-alcoholic options for adults. The patio has always been comfortable, even when it's Houston-hot - I'm not sure if I've ever eaten inside in 12+ visits.“
“Sat on the patio on a Thursday evening. Service was good, although sometimes slow. We ordered a bottle of wine and food. The food all came out before the wine which was not ideal. The servers allowed us to sample a few wines before settling on a bottle which was nice. Charcuterie board was nothing special. I don’t think they go out of their way to find the highest quality meats. For dinner I had a half panini and half salad. Both were seasonal specials and were really good. The meatballs were decent. Monday and Tuesday board and bottle night for $25 is the best deal. Other than that it’s a happening patio but the food isn’t anything worth coming for.“
“First time in this place yesterday, and I'm sorry I waited so long to check it out. I really like the atmosphere/environment -- it's beautiful inside! Definitely classier than the dive bars that I frequent, so I was shocked when the bartender told me about the $2.50 Karbach special that they were running. I was only in there for one beer and an inning or two of baseball, but during that time the owner managed to come over and introduce himself. Chayn is a very affable and humble man...I wish every success for he and his team and look forward to going back soon!“
“We tried Postino Uptown Park for the first time today for lunch. The food was amazing..but our server Bri was truly amazing!!!! We will definitely be back … BTW they’re working on their liquor license if beer and wine is not your thing.“
“I love Slowpokes, the Spring Branch location has my heart. The vibes here are immaculate and the staff are extremely friendly. A few of note are L, Irlanda, and David. They’ve always greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome. Also, the food is delicious! The sweet staff in the back always put together such yummy bites. I can’t rave enough about this place and always recommend it to my friends. I quickly became a regular here and I’ll be so sad if I ever have to move away!“
“Some of the best wings in Houston! Definitely worth a visit. They offer 32 flavors, have other menu options if you're not into wings, and the Kool-Aid is good.I visited around 8pm and the food was cooked fresh and the service was great. Highly recommend giving them a try.“
“I have been to this place twice in the last month, once as a speaker and second time as a guest with three other professional colleagues. The place is great, especially for talks and presentations, the A/V setup is very professional, you can cutoff the overhead music, and do very impressive screen projections . The waiters and waitresses are excellent friendly folks and provide great service .“
“An excellent Italian restaurant experience. This is a true culinary hidden gem. The food here is exceptional including the pasta and pizza. The sea food appetizers are delicious and salads are well balanced. They have an excellent wine selection and will let you taste some samples before you pick the perfect bottle. For dessert I recommend the tiramisu, classic but with delicious. And the best part? Despite the high quality of food and service, prices here are refreshingly affordable compared to similar places.“
“We decided to try Lynn’s since it was up the road from us, and hadn’t tried it before. We were celebrating our 3 yr anniversary! I made a reservation for a Tuesday evening, and our experience was beyond anything we could have imagined. The staff was incredibly welcoming, surprised us with champagne, and a delicious dessert at the end of our meal, and even a sweet card signed by the entire staff. Aside from that incredible experience, the food was DIVINE. Everything we ate was INCREDIBLE. From the lobster bisque, to the filets, a delectable blue cheese sauce, and the bacon lyonnaise potatoes and parmesan brussel sprouts. Everything was absolutely amazing, and the ambiance was beautiful. We had such an amazing time, and will certainly be back. Thank you Lynn’s Steakhouse!“
“Thomas & Zach were knowledgeable, conversational and friendly! They helped me navigate the extensive menu with ease. The food is fresh and the menu is exciting. Great place to relax and have conversations with friends or a date! The s’mores board is a fun icebreaker for dates and fun desert for friends!“
“I was so happy to have an all purpose cafe within walking distance -- I really wanted to love this place for an occasional spot for happy hour and catching up with phone calls. At 5:30 pm, however, the seating was filled with HS students. Great to see a place for them to hang, but I'm sure I was crushing their vibe-- I still double space at end of sentence... lol. . . I did enjoy my Chardonnay, pretzel, and teams get together regardless.“
“Stopped by on a Sunday morning stroll when it was pretty empty and decided to grab a quick lunch. The food was amazing (can’t say much about the wine because I am pregnant but I definitely will be back for that later). The staff was amazing. They accommodated some cheese selections for my toddler and the entire atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. The patio gave me Marbella, Spain vibes. My husband and I will most definitely be back. Highly recommend!“
“I really wanted to give 5 stars but i couldn’t because i had to ask 3 different times about something i ordered. The third time i had to go inside and ask about my order, as i was sitting in the patio. I don’t know where the mix up happened but apparently it was never put in. Everything else was great, my friend and i really enjoyed our time here and the wine.“
“Great spot! Good quality and quantity of food for the price! We got the burrata, avocado toast, a cortado, and ice match latte. The flavor of both was fantastic and surprisingly deep for a coffee shop.It was so good we didn’t even take pics, and I forgot about my cortado for a sec.The only down side is there no soy milk for the matcha latte. Still recommend 10/10Parking: Shared parking with other businesses but easy enough to find“
“Everything was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. I had the Sicilian Cosmopolitan, salmone pistachio, and Italian cream cake. The food and drink were very tasty. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner.“
“Got a choice of 4 bruschettas for a mix of flavors. Previously, I ordered an Italian Beef Dip which was huge! I brought half of it home.Service was friendly and attentive both times.I plan on visiting again.Parking: There is a parking garage, but you can get a voucher from the restaurant.“
“Went on a Saturday afternoon food was great! Even my very ,very, very, very, picky eater loved it! He will only eat about 4 different things. They had none of those on the menu. We still decided to go and see if we might be able to get him to at least try something. He did, and he loved it.“
“We have lived in northside for a couple of years; we now regret having waited so long to try Rocco's. It was delightful. The porch was pleasant, the bathrooms were clean, and, most importantly, the food was tasty. Our son enjoyed the kids pizza (it's big) and we tried two pasta dishes. The tiramisu was a delight too. We'll go back.Kid-friendliness: They do not have a kids menu but do have kid meal options. They were friendly and seemed genuinely happy we were there as a family.“
“Very cute place! I love the fresh organic food that is easily accommodating to allergies, like gluten and dairy, the clean vibes inside and relaxed outdoor patio. Good space for the kids to run around. The patio has accessible ordering remotely from your tables with quick service. I enjoyed their mocktails, but they have tasty looking cocktails as well! Will definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten, dairy, and other accommodations, with all of the taste!“
“I have been to every place in Houston that sells pizza that’s worth going to and this one has the best pizza hands down. The dough is fantastic, crispy and chewy. Sauce is tangy and robust. Nice ratio of cheese. Very impressed as I wasn’t expecting it be so good. Definitely a hidden gem in the East End.“
“My partner and I wandered into this place while walking the dogs. We've now made it our regular spot. They are so kind with the dogs. It feels like they are hosting them as well! They bring them a dog bowl with ice water and a huge dog treat. I got to know Shannon today after seeing her several times, and I can't wait to spend so much more time there. It's a great spot off the beaten path of white oak and it may be my favorite my place to stop in from now on. Here's to many more random visits!“
“Events, tastings, education, and wine buying for my home fridge! Vin Santo has a well informed staff and vast selection from all over the world. Frequent flyer here, and it never disappoints! I love the ever rotating selection of sparkling wine. Also, the value by the glass and bottle is great!“
“I wish I had taken pictures of the food! The owner and staff of this place are obviously super passionate about their food and service. Each person that took care of us was very knowledgeable about the menu and were quick with helpful and informed advice on wine pairings and other details. This is common enough in many high-performance restaurants, but what isn't, is that they returned afterwards to ask our opinion and make sure their recommendations hit the mark.We started with the charcuterie board, which was very thoughtfully put together and accented by excellent house-made pickles and preserves and mustard. We followed that with the Cataplana Mussels, which my wife absolutely ADORED, and Le Cochon ("the pig") which was probably some of the best pork I have ever eaten (and anyone who knows me will tell you that this is high praise from me!)It was a very busy Saturday night, and the kitchen was short-staffed. The manager and each of our servers made sure to mention this and apologize for it.Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience and I am looking forward to going again and taking friends!“
“Wow, what an incredible dining experience! The atmosphere at Genesis Kosher Steakhouse was warm and inviting, with exceptional service from start to finish. But the real star of the show was the food - every bite was tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The kosher certification only adds to the peace of mind, knowing that the highest standards are being upheld. My steak was cooked to perfection, and the sides were creative and delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! If you're looking for a top-notch kosher dining experience, look no further than Genesis Kosher Steakhouse. 5/5 stars, hands down!“
“Roasted boar with plum sauce, sauteed carrots and broccoli. I would have loved a little more plum sauce. It was so good. And of course to begin: escargot and French onion soup. Oh, and a very fair priced Cotes de Rhone wine. All things French on our 46th anniversary. I should have taken pictures, sorry. We were looking for something French and cuisine we don't prepare at home. BLC did not disappoint. The restaurant has been in business for over 30 years. My only suggestion is to update the interior just a little bit. Keep the Italian feel, maybe darken the ceiling tiles. Don't go contemporary. Just a suggestion. . My wife had the chicken and potatoes in a broth. The 2 bites she allowed me, were succulent, wonderfully flavorful, and definitely something unique to our culinary experiences. We'll be back.Kid-friendliness: I would say noisy kids might degrade the adult atmosphere.“
“Food was delicious. The Tex-queño with cilantro sauce was delicious and left us wanting more. Mussels were very fresh, chorizo carbonara was an interesting twist and very tasty. We had a couple of Old Fashioned drinks that were very good too. We will definitely come back!“
“These are true magicians of spirits of grape and grain. A semi-cool afternoon and I just wanted a holiday whiskey drink. My wife wanted a refreshing drink herself. These guys delivered better than FedEx. My wife didn't like her initial drink so they took it back and made her a custom cocktail with her favorite spirit. She had 2 more and I had to drive home, of course. The firepits added to a perfect Autumn Saturday afternoon.“

“This is Mediterranean style fare with great steaks. It is a laidback pace and the food is seasoned but not Texas hot.Our waiter was great his assistants were constantly refillng our water and busing amd cleaning the table.Get the cutting board to share your entrees and enjoy the flaming bone marrow!“
“Kid-friendliness: One time I went in, there was a baby walking around....made some noise. No one really seemed to mind, which I really liked. The baby wasn't bothering anyone, was just being a kid. They also allow dogs, and have dog treats to give to the dogs. I thought that was pretty cool! DO NOT bring outside food IN. By the time I was about to be finished with my food, I found out that's fround upon. The drinks are a decent price, still a little on the high end. Desserts too. Also, I'm cheap.........so do with that what you will. ?“
“We enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner at Eugene's. The food (stuffed redfish! amazing yams!) and service were outstanding; our server Joseph and the rest of the team took great care of us. The restaurant is attractive, and we were able to enjoy our conversation without having to shout at one another. Thank you for a special evening!“
“Anvil is, without a doubt, my favorite cocktail bar. And that's not just within Houston. The consistent quality of their cocktails is simply unrivaled. They have a rotating selection of featured cocktails, but half the time I order from their list of 100 classics because they craft them to near-perfection (sometimes perfection, if I'm being honest). Yesterday, I tried a new one containing shōchū, reposado tequila, and black sesame... my adjectives wouldn't do justice to the simple elegance and brilliance of that cocktail. They don't offer happy hour nor outdoor seating. There are probably ~15-20 seats at the bar and then 8-12 booths along the windows, each of which fits 4-5 people. The bartenders are always amazing, their knowledge of the craft is impressive. At the end of the day, Anvil isn't trying to rope you in with trendy fads nor great deals. But I suspect you'll be back for a return visit, because they're serving the highest-quality cocktails in town“
