“#JoeFoodTour do not be surprised by the outside appearance. This food is authentic and super yummy. Also, they are true to their Thai spice so if you think you can handle heat, I’d recommend mild or because the spice level is incredible. #HowdyFromHouston #ThePropertyJoes #“
“Small, simple eatery serving Laotian and Thai food that’s pretty authentic. Portions are generous and the food is served fast by friendly staff. We ordered the Nam Khao crispy fried rice seasoned with curry paste. We swapped out the pork for tofu. Really enjoyed this dish. We tried the papaya salad, something we would eat almost daily during our visits to Thailand. It was OK but there was something about the seasoning that I didn’t like. My wife enjoyed it, though. Finally, we tried the Mushroom Laab, which had a nice minty flavor. I would definitely go back to the Sai Lao Thai Cafe.“
“Quiet, clean, mellow atmosphere, attentive service, not too pricey, and incredible food. Best Thai restaurant I’ve been to stateside, this place is a gem, and they can leave the gluten out of your meal too.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options for many items on the menu“
“I have lived in Thailand for a few years. I will say that this is the most authentic Thai place I've been to in the US outside of California. Tried the "Thai hot" level of spice in my panang curry. It's that eye watering, nose dripping kind of spice level so proceed with caution. The decor is also beautiful and cozy. No complaints about the service. The prices are very reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend this place.“
“The food is excellent if you stick to what you know that you’ll like. My wife loves Brussels sprouts and Bangkok Social has some of the best you’ll ever find. Their spin on the Pad Thai is creative, I didn’t think I’d like it but it’s now my favorite pad Thai in town. Their level 4 “hot” is really good, especially if you like spicy food but don’t want to sweat while eating it. I tried a couple of new things to me, the first being the Mango Mint Lemonade which was the best thirst quencher I could’ve asked for. The other new thing that I tried was the Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp and Peanuts…. Hated it, but I do think their basic chicken fried rice is sufficient going forward. The House Special Chicken is a solid option if you’re unsure of what to try. Overall, I really like this place and would recommend it to anyone. It’s very clean and the team is nice. Two thumbs up!“
“The location is perfect, offering a peaceful refuge from the bustle outside. Whether you are dining indoors or relaxing on the patio outside, you will appreciate the attention to detail that has gone into every aspect of this friendly establishment.“
“I am so happy to have found this little hole in the wall Thai restaurant close to me. I had takeout fried rice and papaya salad and they were so delicious! My spice level is 2 and it's perfect because I get to enjoy the flavors without suffering the consequences. Food is fresh the owner is friendly their menu is small but the portions are HUGE.“

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving a memorable meal, Lao’d District Restaurant delivers an unparalleled combination of good food, inviting ambiance, and top-notch service.I highly recommend you give it a try and experience for yourself! I will definitely be back the next time I come to town!“
“After passing it by a few times, I stopped for lunch at Pranee's Thai at 8100 Hwy 6 N Suite C, Houston, TX 77095So glad I did. I had the Pra Kra-Pao (Thai Basil, chicken, green beans, bell pepper in a yummy sauce) served with a fried egg on top and a side of white rice. Absolutely delicious. The service was great. Prices are reasonable. Can't wait to go back and try something else.“
“The place to go if you want really spicy food in a cool upbeat atmosphere! I’d you can’t handle spice, not for you since the mild is also hot for spice lovers! Love the concept and service. Highly recommend the kanom jib, corn fritters and green curry and drunken noodles. Wasn’t a fan of the crispy pork belly despite it being the menu highlight - was expecting soft fatty pork belly but it was instead quite chewy and crispy which threw us off. Will definitely be back.“
“I was in town for work and stopped in for dinner. I and a family were the only ones eating here which is crazy because this place should be packed. I’ve eaten at high places and food wasn’t half as good and twice as much. If you live here , show up.“
“You know food is gonna be good when you see the bars on the windows! Great thai food. tons of options, very casual but with fantastic flavor. loved everything I tried but most of all the khao soi gai (coconut based creamy spicy soup with chicken and noodles) (I've never had it before so it was super new and unique. The tilapia was also a standout. maybe my only complaint is that the Thai Tea was slightly too sweet.“
“Ever since this place took over for new management, it is so much better. I ain’t here over a decade before and it was very bland. I got to meet the owner Johnny and he was super sweet and only that the food was delicious. You have to try the Pad Thai noodles and chicken egg rolls“
“I love this restaurant. I've been a customer since they established the location on Barker Cypress. The food taste is like no other Thai restaurant and the owners are awesome. I've tried other Thai restaurants but no other compares to Thai Curry. I will forever be a loyal customer.“
“I got the Yellow Curry, and it was delicious. Not too sweet and the right flavors in a large bowl. Came with a huge serving of rice to soak up all the sauce and flavor. I’m visiting from a small town in Az, and I’m always looking for a good Thai restaurant. This one hit the mark.“
“Some of the best pad Thai I’ve had! I got it Thai spicy and it did not disappoint, my mouth was watering ?. When I went back again I got it medium spicy and it was just as good. The crab Rangoon’s were so cute and not greasy. Thai tea was perfect. Service was really good too. I’m not sure why it wasn’t busy both times I went. They deserve to be packed. 10/10“
“I came to Cafe Kottu with some friends for a birthday dinner. It was on a weekday. There weren't many customers. It took a while for food to arrive. I think they were short staffed. I didn't have time to stay to enjoy the restaurant. I had to go back to work. Maybe next time when I am in the area to try other dishes.“
“Very delicious food. I ordered the Red Curry and Lao Sausage. The curry was very yummy and the spice level is great. The sausage is very good as well. I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu. Also, the green tea is very refreshing.“
“Bananas Thai Cruise is a hidden gem. A must try!! The egge rolls were like my Mom's....delicious.The flavors were amazing, huge portion sizes, very reasonable prices, and great customer service. I don't think I left anything out.“
“I recently dined at Nua Thai and decided to try the level 4 spice in my order. The Eggplant Basil dish was a standout, with perfectly cooked eggplant and aromatic basil complemented by a flavorful sauce. The level 4 spice added just the right amount of heat, enhancing the dish without overwhelming it. Fresh ingredients and generous portions made the meal enjoyable. The ambiance was welcoming, and the overall experience was positive. I recommend trying Nua Thai's level 4 spice for a deliciously spicy Thai dining experience.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available.“
“The staff was friendly and the food was honestly VERY good, was not expecting this small restaurant to serve sushi like that and the plating was super cute! We loved our experience and hate that we live so far and only found this place simply passing through.“
“Saw this on Instagram and went with family to check it out. Incredible ambiance and display of food. The food tastes great (nothing to die for) but we loved the presentation of the dishes, deserts and cocktails. It was nice that they had small boards for special occassion writings. Highly recommended to try at least once!“
“Always heard of this restaurant but never been. I've been to Thailand and I'm not sure they serve 100% authentic dishes here.I wanted something light and on the healthier side. Ordered the crispy duck salad and it was pretty good. Rating: 4.5/5My friend liked the entree and dessert she ordered.Service was very good. Our waiter checked on us multiple times. She was polite, warm, and professional. The atmosphere is nice. Uniquely decorated with a upscale vibe. There's also a bar with seating and outdoor seating.I'll have to come back and try more dishes.Parking: You might have difficulty finding free parking on a Saturday afternoon where there are no signs. But there's valet parking for $8“
“This is my Taco Tuesday spot. I frequent it so much on Tuesdays, you'd think I live in the neighborhood. Food is always delicious. Really laid back, good music, nice vibe. The drinks pack a punch; they're not stingy with the alcohol. Plus, the patio is fantastic—dog-friendly, equipped with fans, and ample seating. This is my absolute favorite taco place in all of Houston.“
“Haven’t been for a few years. Food was very good. Not much atmosphere as we were the only ones eating in, there were a lot of take outs! Very small and intimate restaurant. The food is the most authentic Thai I have had here in Houston.Parking: Limited number of spots but still more spots than seats in the restaurant, well almost!“
“This is your typical strip center restaurant from the outside, but don’t miss this one! The food is outstanding! I had the Ka Pao Basil entree and a bowl of Tom Kha Gai soup and they were both excellent choices! My wife had the Spicy Ginger entree along with the same soup and she loved it. We got a 2 on the spicy scale, and it was pretty spicy for us but we couldn’t put our spoons down. It was sooo good! Give this place a try, service was also excellent.“
“Came here last night for dinner with a friend. I ordered the pad woon sen. It was okay. It had a red sauce on it that I’m not familiar with having in this dish, but it was okay. My friend had the green curry, which she enjoyed. Their robot waiter and checkout at the table is to be commended.“
“The food is good. Waiting time is about 10 minutes for 3 dishes. It's acceptable. I don't like the table and chairs there. They're so close to each other. The space shares the common ground of the Hong Kong market. It prevents your privacy. The food is contained in boxes except the soups. I think I will not come back unless I need convenience when I am shopping in the Hong Kong market. The price is a little bit high in comparison with the service I received, but it's acceptable. You should come and try once.“
“I came here for dinner and from the start it was exceptional service. Our waiter was Jay and he made us feel like our business truly matter. He was attentive, kind, and very helpful. The food was great and you could tell everything was made with fresh ingredients. My husband is in a wheelchair and the tables were a great height. There was a slight ledge to get in and Jay actually got hands on and helped him into and out of the restaurant. This is the type of business that you should go out of your way to support. I will definitely be coming back!Wheelchair accessibility: Slight ledge going into the restaurant but all wheelchairs should be just fine with a little bit of help. Tables were a good height and fit a standard manual wheelchair.“
“We ordered take out and it was ready almost exactly when I walked in during dinner hours. I had a change to my order and it wasn’t an issue at all. They CRAM your takeout tupperware with the food. My wife and I couldn’t finish everything. And it was freaking amazing! I can’t say enough about this place. It impressed my work colleagues last week and now my wife. 5 stars is in anyone’s book.“
“very nice atmosphere and cozy place. The service is amazing! When I walked in I was greeted by Nory and impressed with her service and attention to details. She answered all questions about the menu and recommended some great dishes such as Happy Family, Viet Sping Rolls and Tiger Cried. The food was exceptional as well. Will definitely come back in the future!“
“I've lived in the area more than 30 years and this hidden jewel is still my favorite restaurant. The chef, Pim, makes delicious, authentic Thai dishes, may she live long and prosper.bVegetarian options: Good tofu, fried up nice and firm. When battered, even better, especially fried ginger tofu.“
“I'm a bit ashamed it's taken me so long to write a review of this place. In our area, good Thai food is hard to find. However, you'll always find it here. The owner is incredible personable and charming. He even cooks and waits on the restaurant himself personally. The true epitome of small business located here. I've never had a dish that I disliked. Please come visit as soon as you can!“
“When we went, it was completely empty but we don't understand why! The servers were kind, and the food was absolutely delicious! The Thai dumpling filling was amazing, the tom yum soup was flavorful, and the phó had a unique sweetness and was wonderful!“
“Very happy found a good Thai spot in Houston. Ik not a big fan of fish sauce and this place is perfect as they do not add it to most options. Everything was perfect, food service and atmosphere. Thank you.Vegetarian options: They do not add fish sauce if you request and it works out perfectly for vegetarians. Must try Thai food place in Houston.“
“There's always bn seating when I come here and the food is Lovely. My favs are Pork/Chicken Krapraw, Por Pai (pork ans shrimp egg rolls) and Wings Zab (medium spicy). Down fall is the language barrier. I become frustrated to order ? esp. over the phone or when "hangry". I get over it when the food arrives! “
“We really liked it. Food came out fast and hot. Samosas were good, they have a good happy hour special on most of their appetizers from what I saw. Almost got some free sake ;) our waitress was really cool. I would say we took home a meal worth of leftovers each.“
“I had the pleasure of experiencing a 60-minute Thai massage at Thai House Massage, and it was absolutely exceptional. This was my second visit to this establishment, and once again, they exceeded my expectations.Pattie, or I hope I got her name right, was my massage therapist, and she was incredible. She, along with her colleague, made me feel extremely welcome and comfortable from the moment I walked in. The service was top-notch.The massage itself was a perfect blend of relaxation and invigoration. The stretching techniques were exactly what I needed, especially after a long day at my sedentary job. I left Thai House Massage feeling relaxed, refreshed, and truly soothed. If you're looking for an outstanding Thai massage experience, Thai House Massage is the place to go. I can't recommend them enough!“
“Clean establishment, the staff is always friendly, I love how family oriented they are there too. You can tell they cook their food with LOVE and PRIDE. And you always get MORE than what you actually paid for. They pack their plates. I love this restaurant. I definitely DO recommend to ALL.“
“Bradley loves noodles, so we thought we'd try the pad see ew. He loved it, but I thought it was a bit on the salty side. There was a good mix of veggies though, and the service was super fast. The fried ice cream was pricey but delicious as well.“
“I can say a lot about this place. Went during lunch. Staff was very kind. The place was CLEAN. Beautiful decorations.Food.Food was so fresh & hot & the flavor was just perfect. Literally the only thing my coworker & I noticed was that although the style of the forks are beautiful (long gold) they made our hands hurt. So, don't hold the fork towards the end like you would with a regular fork & you'll probably be fine. This is a place I've been wanting to return to ever since.Parking: There's a lot of parking spots but it's in a shopping center / strip so there weren't a ton of open spots. I did get a spot nearby though.“
