“Ventured outside my comfort zip code zone ? and I’m so glad I did! This restaurant was fantastic! Food was very flavorful and presented so clean…no frills just delicious meat, grilled veggies and oh my they’re roasted potatoes yummy ?. We went with a group of 7 and we all had something different and shared…Milanese was juicy, steaks were cooked to perfection, and pasta was tasty. Went on a Saturday and they had a gentleman singing and he was pretty good. Great ambiance.“
“I haven't been here since they first opened, and I was welcomed with a delicious ceviche that made me smile like I did during elementary on pizza day. The caffè Americano with a caramel to drop in for taste was exquisite ?Update : awesome, yet again. I shall return “
“No nuts in the coffee!I met a friend here and it was pretty full on a Sunday afternoon. There's seating indoors and a larger area in the back. You order and pick up at the counter. I had to park on a nearby street.Lovely, flavorful coffee at a reasonable price WITH a free refill? Perfect for catching up with a friend or a first date. It's a great spot that I'd definitely return to.“
“After closing the Katy location, made the drive to Houston location and was not disappointed. It had been a years since my last Marini Empanada and realized what I have been missing. Between the savory and desert empanadas not a single bite was a disappointment. The sauces that came were fresh and complimented the empanadas. The drive was worth and look forward to my next visit.“
“First and foremost, the food was amazing. There was a slight language barrier which I actually enjoy because that probably means I am getting something authentic which is exactly what I was looking for. The seats were pretty small with a top sitting space equivalent to a kindergarten desk chair. The bathroom was in the back of an attached bar room down a long hallway that didn't exactly feel safe. When going to the bathroom and navigating through the bar, I passed by employees who didn't acknowledge me with a smile, nod, or even step to the side to let me through. I ordered the street tacos with a sampling of each meat and tried multiple salsas. The portions were small but very tasty. They offer your standard jauritos drinks but I ordered a fresh made pineapple juice which was delicious. The main restaurant interior was designed to imitate the streets, colors, and style of Mexico. Pretty neat. If you're looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine in the city, give it a try.“
“After church we were hungry! And Imelda explained the menu. we are stuffed and the meats were really juicy and the sauce were spicy.. good spicy! I ate breakfast tacos (2) and I could not even finished them and my husband ate (5) taquitos, one of each meat and my little one a big azada taco. And the fresh waters !“
“Tonight was my first time to try Pollo Campero. I ordered the 3 piece meal with Mac & cheese. Let me just tell you that chicken was the absolute best chicken I have ever eaten in my entire life! That goes for the Mac & cheese too, best ever! I will be going to Pollo Campero often from now on!Don't get this place mixed up with Pollo Reggio, definitely 10 times better than that place!“
“Wow amazing food, and really tasty ! I’m amaze of how good people treat you here, I’m for ever proud of the time and effort the employees here at pollo campero make it’s really wonderful see everyone play a role of family and building relationships.“
“At Mamajuana in downtown Houston, the food's alright—nothing to rave about, but it'll do. The DJ brings the vibe, and they even busted out sparklers and danced for my birthday bash, which was a blast. The speak easy's a cool addition, but it's not the spot for deep chats ‘cause it gets pretty loud. People were more into chatting than dancing, but it was still a good time. If you're up for a lively night out, Mamajuana's got you covered!“
“If you want to eat a good exquisite Argentine barbecue, I recommend this place, it is very traditional, the service is excellent, even attended by its own owners, the entire menu is really very good, I recommend the empanadas, I am super pleased to have discovered this very cozy and good restaurant. service“
“Best place in Houston TX to share and spend an unforgettable day with good vibes, the mariachi is very talented and the work team is very professional and friendly. We ate a dish called “Mar y Tierra” and a lobster cream, all exquisite ,100% “
“We went for the lunch and I got the 3 course meal with the calamari strips, steak and eggs and creme brûlée. I also tried my friend's panna cotta. I liked the steak the best out of all the entrees but I think it's variable because my friend also got the steak but it was not cooked as well. I also really enjoyed the panna cotta and the creme brûlée. The service was a but slow but everyone was nice and explained the menu to us.“
“I've been wanting to stop by here for some time and they did not disappoint! You order at the counter, receive a number, and have a seat while they prepare your order. Service was fast and the food was delicious. We had the empanada flight...All of them were great! We had the oxtails with sweet potatoes and greens. The oxtails were very well seasoned and super tender. The greens and sweet potatoes remind you of those an old country grandmother would make for Sunday dinner. We also got the grilled fish and shrimp. It was tasty , too, but the oxtails were definitely my favorite. We've already been back and I'm sure we'll go back again. I highly recommend if you're in the mood for some good southern comfort food.“
“This place is fantastic. The food is homemade, cooked when you order. Everything is so fresh. I love the tacos de Pollo, & Baleadas, they are so good. The staff is friendly. This place is fantastic. The food is homemade, cooked when ordered. Everything is so fresh. I love the Chicken tacos, and the baleadas, they are so good. The staff is friendly.“
“This place is amazing. It’s so lovingly and cleverly executed, and the vibe is comfortable and versatile. Casual dive bar aesthetic quietly shows its underlying class with a mariachi Magritte that’s perfectly on theme, and that subtle excellence is par for the night. The infused tequilas are an artistic masterpiece, and speaking to Chelseana I was impressed by the dedication and attention to detail of every aspect of this must-visit spot. It’s a perfect demonstration of what the corner bar can aspire to be. You should probably try the fish tacos…just sayin…Put it on your list today!“
“Love the fried chicken here! The seasoning and flavor is always consistent. It's also served hot. The fries seem to be sitting out for a good minute as it's always room temperature. But I can't give this a bad review as I do come here for the chicken. The staff is always friendly. This location is small and has a few seats to turn in.“
“The most delicious chicken I ever tried I always stopped by that place to buy smoke shop. But now MY stop will be at the chicken yesterday Sunday, the lady who charges and serves, very helpful and friendly. I think it's called franchesca.“
“I recently dined at Sur Latin Peruvian Food. The ceviche and potato with cream were delicious. However, the Pescado al Macho was so so; the fried fish featured on the ceviche plate lacked crispiness. I recommend the chef to ensure the fish is crispy for a better dining experience.“
“Sad to say I will not be going I encounter something unexpected that I feel so uncomfortable going I will remain anonymous because I don't want no one knowing what happened it was nothing to do with the people in the trailer workers but a certain one I never expected for that to happen. One day I'll come out what happened for know I'll stay quiet I hope he stops because it's not right what he tried to old to act that way“
“Latin Bites is a friendly restaurant with excellent staff and delicious menu. I enjoyed the ceviche to start and then the cilantro chicken. High attention to details and flavors abound. The tres leches dessert and coffee for dessert was amazing too. It is a very pleasant setting and recommended for small or large gatherings. Bravo!“
“I'm very proud to have a Guatemalan restaurant out here on the space city I was born in south west Guatemala but moved to Texas when I was teenager but I really don't miss our food because now we have this Guatemalan restaurant that have all of our tradicional food “
“I'm Puerto Rican, so I already knew walking into this establishment that the empanadas would be different than what I'm typically used to. I was initially going to order the pizza and picadillo because those were two flavors that were more similar to what I'm used to eating and an empanada, but I went ahead and went with the picadillo and the brisket Was a bit dry and could've had more flavor. I do also feel like they could've been a little more because I think you are paying about four dollars for each I didn't really care for either of the sauces that they gave me with the empanadas. The restaurant itself was pretty small but clean and the employees were at least the one that helped me was very kind.“
“Absolutely love the food and atmosphere here. Quality of food is always top notch, fresh and good portion. Despite this place being packed most of the time, seating is always available within 15-20 minutes. I suggest using their waitlist in google for sure. Very easy and convenient to use.One complaint only, I think they’ve recently added automatic gratuity to the checks and they won’t let you know ahead of time. When you’re signing off on your payment, they ask for additional gratuity. It’s like they’re double dipping into your wallet. Don’t get me wrong I’ll be more than happy to pay 15-25% tip but let me decide if the server deserves this amount. Most servers are very attentive and take care of you pretty well, but you never know.I definitely recommend Harry’s to anyone who’s up for good food and drinks. ?“
“Growing up near the heights taco nazo on Fulton in north side has always been my go to when it came to tacos so I was shocked to find out there is a taco nazo on the Southside of houston. At first I thought it was an imposter but we came last night and they taste just like the ones in north side. Can someone confirm if NS taco nazo is the OG and these are simply relatives or what ? Food: the tacos and quesadillas were amazing. Top G. Just like the ones you get from taco nazo on Fulton. Full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The tacos and quesadillas seemed a little bit bigger too than the ones I am used to getting in the NS. They also have tortas at this location. You don't see that at the one in NS. I would definitely come back. They line wasn't as long as Ns either. They were very fast and nice. Got us in and out pretty quickly. I'll definitely come back to this SS location asap. Like asap rocky. If someone knows the history of taco nazo let me know. I've also been to the one on Longpoint it's good but the use different cheese and their tacos are tiny. I have also tried the one off Irvington. Pretty solid as well. Stop in and give them A try if you want some amazing tacos.“
“The chicken is the best, buy chicken and then a separate drink so you can continue eating everything, it is delicious, they are the best and I have been to all the chickens in Xadenas and these are the best, I congratulate you on those chickens that are so delicious, thank “
“The best of Honduras here in Houston I have been living here for 17 years and never in a Honduran place do they serve like this place the food is very good the prices are very good I don't give it more stars ? because I don't recommend them“
“The atmosphere and service are good. It was 12:40 am when I wrote this review and the only reason that got me out of there was the music in the two environments. The DJ in the closed area only plays Mexican and salsa music and the one in the horrible patio honestly doesn't have any. knowledge of how to keep a club full and that makes them lose their clientele, it's more what they talk about than the music they play and the mixes are horrible. Please change the DJ urgently. If you ask me if I would go again, I would say NO, just because of the DJ. rest all good remember that they have a diverse clientele“
“Very interesting selection of Asian fusion dishes. The quality and value were very good. The special of the day (roast beef) was very flavorful and the grilled chicken tikis was as well. We also had a very nice Brussels sprout salad. The wait for our food was reasonable and it was fresh. Definitely one of our favorite stalls at Post.“
“Reyna, thank you very much for the service. I loved all the music and food. It's been 3 times that I've come today. It was the best of all for the service. I wasn't going to return because the last time a male waiter was a terrible service.“
“Popusas were traditional and very good. The pizza birria is a new plate for me and it was very delicious, definitely coming back, we recommend everyone to come to this place. The popusas were very delicious, the birria pizza was the first time we tried them and they are delicious, I will definitely return and recommend this place.“
“A wonderful experience at Toro Toro. We ordered the filet mignon medium rare and my son said it’s the best steak he’s ever tasted. We also loved the lobster mac and cheese! My cocktail arrived in a glass bottled and was poured into the glass. Our server (I wish I could recall his name) was the most astute and professional server ever. He was on point and showed interest in my son’s basketball team. We also enjoyed breakfast here. The host staff was so friendly both times. I cannot say enough good things about this place!“
“The food was so delicious. I am on the road a lot so I miss home cooked food but this place gave me the feeling of eating home cooked meal. The food was delicious and high quality not to mention I didn’t feel like I was eating fake food like a lot of chain restaurants. If you have a chance I would highly recommend.“
“The last time I went was in 2017. Everything was good except the waiters. How they realized that it was not what they wanted. I don't know if they knew I was Mexican or it was because they were busy or maybe they didn't like me. But it took them a long time to serve me and my wife. The only one who served us well was a dark-skinned man who was the one who lifted the plates and helped the waiters. I tipped him because he was the only one who did his job with us. I felt that he was a little offended but at the same time happy that I recognized his efforts. That man has my respect, honestly. Humble but with character. Excellent food, Caribbean atmosphere. The only bad thing was the waiters. I hope they changed now because their food made me love monfongo and want to go to the D.R. I'm going back because I liked their food.“
“Delicious food at a great price! This truck was at Pickleball Social on 9/28 so I decided to give them a try. I ordered the shrimp patty burger w/ fries for $9.74 after tax. I expected a patty made out of shrimp, but I received a burger with ten whole shrimp on there! Everything was so delicious. I'll definitely be back to try their other menu items.“
“Jonathan was honestly great. He was very attentive and even made me aware that he saw me as I was walking up. He was very patient as I had to unlock my card for my purchase to go through. The food and drink was delivered quickly and everything was fresh and delicious. Great job all around.“
“What a great experience! It is a little bit curious that his location is inside an office building that appears to be a shopping mall but his place looks nice and he had soccer on the television. His food was great and he was friendly. He had a great selection of pastries. I will definitely be back.“
“This was a new experience as very seldom stop at what I hear called taco trucks but it showed up as one of the near restaurants and so we decided to try it. There was lots of pictures of the meals and we both picked one. Some of the extras came in little baggies tied in a knot which wasn't as easy to use but worked out. The meals were very good. Don't really know prices as there was no prices anywhere but the whole dinner for two, beef quesadilla and one chicken quesadilla and drinks cost $22“
“The food and ambiance were wonderful. I wasn't sure about the menu offerings at first but gave it a go and all dishes were great. Oxtail soup, gumbo, smash burger, drumlettes, crudo and chili rellano....Danny along with our waitress were wonderful. We are looking forward to returning“
“Best Guatemalan restaurant in the Houston Metro. Very authentic the flavors remind me of home and the sweet bread is amazing. They a great selection of authentic Guatemalan groceries including queso fresco y crema fresca. If you wonder how Guatemalan food actually is visit El Quetzal on Gessner.“
“If you've never been here before, you're missing out on some amazing food!! Hands down one of the best empanadas I've ever tried in Houston! The food is freshly made, perfectly cooked, and well seasoned. My go-to items are the beef empanadas and masa frita, but the chicken empanadas and others are also really tasty. If you go into the restaurant you'll also see this awesome photo on their wall with a astronaut on top of empanadas lol (bravo to whoever made that). The employees there are also super nice and very sweet. Definitely check it out!“
“This was my first time tasting Peruvian food and it was absolutely delicious!!!! I can't decide if the Bistec or gallina was my favorite! The flavors were amazing and presentation of the food was beautiful!! I dont recall the drink I ordered, but it's a very traditional Peruvian drink that was tasty but very strong!!! More on the tart side. I will definitely be going back!!!“
“Based on the great reviews, I made this my first stop in Houston and it was delicious. I ordered the panpano frito and the pescado al ajillo. Both were really good and so filling! Each was enough for 2 to share. I will definitely be trying more things here. I do recommend calling ahead and was told about 25 min but they were ready in 35 min. There were a bunch of people by the truck but it was orderly and the ladies on the truck were sweet too.“
“My wife was craving pupusas but I was craving pollo asado so we ordered both. The pupusas were big and stuffed with cheese. The curtido had the perfect “pickled” taste. The salsa was tasty with a kick! The pollo asado plate fed us both and we had enough left over for a second round each. The pollo asado was very flavorful and the smoked sausages were a nice surprise. The rice was good and the charro beans were delicious. They had a good amount of sausage and bacon in them.“
“Food is delicious. Latin, but not "mainstream", like you see at Mexican restaurants, either traditional or TexMex. Took some co-workers and among us, pretty well sampled the menu. All were pleased. Helpful staff. Not the quickest out of the kitchen, but worth the short wait.“
“Really surprised the lamb mixiotes are the same flavor where I am from (puebla) the avocado tree leaf gives it an incomparable flavor, the lamb barbecue is really just as goodIt's a pity that the Veracruz tamales ran out today but I will definitely be back to try themI came here for your new advertising and since it almost never happens, I have had a very good experience. The waitress was very friendly and very fast at all times, I always try not to miss anything, she is really good at what she doesI will definitely recommend this place to all my friends in Puebla who have been looking for a place with this flavor in mixiotes and barbacoa de borrego“
“The food here is excellent and affordable. My co-workers absolutely love the Diablo Shrimp and the enchiladas are some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Their chips are cooked just right, not soggy or greasy and almost have a slight buttery taste. It’s also worth noting that their rice and beans are extremely tasty. You’d be surprised how many Mexican restaurants mess that up regularly. Not here ?? it’s fortunate that this restaurant isn’t closer to my house as I’d undoubtedly have to buy bigger clothes ?Parking: They have their own designated parking spots so it’s always easy to find parking.“
“We're obsessed with this restaurant! It's a little "hole in the wall" spot but the Pupusas are SO good! Our favorite were the spinach and cheese and calabaza and cheese. The filling was oozing and the flavor was (as the kids say) giving We asked for extra cabbage and salsa for our to go order and they delivered. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. The ladies working there are also so sweet. If you are craving Pupusas this is the place to go.“
“I was hooked on the food, the family atmosphere and well decorated. The service is excellent. I repeated the next day but we couldn't eat because I went with my parents for the whole fried fish and it had already run out early. I will return for “
“I had the most basic plate on the menu because I couldn't decide on what I wanted lol my waitress was very reassuring, but I hate sending food back, so I stuck to the chicken bc I was so undecided. The Chicken Chicharrones was tasty. The drinks were great! You can definitely taste and feel the alcohol -- I got my monies worth. Will be back to try the Ceviche & a main dish.“
