The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a good coffee house: clean, comfortable, a bit funky, and not an ounce of corporate anything. It is a quaint little throwback coffee house centered around revolutionary ideas, located in a cute 1940s American bungalow house. The place is always packed full to the brim. The coffee is good and excellent. The cafe de olla is a great pick me up with warm spices and a subtle sweetness, and it comes in a cute mug. Another favorite is the coffee with cinnamon. They also serve tamales pisques. There is plenty of seating with a mix of tables, couches, and comfy corners, making it feel like going to someone's home for coffee and snacks. The staff are great with friendly service. It is a very cozy coffee shop in Houston.
