“1/12/2025-This is a awesome vibe here. The ambiance is a nice bistro with some crazy art to keep you entertained but the music and lighting sets the mood. I would come back here again and again. I visited here without a reservation and was greeted when I first came in. The staff was nice friendly and attentive. Emma was awesome and recommended some dishes. The burger, half chicken, rice, and sesame butter cookie were awesome and the drinks. I had the voodoo drink. I highly recommended and you won't be disappointed.“

“I made a reservation for the burlesque show and I was NOT disappointed. The entire staff was super kind and happy to answer all of my questions. The food was amazing. The staff was incredibly kind and they were more than happy to laugh and joke with us. The seating was comfortable and perfectly placed to see the show. I will definitely be going back to try out there pool side reservations as well.“

“Visited after seeing their billboard which featured a seemingly perfectly fried wing dripping with hot sauce. We were not disappointed! Wings were cooked to a beautiful crisp, were steaming hot, and served wet with sauce. We tried Korean BBQ, Hot, Mardi Gras, and Hot Honey. Korean bbq was surprisingly spicy. Hot was a nice standard buffalo flavor, not too hot or salty. Mardi Gras was flavorful, but very mild and perfect for those who don’t like spicy food. The hot honey was good but I probably wouldn’t order it again. There are some flavors I’d still like to try like spicy peach 🍑. The french fries were seasoned well and were served hot and fresh. The fried corn was a special surprise that I would highly recommend you try. The guys running the place were very friendly and accommodating. Give em a try. We went to the Midtown location.“

“I have been coming here for afterwork happy hours for years now. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed with live music on occasion. The bar staff is top notch and really take care of you - shout out to Adan and Jose for holding it down! Can honestly say I've never had bad service here. Highly recommend Whitehall for a weekend stay if you're passing through or a stop at part & parcel if you find yourself killing time downtown.“

“This place was sick! It’s a covered patio that’s been converted to an intimate, artsy and cozy space. It reminded me of the cocktail scene in Tucson or Mexico City. I’ve never been anywhere in Houston that compares. The food also delivered more than expected. We ordered the quesadilla and it was huge (big enough for two) and delicious! Let’s keep this gem alive Houston! Will def be back.“

“I've been dining at La Columbe D'or since 1985 and been through its many changes. It is still THE go to place for a quiet romantic dinner or lunch. Its the kind of place where manners still matter and you can have a conversation without having to yell at each other. The menu is a little smaller than it used to be but they execute what is on the menu very very well. There is simply no other place like it in the city and for the quality, the prices are very reasonable. It is iconic and historic and a must try.“

“If you want a great cocktail, go to Julep. Great, diverse flavors from around the world.

First, the valet parking attendant is awesome. Service in the bar is great, but when busy it can get very loud and service can slow down — although the drinks and snacks are surely worth the wait. If you’re looking for a quieter environment, the overflow seating (if available) is much quieter and better for conversation.

My notable mentions are the baked brie and Floradora cocktail.“
