“Food was amazing! Vegan options are seasoned well and make sure you’re not missing out. Hope y’all get served by Jeanelle, when I say top tier service! She was so sweet and all of her suggestions and recommendations were on point! Definitely coming back!“
“EVERYTHING about this place is authentic and wonderful! They make the noodles in-house and they are PERFECTLY chewy and soft. Had the gyoza and two bowls of Miso ramen (one spicy) absolutely delicious. Best and most authentic japanese ramen I've had since moving to TX ABSOLUTELY MUST TRY!! ♡♡♡“
“The staff is so friendly the moment you walk in the door. The atmosphere with the j-pop music in the background is different and cool. The menu is beautiful and clearly written. Now, the food…. Wow! It looks like the pictures in the menu and taste so much better than it looks. This is a fantastic restaurant and you will be very happy you went. If you are a Karen, please leave your fake medical device at home.“
“The best place in Houston for fresh sushi and good service and price.... specially Markus was great, every time we go there for dinner or happy hours. Thank you Marcuse.Parking: a lot of parking spaceKid-friendliness: yes They have kids menue“
“Owners were so welcoming not to mention the food was delicious, made to order, and reasonably priced compared to what other birria places are charging. As well they gifted us a Mexican Coke as a welcome treat for being first time customers there! Lovely family owned stand and will definitely be back for more!“
“Everytime I go to Jinya NASA location, it’s always a great experience. The food and service exceeds expectations every visit I make. I always ask for the lady named Ashley Diep to be my sever whenever she works! She’s always taking care of my needs and provides excellent service! You should definitely ask for her to be your server before anyone else!“
“Atmosphere is great , service was simple and fast , food was fresh and hot , it’s great for a short lunch or a night with friends. Totally recommend, what made it outstand was the price for the freshness and quality of food, it’s totally worth it for its price. They also offer deals and combos when dine in.“
“Hadn’t been to Jinya in years. Had a taste for Ramen and decided to stop by. The atmosphere was great, we had the drink of the day, it was ok. The food was good but in my opinion needed just a bit more seasoning. However, overall it was a great experience, the service was great and we enjoyed our meal!!“
“We keep coming back for more! Sushi is fresh and the combination of ingredients used for the rolls is amazing. We ordered the yellowtail appetizer, clear lake roll and the komeya roll. We’re not afraid to try new rolls every time we come visit because we know we won’t be disappointed.“
“Sushi Chef Calvin was focused and precise while preparing a mouthwatering Yellowtail Belly Sashimi & Albacore Nigiri so fresh it literally melts in your mouth and the Spicy tuna rolls had just the right amount of kick that washed down perfectly with a hot sake...A gem of a place definitely recommended!! Two thumbs up??“
“Beef noodle soup was awesome, hand pulled noodles are super fresh. The restaurant was very nice and staff was super friendly. Tonkatsu was hot and crispy and bao was fresh and fluffy. Definitely recommend dining in at the restaurant, the food tastes 10x better fresh.“
“I am obsessed with their Curry Ramen & Seafood Fried Rice. I’ve been here (dine in or takeout) 4 times in two months. The sushi is also pretty tasty! This is my favorite for Ramen bc they have so many options and I prefer a ramen with shrimp. The servers are nice and atmosphere is pleasant, although sometimes I can smell (what I assume is) the fumes from the nail salon near the restaurant, so takeout is my preference.“
“So lucky that thru a friend I get to go on their soft opening night. Am I IMPRESSED! It's a group of us foodies and we ordered almost everything on their menu, NOTHING failed me at all. They play pretty exciting music trendy enough to match the décor of the restaurant. I was in love with the interior design, its hip, upscale and trendy. The layout of the place makes it look pretty spacious. Once I went in I was excited about getting my food.Fried pot stickers have the most thin skin, big meatball inside, very soft. And when you take the first bite, there's juicy coming out, almost like Chinese Xiao longbao. its so hard to do for such a thin skin.Shrimp toast is something I first had in Houston area. The only other place I ever tried was in china. And Jinya's are amazing. Its very toasty when they bring it. The toast is soft yet crispy, the sauce on the side makes the toast even better. We had two orders. LOL.Pork belly buns are amazing. The buns are sweet and the pork belly is soft and juicy, perfect together, but not to much fat makes you feel overwhelmed.Unlike other place their Taco teriyaki balls are pretty soft, not too chewy, even though I like them bit more chewy, but the softness has its own flavor. I can eat it without the sauce on the bottom, that's who flavorful the balls are.I like my ramen have more texture so I asked for advise, cant remember which one they brought me, but I just love love love the chewy texture in it. Bravo. Soup are very flavorful, super rich, must took them a long time to brew to this level. My waiter was so handsome and super attentive, I think he refilled my friend's coke 5 times the entire time we were there. Food came in very fast one after another, we almost had no down time. Maybe that's why by the time we were done, we all feel supper blowded. But its GOOD blowded. LOL. Worth the 2 lb I put on myself. We absolutely had nothing to complain about. But enjoyed the whole time while we were there.“
“I came around 9PM and when we walked in we were immediately sat down and our waitress, Sophia was really kind and understanding about everything I enjoyed her service! I had the spicy garnet ramen and I liked how the broth tasted, the takoyaki was REALLY good but if you don’t like fish/sushi I wouldn’t recommend it. I also really liked the music they were playing. (Beabadoobee, jungkook, ichiko aoba etc.) Overall the experience was great and I would come again.Dietary restrictions: My brother asked about anything that didn’t have shrimp and our waitress helped him out!“
“This is honestly one of my top ramen places that I've tried in Houston. I had heard that the ramen here is very authentic, so I had to try it out for myself. I came here on a week night for dinner, and unfortunately, they were a bit understaffed. There appeared to be only one server for all of the tables, so it did take a while for him to take our order. I'm writing this review a few months later from when I tried this restaurant, so I hope that has changed now. He was very friendly though. I tried the tonkotsu gachi ramen. It was VERY delicious and flavorful. It didn't feel overly heavy like some other ramen places that I've tried. I can say that this does taste pretty authentic. I like the location of this place too because I live around here, and it's easy access for people around the medical center to go to. I hope this place stays here for a while! I would absolutely come back.“
“Houston is really coming up on having fantastic ramen! I am a garlic tonkotsu kinda girl, and Ramen Moto did not disappoint nor skimp on the garlic. Very flavorful broth with lots of noodles and fixins, so you will definitely be full after. It is surprisingly pricey compared to other downtown ramen restaurants, especially if you want extras, but still worth it.“
“I only did delivery but very good sushi and a decent price. Think Uber eats jacks the price up some but the sushi was so good it was worth it. Very good fish and nice sized pieces. Great presentation too. Miso soup was good too! I’d order again!“
“I’ve been coming here for a little over a year, and I’ve got to say it’s definitely a must go-to restaurant. The service, the food, the atmosphere is spectacular and this place deserves more recognition. I love the staff, especially Lillian <3 she’s awesome and always makes sure every one of her tables are taken care of no matter how busy she is. I would recommend this place to anyone!“
“Local sushi hole-in-the-wall type restaurant. The menu is really good, but we usually make up our own rolls and they accommodate it well. We enjoy our meals at Yoshi's.Vegetarian options: Plenty of opportunities to avoid the animal products if you are vegan or plant-based. Miso soup, vegetable rolls, ramen, appetizers, etc.Dietary restrictions: We ask for some basic veggie rolls most of the time and the results are good.Parking: Either in front of their shop or in the whole foods parking lot, no big deal.“
“After spending hours in NRG watching rodeo, we were so hungry and found a nearby restaurant named Taro. It was really great to have meal there, including sushi and drink. We enjoyed the ramen and all you can eat. The old guy waiter was very nice and humorous. I liked him. Very good service.“
“When I came in the server, Hudson, came right to me and got me seated right away with little to no wait. Hudson’s attention to detail was remarkable, and he had a genuine passion for ensuring we had a fantastic dining experience. The food was spectacular in every aspect!“
“My server was Peyton. The interior instantly gave me industrial chic New York vibes. I really loved the design of the place. What I ordered:• Tonkotsu Black• Takoyaki• Fried chicken• Pork belly BaoEverything was delicious! Only thing I wished was the takoyaki to be a liiiittle more crispier but other than that, everything was flavorful. Customer service was enthusiastic and wonderful.Definitely coming back!“
“Toyori is an interesting fusion restaurant which serves both Japanese ramen and Taiwanese sizzling steak. While I cannot speak to the Japanese ramen, I say that their signature rib-eye steak was some of the best I've ever had. What made it stand out:1. The sauce - I typically go for the classic black pepper sauce but the combination of the black pepper sauce with the mushroom and tomato sauce was too intriguing to pass up. I was a big fan of the sauce (even though I'm not the biggest fan of tomatoes in general).2. The steak was a perfect medium as ordered. I find that I don't usually pay much attention to how the steaks on these sizzling plates are cooked since they're usually pretty thin but Toyori's steak was not only cooked perfectly but was tasty as well.3. Portion size for the sizzling steak was good; I certainly was not hungry after eating everything.I will also note that the service was fantastic for our party of seven, and their physical menus have large beautiful pictures of the food. All in all, I will definitely be back for the sizzling steak (and maybe the ramen) when I'm back in Houston.“
“Great sushi and service. Pricing aren’t that bad on top of that. Highly recommend the seared yellowtail belly, seared salmon belly and the scallop topped with foie gras. They were delicious that we ordered more of all of them. Tasty food for the kids as well. We ordered the stir fried udon noodles and the chicken karage. Small restaurant but definitely a spot we will be hitting up more often!“
“Good food, good location with decent prices. I ordered take out, paid online. The hot spring rolls were ok, but a little mushy on the inside. The rice was great and I love the no veggies option. Egg drop soup was good, but the taste of green onion was a little to strong for my taste. I do wish they gave the crispy noodles with the soup. Everything I needed came with the order. There is an option for utensils when ordering online. My order was ready when I walked in, the lady was nice, but not to much of a greet. I paid 20$ for two small spring rolls, a bowl of rice & and a cup of soup.“
“We ordered the Shoyu ramen and the Spicy miso ramen. The broth and fixing on both are great. However, the noodles are not great. They attempted to make it themselves but are not very well made. They are mushy and have no elasticity in a good ramen. Might be better if they would have used a good store bought fresh ramen.“
“I love Ramen Noodles & born & raised in New Orleans we ❤️it so when I started working @ MD Anderson. In the Medical Center I put Uber Eats on my phone & so I tried this Restaurant & Babyyyyyy when I tell u I've bed. Hooked every since then So today is Ramen Noodles day so since Zi have had it in some months I decided to get it before work this place is A is A Gem I could eat it everyday it's Delicious back home we would call this place A Hole in the wall but it's worth every penny I give it A 5 ⭐!!!“
“I’ve been to this place several times and they never disappoint. I’ve gotten various items, but with this trip, I got the tonkotsu ramen. Nice heat, good noodles, delicious chashu, and delightful broth. I wish the broth were a bit creamer, but other than that, it’s amazing regardless. Service is quick and friendly. Interior is cozy with a good amount of seating. I recommend a visit! They have a few other locations around Houston as well.“
“It is killing me that I visited this place years ago, but I do not remember when or with who. Anyway, I went with the intention of trying a new ramen place, and this one had the highest ratings in the area. The place sure is a little small inside, but it wasn't full, so it was fine. The service was decent too, and we got served pretty quickly. I think they were playing some pop in the background for ambiance. As for the food, I got a spicy miso ramen bowl, gyoza, and my cousin got a sushi roll. I picked mild for my spice level, but I think I would have been fine at the higher one. I think the place was a safe choice; the food was good, the service was good, and the ambiance was okay, but nothing too out of the ordinary. I would go again for sure if I am in the area and in the mood for a promised comfortable and fresh meal.“
“First time we went- my son loved the Ramen. I wasn't happy w the poke Bowl i got but the staff was nice and they helped me choose something else. Personal preference I guess- Wasabi isn't my thing and the dish I got had honey Wasabi on it that I didn't notice. But the appetizers were amazing and the place itself is soo nice“
“They food is good the ramen is nice but I ain't even gon cap it got some weird aftertaste just the noodles don't get me wrong the soup broth and base was bussin and the meat was bussin which is what I mainly care about but them noodles tasted kinda funny tbhh maybe it's just me tho everything else was solid“
“The owner Judy is so nice and accommodating. She always presents with a smile. Food is delicious and the atmosphere is very chill. My favorite items are the Black Garlic tonkatsu ramen and their special crunchy roll? (#15).*Already ate some of the sushi in the pic!Parking: Free parking in shopping lot.“
“I didn’t expect the spot to be pretty small but it’s such a cozy little place and the staff was very nice and attentive. The food was so good, the broth from the ramen was very rich and savory, I just wish it was a little more full but the perfect portion truly. I also got the Skydiver roll with soft shell crab and eel which was absolutely amazing.“
“On Friday afternoon, I brought my wife back to eat at this restaurant. The food was delicious last time so I came back. This time I was a bit disappointed. The taste was still good but the broth was too cold. When it's cold, I like to eat hot food but the bowl of chicken noodle soup was cold. In my order, I asked for extra bean sprouts. When I brought it out, the bean sprouts were already put in both my bowl and my wife's bowl, so it was more appropriate to put them on separate plates for everyone to eat and pick up for themselves. My wife's and my ice water glasses both had no ice, weren't cold enough, my bowl had a large chip on it, my wife's bowl had a smaller chip. I think if the bowls use coffee sticks, are the ingredients of good quality? I don't know this. The staff serving the bowl held his thumb in the bowl. I don't know if his thumb touched the broth, but it felt a bit disgusting. The bowl should be brought out using a tray or cart. In general, the taste is good, but it's too cold and not delicious, 5/10, the service is 3/10. Next week I'll try again and edit the review later, contributing my personal opinion. I still like this restaurant. I hope it improves and becomes better so that Vietnamese cuisine can be loved and spread.EditedCame back to try 3 more times, every time it was delicious and hot, my wife complimented me, I never had a chipped bowl again, the staff was ok, the service was good, it seems like last time it was just an accident.“
“Sushi and sashimi is good and normally fresh. Service is normally good. The bathrooms are clean. The anime art is cool. I will give it 5-Stars until the place has better ventilation installed to push any tiny flying bugs away from my food. Its my food that I am paying for, not the tiny flying bugs’s food and the bugs are not paying for it. The bugs probably entering from the opening of the front door by regular business traffic or whatever, yet I am bothered and I cannot eat my food with 100% peace of mind. 4-Stars until I can.“
“Killer Noodle Tsujita is a ramen restaurant in the Heights neighborhood of Houston, Texas. The concept was started by Takehiro Tsujita who had success in Tokyo, Japan with his restaurant, Seito Masamune Tantanmen Tsujita, in 2003 and has since expanded to 18 restaurants across Japan. Tsujita wanted to bring forth a new ramen into the American community that would not be as heavy in comparison with their popular tsukemen soup (something even children could enjoy). He came up with "Killer Noodle Tsujita" in Los Angeles, California in 2017.Killer Noodle Tsujita features a style of ramen called tan tan men, which is Chinese in origin. The restaurant's signature dishes incorporate dan dan noodles with peanut butter, sesame, and Sichuan spice in the broth. It's definitely a unique style of ramen, but they also have the classics like Tonkatsu, Miso, and Chicken ramen. The restaurant itself has a private parking lot and multiple tables inside with a bar. They even have a section dedicated to toy claw machines where you can spend a dollar per chance to win![RAMEN]+Tokyo (signature dan dan - chicken/pork broth, chili oil, Sichuan peppercorn, sesame sauce, peanut butter, vinegar, white sesame, beansprout, nikumiso, cashew, green onion, and soft boiled egg) for $15.50 - From first sip of the broth, I tasted spice, peanut butter, and sesame. This was a new experience for me. Although I enjoyed it, I would prefer a classic ramen. - 4/5Overall, Killer Noodle Tsujita was a new type of ramen experience for me. Personally, I have never tried peanut butter in my ramen broth, but it was surprisingly pretty good. I do prefer classic ramen, but I would still recommend the experience to others if they wanted to mix things up!“
“Brought the family here for a late lunch/early dinner on a Sunday. Overall a wonderful experience. The atmosphere different. There are four different types of seating. Open seating, bar, the multi-level honeycomb tables, and individual private table. We were seated in one of the curtained tables. I really liked being separated from the open area. It filled some of the noise and allowed the family to focus on each other. We ordered Takoyaki octopus balls and pan fried gyoza dumplings as appetizers. The Takoyaki had great flavor. The only negative I could say about the whole meal would be the octopus was chewy. That is no big deal, sometimes it just is. The dumplings were great. I ordered the Omurice with pork tonkatsu. Comes with rice with a runny omelet on top. They usually serve it with a sauce, but could not decide which one I wanted. I went ahead and had both the demi glace and curry sauces on the side. An “Amazing Lemonade” to drink. All had great flavor. I’ve been wanting to try this dish for a while and glad a restaurant does a good job at it in the Houston area. I cannot remember the name of the meal my wife ordered. It was a teriyaki beef burger with rice buns. It came with a side of fries purple sweet potatoes. I believe it is on a special menu, so it may not be available if you go. Both were delicious. I stole a bunch of her fries. My some ordered the Japanese curry ramen combo with Thai iced tea. My daughter ordered The Mega combo also with a Thai iced tea. Again, the ramen were perfect. I am not a fan of Thai tea. To me it usually has too much cinnamon to me, but I really liked theirs. All of our meals came with a steamed pork bao bun. My wife hates pork, especially pork belly, but she ate the whole thing. For dessert we shared one Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly since we were all stuffed. It was a light and refreshing end to the meal. Overall the food is fantastic and all that was a little over $100. A pretty good deal that stuffed four grown adults. Glad this place is over an hour drive from the house or I would be tempted to eat here all the time.Parking: The shopping center has a bunch of businesses that fill up the parking spots. Had to circle a few times waiting for a space to free up.“
“I was REALLY pleasantly surprised by this place! Not only was there a good selection of different broth styles to choose from, the one I got (Tonkotsu Black) was so, so good. Thick creamy broth, perfectly cooked softboiled egg, wonderfully rich flavor. The ONLY tiny issue was that the large number of sprouts on top will quickly overpower the flavor of the broth unless you get rid of most of the sprouts before mixing up the soup. Luckily, that's extremely easy to do, as they come on top of the soup rather than mixed in. Definitely will be back!!“
“Delicious meal options! The tempura is perfect, the watermelon boba slushie is top notch, and the ramen broth is slurp worthy!Parking: We were able to park right in front of the door.Kid-friendliness: Comfortable environment for kids to enjoy too.“
“Everything I ate was delicious. Will definitely be back again. Sushi was fresh and well prepared, small plates were different than what you’d usually find at a Japanese spot. The miso glazed cod (gindara) and the black sesame spinach were highlights of the meal.“
“My wife and I flew in from GA and decided to get some Ramen. Our Bartender DJ was by far the best service we’ve had in town. We got great shots and he gave us detail and the history of each bottle. Definitely recommend coming to this place for the food and for our guy DJ. Thanks man we’ll definitely be coming “
“If u like sushi this is a quick bite place But not for a fine dining The overall quality is not meeting standards But the layout and portion is generous Really good for someone just want to taste a little The service is good But will not return“
“I had a great experience here. New ramen shop opened up near Seiwa Market. This is their soft opening so they open from 11am-3pm. We came before 11am so it was still closed. An employee came out and yelled "We're open!". We were the first one in and we got a warm welcome from all the employees. People just kept coming in every minute and soon the place was packed. This place has done well for itself even though it's their soft opening. They have great service here with the waiters checking up on you every now and then if everything was okay.Spicy ramen: enough spiciness and rich broth. The noodles were thinner and the bowl was a decent size. You can add in extra noodles and a half-boiled egg.Tsukemen: also known as dipping noodles. The broth was too salty for my taste. The noodles' size was bigger. The egg was cooked just right and has an interesting sweet taste. I find dipping noddles too be a little tedious to eat so I just poured the broth into the bowl which defeats the whole purpose of dipping noddles but whatever works for you. There are combos that you can order. It comes with a side and a drink. We ordered combo A with the fried chicken and pink lemonade. It was surprising when the waitress gave us another cup of pink lemonade when the one on our table was almost empty. I didn't think they would do a refill on a combo that cost only 4 dollars.“
“Food is fantastic !! I recommend their sushi, especially the Shaggy Dog and My Phone 8, and wings, though those are a bit pricier. You order on the kiosk and the workers announce your order number when it is ready. I like the restaurant design and the subtle K-Pop music in the background !!“
“Food was fantastic! We caught them on a busy night so service was kinda hectic, waiters weren't sure what table was theirs and that kinda thing, but we will be back. Cabbage was out of this world and skewers of meat were all delicious.“
“Sat at the front bar. Felt welcome even as an underdressed white guy. Ordered rhe P1 and a Salmon/Avocado roll. The broth was amazing, the pork perfectly cooked the fat melted like butter and the pulled pork added amazing flavor to the Already delicious straight noodles. The Salmon in the maki roll also perfectly melted with the avocado and the rice was amazing. The draft Ichiban added 5 $ but wasn't needed during a perfect meal but made the wait unnoticeable.“
“Compared to the other local ramen place...this is by far more tasty and more bang for your buck. Broth and meat were a little on the salty side, but overall a generous portion of noodles, seaweed, bamboo, and onions. I did add a whole egg; I'm glad I did.“
“Came in for dinner and had a wonderful experience. Staff was greatly helpful and recommended the Ichiro Ramen dish for me. I can tell you, it was very delicious. Really enjoyed the atmosphere there. Plus, it was nice to see Naruto on the front window enjoying his bowl of Ramen. Will definitely come back again when in Houston.“
“I was recommended this place by a friend so I tried it this weekend for an early dinner. It wasn't too busy which was great and we got seated immediately. We got the gyoza and some ramen bowls. The gyoza was fantastic, crispy and delicious. I had the tsukemen which came with a bowl of sticky noodles and a bowl of ramen broth. Ramen was good but the sticky noodles are kind of hard to eat because it is mostly one single lump of noodles stuck together. Definitely recommend atleast trying it once“
“Rakken ramen is one of my go-tos for ramen as they're healthy and fast. Not your typical ramen as they use a vegetable broth, which is equally as delicious as a regular pork broth! Our server, Yaya, was attentive and provided great service today! Thank you!“
