“Did a search for good Greek food in the Pasadena area and this place showed. Drove from Deer Park to pick up lunch, and it did not disappoint. I got a mixed plate with beef and chicken...wonderful. The food is great, atmosphere is nice and clean, and the staff are very friendly. I will be coming back!!“

I knew I was in the right spot the moment I walked in. As soon as I heard the dialect coming from the kitchen, I understood every word — and instantly felt at home. I arrived about 30 minutes before closing, yet customers kept coming in one after another to grab their last‑minute orders, which tells you everything you need to know about how loved this place is.

The young gentleman in the front — I believe his name was Muhammad — was extremely kind, patient, and easy to deal with. I told him I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted besides baba ganoush and something with chicken and rice. He brought out a vegetable‑based sauce to go on top of the dish — I’m not sure what was in it, but as you can see in my pictures, it tasted fantastic. Whatever he recommended, it was absolutely spot‑on.

The food quality is excellent, the portions are huge, and I’m genuinely glad I stopped in. I enjoyed the meal so much that I’m already planning to return and try the mosakhan if I have time. Saraya is absolutely worth a visit — authentic flavors, welcoming people, and a great experience all around.“

“Mary’z has been my favorite in Houston for Lebanese food. It is the closest thing I have found to what my Tita made. I went to the Richmond location today and ordered the grapeleaves, cabbage rolls, cucumbers with laban, fried kibbe, and ashta with bananas. The kibbe, as per the menu and in authentic form, is made with pine nuts inside. Well, there were no pine nuts, but instead there were almond slivers. I asked the waitress about it and she told ME to ask the “chief”. I imagine she meant the chef. After some conversation, she asked the chef for me and came back to the table and said it’s always walnuts. Well, that’s wrong because it used to be pine nuts and now it’s almond slivers. I’m not sure where walnuts came into the picture. I decided my question was not going to be answered by this waitress and chef. In my opinion, the only reasons to substitute pine nuts with almonds would be availability (we’re in Houston and they are available within a mile of this location) or they are too high (this is a restaurant, if the ingredients go up, raise the price, don’t scrimp). I frequent this restaurant for authenticity, not because it’s cheap. I probably won’t be back to the Richmond location. It was better before they rebuilt. I prefer the Washington location where I’ve never had any complaint. Please don’t substitute pine nuts with almonds…“

“We spent an enjoyable evening at Sayad celebrating a special birthday with coworkers. Not only was the food delicious and the presentation delightful....the service was quick and courteous too. We had over 15 individual orders . Most of the dishes were served promptly and the longer wait for the Oozy dish was well worth the time... I love the new location, the warm ambience, and pleasing decore. It was however a little complicated to find it on Google Maps😆“

“Droubi's is the oldest Mediterranean place in houston from the 70's. I've been a customer since middle school & I am 42 today. It's Delicious, Authentic, & ALWAYS Affordable! Over 50 years and the same gentleman that owns Droubi's still runs it with his wife. Hats off & respect to both of them.“

It is a bit on the pricey side, but their service is prompt and they have a good variety of kebab food.

I would say their specialty is their house-signature sauces. I would give all of them a try to see what you like and go from there. Overall I recommend this place, I would say it’s more unique than CAVA.“

“Decent lunch option in the tunnels downtown. Certain things can be a bit overpriced but the rice bowl with gyro is pretty good for the price. Nothing too amazing but is still better than most other spots offering the same type of food.

“My husband found this place on maps a few months ago and now we try to get it 2-3 times a month on the weekends since that is when the chicken biryani is available! We get that, naan, and samosas (y'all will have to excuse the poor pictures and half eaten samosas, they’re just too good not to eat immediately).

Pricing is more than reasonable! We end up spending less than $25. Portions are also great for two people.
