Very good food, good customer service!
Very good food, good customer service!
We happen to come across Abu Omar Halal today while in Baton Rouge, Louisiana & they definitely caught our eye…. We just had to stop and try it! 🥳
Let’s just say it was soooo worth it, They have the best version of chicken shawarma I’ve ever had. I ate every last bite before leaving the parking lot. ❤️
We got the Chicken Shawarma Arabi along with a side of spicy garlic sauce! The spicy garlic sauce is a MUST TRY!

Excellent beef shawarma sandwich, more food than I could eat. They also had soda from the ME I hadn’t had since my 2010 deployment. The guys working were very friendly and generous with the food and sauces. Try them.

Based on the reviews, Abu Omar Halal serves great food with consistent taste across locations. The shawarmas are delicious and the prices are reasonable for the size. The Arabi Shawarma is perfect, and the Brisket Shawarma is worth it. The chicken and lamb kabob wraps are super juicy and well-seasoned. The sandwiches are awesome. The family platters are loaded fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The fries are crispy, and the sides like hummus and fried cauliflower are a must-try. The baklava is light, flaky, and not overly sweet. However, the pickled veggies have become very salty lately. The service is great, and the staff is very professional, friendly, and quick. One location has authentic chicken with the right cut, garlic sauce, and crisp on the outside. It is always a pleasure to enjoy the best Halal food in town.
