I have worked at Parrilla Colombiana on 2 occasions and I am a witness to the respect and love with which she always treats us (all of us). The cook has been working for her for more than 4 years and I have heard him call her “mother”, because of the immense affection he has for her. I am sure that the people who work at Parrilla Colombiana have not seen your comment (I will let them know), because they would have already expressed themselves about it.
I think that everything that Nancy is is reflected in the flavor of Parrilla Colombiana and its people. Everything at Parrilla Colombiana is great…!!

“I am a lvl 8 google reviewer. I have been to over 10 Colombian and Venezuelan restaurants around Houston. This spot has the best price to value ratio. The plates are packed and the price is low. They give you lentil soup for FREE that you can eat while you wait for your order. They have the BEST empanadas. I mean really! You could go there and just buy 10-20 of them and that would be enough. They cost $1 to $1.60 depending on the filling. The cashier is so kind, even to a partial Spanish speaker. Highly recommend picking this spot over the other 4 in the area.“

“This place is one of the worst I've ever eaten at. We ordered paisa trays and all the food was just reheated, I imagine in the microwave the taste was horrible. We also ordered some tequeños and the cheese inside was still frozen!! Nothing is fresh in this place, I don't know why it has 5 stars. If I could, I would close this place. It is an insult to good restaurants and to people who know about good food.You have been warned, don't come if you don't want to ruin your day!!!And the service cannot even be said to be equal or worse than the food!!! ?“

“We’ve been wanting to try columbian food and finally did. I had empanadas and my husband ordered the bandeja paisa. It was good but I recommend the columbian bread instead. The bread is really good! The buñuelo was my favorite! The staff was friendly and explained what each bread was.“

“Have been eating at this place for many years and it always takes me back to memories I have of Colombia. The food is good, I have ALWAYS ordered the Bandeja Paisa (small version), this time I was determined to order something different. Ordered the Picada [without the Morcilla (blood sausage)] and asked them to cook it so that the yuca was crunchy and the chorizo and chicharon was crispy as well. WOW it was a huge plate, enough to share; asked for a to go box for what I was not able to finish. Danielle our waiter was amaizing; always there when we needed something anticipating our needs. The only thing I would change are the TV screens, if I wanted to eat in front of a TV, I would do that at home. Maybe bring out the TV screens during the World Cup and other BIG games/sporting events, that would be my suggestion. Also, would like to have Uva (grape) Postobon. Will continue to frequent this establishment“

“My husband and I were looking for a rotisserie chicken that is actually delicious and well seasoned (unlike the ones at the large grocery stores). And dear god we found it. One of the best rotisserie chickens i've had in a while! Highly recommend!“

“What a great find! Very unique truck, the service and atmosphere is as good as a truck gets in my opinion. Menu has a lot of good stuff, going to try more every time I'm in the area.

They are open late which is big for me. I got the original burger and it's a very interesting combo of flavors, delicious, a little sloppy but worth it. Next time I plan to try the hotdogs.

Prices are very fair and plenty of parking, with 2 covered seating areas.“

“First time trying Columbian food. It was delicious. Meat and chicken with a Chimichurri sauce were amazing. Enpanadas were fantastic!! A must try. We liked the beef and chicken options. Wonderful flavors are so fresh and tasty. The sides were just as great!! Small red potatoes, fried yucca, plantains, fried pork belly, sausage, and arepas. Ordered a dish for three people and brought a lot home. Desserts were also Wonderful!! Restaurant is small but worth trying.

“Very good place to eat. The place has a good atmosphere where you can eat quietly without much loud sound that interrupts your conversation. The food portions are according to the price. The seafood soup is great if you want to recharge your batteries. I would recommend checking the salt and pepper containers frequently, the one at our table didn't work well and we had to jump to another table to get some salt.

I would also recommend putting a few more napkins. There were four of us at our table and we only got a few napkins. In general, excellent service and food.“
