“Great food with taste! Seasoned well & the service was fast & informational. Will definitely be back. The shrimp & grits alone will have you coming back time & time again. Also try the catfish or shrimp po boy with the loaded fries won't disappoint.“
“I've never been here before, but thanks to Michelle she walked me through it with great customer service. The food itself is just okay for me (I wished the bread was warmed - even though mine was toasted), but there are more flavors to try, so maybe I've not found the right one for me, yet.“
“Absolutely delicious! Went here for the first time with a group of co-workers during lunch and we all loved it. The catfish was delicious and I even loved the coleslaw, which is rare for me. Our waitress was also amazing. She was so friendly, quick, and attentive. Thank you so much for a wonderful lunch, will definitely be back.“
“I pass by this place often. I always wanted to try and I wasn't disappointed. The catfish and my sides (dirty rice and green beens) was hot, fresh and good. I will be back for those onion rings. They make their own special sauce. Yummy ?“
“It's good for what it is--a chicken salad deli. The soups are good, and everything is fresh. The staff is friendly and it's always clean. Seems pricey for pureed chicken & mayo with varied mix-ins & and seasonings, but if you want chicken salad and don't want to make it, this place is for you!“
“Everything about this place was amazing! The service is great, the food portions are huge and you would not expect that with how good the prices are. The environment is cozy and quaint. Their sweet tea is my favorite LOL- The chicken fried steak is a favorite. We ate here (not even kidding) 3 nights in a row after curiously deciding to eat here for the first time!“
“My family and I checked out Granny Dee’s Kitchen, a cool black-owned spot we wanted to support. The elderly man who greeted us was so friendly, and we didn't mind waiting for him to take our orders. We ended up spending over $100 for four of us, which wasn't bad. I liked how they have different stuff on different days, so we went for Friday's menu. The meats were cooked well and tasted great, but the black-eyed peas needed more seasoning and cooking time. I loved the collard greens, but Mom found them too bitter. The mac & cheese was awesome, and the pound cake was moist and yummy, especially when heated up. But the sweet tea wasn't our thing—it tasted kind of fake. Overall, Granny Dee’s Kitchen was a nice spot for lunch. Everyone's got their own taste, so you gotta try it yourself. We'd totally go back to try more stuff.“
“Second time to visit this wonderful restaurant. What a gem! Our server, Katie, was awesome & so accommodating. My friend & I both ordered the chicken fried steak & it did not disappoint. Mac & cheese bites are a must! House margarita was a little disappointing; too sweet & tasted like it was made from a mix. Will try a different cocktail next time. Overall great dining experience!“
