Awesome little spot tucked away right off the main highway into town. Staff was extremely friendly and helped us choose what to order, even though we showed up right before closing. Sandwiches were excellent, really hearty and plenty of meat.Would highly recommend!
My son and I tried Base Camp for the first time today and I’m sorry we waited so long. We had the Italian and the Turkey and Havarti sandwiches. Both were delicious and almost more than we could eat. These are the best sandwiches we’ve had in a long time, the staff was friendly and service was great. Definitely one of our favorites in Bastrop.

We had been working all day at a farmers market in Giddings and made it just at the cutoff time to Base Camp Deli on our way back home. We were treated with smiles from Clara and the option to have a made-to-order brisket sandwich either with a French jus dip or cheese. Also ordered a refreshing cucumber mint tea that I sipped while waiting for the order. We got one of each and it did not disappoint. I had the one with the French jus dip: tidy but decadent.
