Been eating here since I was knee high back when bastrop also had Cartwrights Mr.Billy’s is a staple in the community that I will never get tired of
Fantastic TX BBQ. We have a few BBQ places in Bastrop, but this is locally owned and operated. It’s not a big chain like others. It’s small and quaint but the food is solid with a TX atmosphere. If you’re in the mood for BBQ give Billy’s a try it will not disappoint.
Very good food. Staff are nice and helpful. Prices are good.
Small and cozy place to grab lunch. I had the meaty baked potato and it was very filling and delicious. My son had the 2 meat plate with chicken, brisket and mac n cheese. His favorite was the brisket but still enjoyed all of it.
Great food, great prices, and very kind people !
Omg if u r looking for great bbq this place is it! I am here for the week working and man I ordered from here this is the best bbq I have ever had! I will be eating here every day their open while I’m in town!
I ordered the two meat plate and the sausage was very good but the brisket…it was truly phenomenal. It was moist, melt in your mouth moist, with charred crispy top and so much flavor! It is hard to find brisket with real flavor. I have lived in Texas my whole life and have had my share of brisket and this was honestly the best I have had. Small family establishment with old country music on the radio. LOVED IT! Brought me back to when I was a kid. Will stop again when passing through.

Decent place to eat but honestly the food is terrible. The fact that its so close to austin makes it worse. Seriously one of the worst meals Ive had this year. Honestly hard to believe they charge money for it. There was nothing redeeming. Not the sides or the meats. Hope they fix it but I wont be going back

I wanted to love this place because I hate going to the giant barbecue restaurants. Unfortunately, I had probably the worst brisket I've ever had. You could tell it was smoked but somehow tasted like it was boiled and hard. My husband had the pork ribs and liked them. All the sides were fine.

Stop by here based the reviews and let me tell you they’ve master BBQ. The food was absolutely amazing. If you get a chance to stop by try their sausage it was delicious. I have now saved this as a favorite for when I’m back in the area.

The service was courteous and fast, food is fresh, and the brisket is tender and very flavorful. The dining room is rustic and typical for a good family-owned Texas barbecue place. I will definitely come back the next time I visit Bastrop.

Best BBQ in Bastrop and surrounding area, including Lockhart! Tender ribs and brisket, tasty sides, quenching iced tea and decadent desserts. People were so friendly and welcoming. Portions are generous. Good price. Clean and cozy restaurant.
