We ordered a to go order and after spending 30 bucks on 2 burgers we won't be going back the staff wasn't very helpful the building was full of smoke obviously the vent wasn't working properly and my burger was still mooing inside even tho I ordered well done that location isn't a good spot for eateries maybe they will have better luck moving closer to town

My wife took me to this gem for my birthday. They were open for takeout only, but when they learned it was my birthday, they brought us inside, and Giovanni served us personally. The combo gumbo was absolutely DELICIOUS, and my wife had a superb catfish fillet sandwich with onion rings. If you haven't tried this restaurant yet, do yourself a favor and experience the best food in all of Bastrop.

First time eating here with the wife and definitely not the last, staff was great, friendly and warm but the food, oh man.I have been burnt by gumbo in a lot of places and git a bowl of salted meat and rice with layers of salted but this gumbo had depth, layers of flavor, savory, made me physically happy, this was Gumbo for the soul. The red beans and rice though a simple dish was just spot on and was a dish you just kept taking bites from over and over till your belly tapped out, even the potato salad had a depth to it, like a deviled egg potato salad and you just wanted to keep eating. Wife had the catfish Pontchartrain, the fish cooked to perfection and the sauce was sinful, only complaint is there needs to be a nice slice of french bread to wipe the bowl with when you are done, trust me you will use your finger.All in all I was happily suprised and pleased with my meal and the atmosphere, a great addition to Bastrop and a culinary must eat at location.

The fettuccine with blackened shrimp was the bomb! Gumbo was also very tasty. Shrimp needs a little help with getting the batter to stick. The owner and staff are super nice and inviting. Can't wait to go back ?

Ate at Boudreaux’s in Bastrop, Texas for the first time today, and we were extremely happy we did. Brought two Cajun family members with us, and we were not expecting the food quality to be so exceptional. Add to that the huge portions like a cup of gumbo being the size of the usual bowl and the Shrimp Poboy being the size of two anywhere else. I had the Crawfish Etoufee and it was tasty and of course a huge portion!Take it from this Cajun, try Boudreaux’s…you’ll be glad you did.

Second time at this place and great meal once again! First time had the chicken gumbo. Flavors were spot on and the portion was enough to take home and have for lunch 2 days in a row. I have had gumbo where it seems like all you are eating is spoons of rice. This gumbo was had chicken and sausage in almost each bite.This time tried the shrimp po boy& hush puppies. Po boy packed full of yummy shrimp to the point I could not finish the bread and just picked out the insides ! Hush puppies were fried to a golden brown and very tasty. Besides great food and a cute place, staff is friendly, place is clean and the owner comes out to chat. Fun for families, couples and friends. Would highly recommend !

Amazing! Well done... the food quality, sauces, spice, portions.. very well done.. something hard to find sometimes in smaller towns. But hands down, some of the best Gumbo I've had in a while, blackened catfish and shrimp Pontchartrain was really well done. I highly recommend!
