This place deserves a 5***** The Al pastor is numero uno in Bastrop. Enchiladas are outstanding. Pazole soup, all of the salsas, mouth watering. All of the staff treats you like family. Order the whole menu like I do, Just save me some?

This place has always been bad with customer service because they are cheapskates. They give you the MINIMUM amount of food you can just tell their mind frame is give the customer the bare so we can make the most money, I don’t appreciate the skimp people mentality especially when you charge so much for a plate to get nothing. I understand it’s tough to run a restaurant but it’s even more tough when the regulars stop coming because of bad business. It’s also literally just the family working the restaurant which is kind of a red flag that they try to do it all themselves. I’m Hispanic and I can CLEARLY see they discriminate against white people and others who don’t speak Spanish. (I seen the lady treat a group of white people differently but treat Mexicans with open arms) such a clear bias.I would come here every once and awhile and recently have made the decision to stop going, I will not support a business owner with these unethical practices. It’s obvious they don’t care about people coming back anyways. I Give them less than 2 years before they close. Probably why they changed their name from Krystal’s to taco king, or maybe they realized Krystal’s was such a generic name that they couldn’t legally use it. We can only hope they can read English so they can read my review, hire someone more personable to take orders, and stop skimping people on food EVERY TIME.

I ordered the crispy taco plate, and the Chile con queso. Every thing tasted like it was made right then and there straight from Momma's hands or grandma's hands or from that caring nurturing family members hands, you know, the one that loves you and spoils you rotten. Though I wouldn't recommend eating from any floor, I think it would be safe to eat from El Taco Kings floors. The restaurant and bathrooms were squeaky clean. I'll be a regular for sure

Taco King First, this isn't Krystal's taqueria, it's called Taco King. Overall it's pretty bad. Shouldn't call yourself a Mexican restaurant if you don't make you own flour or corn tortillas. In this instance all tortillas were store bought. Order water, and they charge 1.25 for a small bottle.Caldo de pollo. $13.99, posole is $14.99, the bowl doesn't reflect the price, expensive price for a small bowl. The broth of both lacked an authentic slow simmer of protein. Barbacoa, wasn't fresh and tasted fishy, beans had no flavor, potatoes were ok. I will say Coffee is fantastic. But I'm not coming here for their coffee. Service is ok. If they would have put our order in correctly. Overall, don't recommend, this restaurant wants to make it, but has no idea how to make good food.
