Food was awful. Eggs Benedict was way over cooked. It was like two hard boiled eggs. Not only was it overcooked, it was cold. Couldn't eat any of it. Ordered the waffle, it was served cold also. Service was almost nonexistent. Won't be back.

We stopped in on our way to Fredericksburg. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had. Great service and delicious food. Loved the local, small town feel. Will definitely return anytime we are in the area!

It was OK. I think the appeal is that it is a homey atmosphere, like mismatched utensils, plates, and cups. I had the hotcake. As you see in the picture, it is the size of the plate. I ordered it with pecan praline and it came with less than a tablespoon of it. Since the hotcake is so big, it wasn't fully cooked. When we were seated, a young girl, late teens - earltly 20s, asked for our drink order. She had to ask each of the 4 of us 3 times what we wanted and still got it wrong. We asked about a dessert in the case and she stated "I don't know, I just get drinks!" The biscuits and bacon gravy was just biscuts with gravy and a sprinkle of bacon. Being in Bastrop, the water is terrible (if you live here, you know) and unfortunately affected the iced tea flavor. AND they have Pepsi and not Coke products. BUT the fries are good. They are battered so probably frozen. Since Bastrop doesn't have a lot of options for breakfast, it is worth a try, but I prefer IHOP pancakes.
