I just had lunch at Paw Paw’s, the service was bad and the food was even worse. I got the fried catfish platter and not one piece of fish was edible. They were chewy and hard, the French fries were cold and tasted old.The waiter never came back to ask how the food was or if we needed anything. I had to take our young daughter outside because she started to get unruly so my husband complained about the food for me. They offered him a free basket of fish and fries to eat right now. He told the waiter that he couldn’t do anything with the food she brought because we have to go back to work; so she set it on the table and walked away after charging us full price for the food.

Love the food was so delicious them onion rings were my favorite. I just came back again just to pick up a order of onion rings . Thank you pawpaw team everything was just right keep up the good work see you all again.
Food was well prepared, tarter sauce could of had more.... and catfish very good but could have a little more flavor to batter plates nicely sized, service was exceptional

I hate to say it, but paw paws has declined. The food is only subpar now. The service is slow and no greetings from employees. It’s usually pretty busy, so we decided today to pick up food to go. There were multiple empty tables and a lot of people standing around. I ordered the fried shrimp po-boy. It was ok, but my French fries were stale. My husband got the fried fish platter and his French fries were also stale, beans had no flavor and he didn’t get the hush puppies. We also ordered extra hush puppies as I’ve always loved them here and we didn’t get the extra order of hush puppies either. So, paid for extra hush puppies and got none. Disappointed in the decline in food quality and service. Such a shame for a Bastrop local restaurant.
