I stopped in one morning to try the breakfast tacos. They were average overall — not bad, but not great either. The cashier was also preparing my food, which made the experience a little uncomfortable because it felt like the order may have been rushed. Also none of the other employees were helping and instead were just talking. The brisket in the tacos was dry, and the sausage was even drier. It tasted like the meat may have been reheated, although I can’t say that for certain. Overall, the tacos could use some improvement. I would suggest looking at places like Rudy’s breakfast tacos as a good benchmark for flavor and texture. That said, I still thought they were better than the tacos at Southside Market Place.

Small family pack went from 67 to 89 up charge if you order meets with no bone because they sell it by weight… i get to my meeting and they forgot the bread! The food is nothing special… if it wasn't so late I’d buy Billy’s BBQ which is way better. Billy’s next to DQ way way better

Bastrop is the best city in the Lower Colorado Valley, and they're attracting the best people and businesses. Smokey Mo's is one of them. They've got serious competition and they're doing well. Big shout out to them for helping local volunteer fire fighters replace aging equipment and contributing to the community. Their food is great, it's in the middle of a great expanding shopping area and a place to get off the highway and relax for a bit.

Went with my family today and the cashier Bella’s attitude was amazing. She saved me alot of time with the knowledge of the menu and was truly amazing!! We sat and ate and she was very attentive to the lobby and always had a smile on her face!!! Definitely will be coming back for the amazing food and outstanding hospitality from her!!

Not bad and was an ok meal. When I got the cheddar bacon potatoes....it was a half warm half cold dish. It was some buttered potatoes with cold cheese and bacon thrown on top. If they would put it through a warmer, it would melt everything down and make a much better dish. The barbecue wasn't bad on the sandwich just didn't seem to have much smoky barbecue style of flavor if that makes sense. Not a bad place and I will give them one more try in the future and make my decision from there.

Fatty brisket? Dry and chewy Sausage lacks flavor/snap. Pork ribs are overdone and dry. The sides honestly save this store. The employee taking my order lacked enthusiasm. Service was subpar and disappointing. Staff looked sad & unenthusiastic as if they didn't want to be there. You walk in expecting a pleasant BBQ scent, only to be greeted with a hint of dirty mop water/ The lack of responses to negative reviews compared to other BBQ joints shows the degradation of integrity and transparency.
