What a great place ran by great owners and great employees. From the flavors of the treats and ice cream that is delicious their stock of candy and novelty gifts are worth the stop in any time! We had our sins 2nd birthday there that I thought would be a complete disaster due to weather but the owners went above and beyond to make it not only happen but a great fun time for everyone and a birthday party our son enjoyed so much! We do a party there again and again and stop in for all our seeet needs! Thank you natacha, her family and her staff!

The magic is gone and the shop has become more of a money grab. Inflated prices on tik tok trends that even kids don't follow. I found that a weird thing to focus on. Also, there were more empty containers than full. The kids used to love coming here, but now, it became more of a chore with the workers sitting behind the counter barking the warnings at the parents, "if they mix colors, you will pay for the highest." Well, then step out from behind the counter and explain that or put up signs like Drusilla had. These are kids, with candy...they are excited. They had been here enough to know this which made it doubly offensive. It made me sad. There used to be a humor to this place and, like I said, a magic. That's gone. I'm so sad this will be our last trip. We will leave it to the tourists.

Just wanted to say what a great job Destiny did today! She was by herself and our group came in of 13 people and there were other customers too and she took our orders fast and helped out everyone and I just wanted to give her and this place a shout out! So keep up the great work!!
I had never been to Bastrop before but found myself there recently for work. I noticed the sign and decided I’d just pick something up for my family. But as I entered and looked around, the owners made my whole experience in there! They were so kind and warm and inviting that you couldn’t help but just feel joy and hospitality from them. They were patient and enjoyed showing me the plethora of offerings they had. I wound up coming across several of their chocolates that I loved so much, my wife and I literally planned a day trip to come back and get more. Amazing shop, even more amazing owners. Completely worth your stop if you’re in Bastrop! Highly highly recommend!

All of the candies/chocolates we got were stale like they’ve been displayed too long so I was really disappointed. Everything else was good, bluebell ice cream was great. But anything behind the glass counter was old and stale and not worth it ?

Since the change in ownership, the customer service at the Sugar Shack has noticeably declined. However, it is encouraging to see Cameron back, as she consistently provides excellent service with a smile. Her presence is the primary reason we continue to patronize the store.
