Customers treated like friends. Charming well run cozy place. Food outstanding. Place should be packed all day long. Reminds me of old fashioned diner updated for now. Only drawback is their single bathroom. Although its well equipped, it's at the very back of the building past the kitchen and disheveled store room.

Recommended dishes: Steak and Eggs

Steak tips were great and the club sandwich and fries were really good to. Small town atmosphere in the town square!

First proper date night since the baby arrived and this place was perfect for it. Quiet enough to talk, lively enough to feel like an actual occasion. Food was excellent, staff were warm without crowding us. We lingered for ages. Bill was very fair. Already plotting how to get back here.

The grits weren't good..gooey...everything else was very bland.. i was looking forward to this...read all the great reviews...was a big let down.. Will not be going back.....

First time for me to ever leave a public review on anything.
I'm very sick,and on hospice care.
I cannot cook for myself anymore as my life line is a 12foot oxygen cord.i depend on fast food most of the time,and I hate it,not only do I hate it I still have to findsomeone I can pay to go pick it up for me so I usually have to pay almost 40.00just to get anything to eat.
I believe in tipping as I spent years of my life as a waitress,so I know how important those tips are.my favorite meal is meat loaf and the farmhousè has the best in town
I probably have driven the ladies crazy calling daily to see what the special was and saying a prayer when it's meat loaf.
The lady I ordered from Friday told me they had a take out service for a flat rate of 5.00
I was surprised and she just saved me a ton of money.
It would be my pleasure to nominate the farmhouse as the best restaurant in bay city.
On the flip side the only thing I believe that could be better is I would love to see some good old pinto beans or lima beans as a side or a big bowl with cornbread as a meal.keep up the wonderful work you ladies are doing.and thank you all so much for giving bay city a true home-cooked meal restaurant

My daughter and I came close to closing time, and the staff was very friendly and assured us it was no problem to stay and eat. My daughter ordered the kids chicken strip meal and she says it is very good. I ordered the special plate with chicken salad sandwich, fruit cup, and enchilada soup. It also was very tasty. We will definitely come back again.
