I'm new to the area, and ever since I found this spot, I have been here more than 10x times! This rating pains me, because this is normally a 4, but the last 2x I have been here I have been disappointed! They have several new employees, which I believe are still in training or don't care.. With the new people, the vibes is starting to feel like a fast food restaurant, where people don't care, "allegedly" Every time I come here, I get the same thing every time.. Chicken and rice and rice pudding The last time I came here, when I got home I barely had any chicken in the container. I mean, literally it was little to no chicken.. More rice and veggies than anything! I came back again 10 Dec, (new people again) and this time I get home and the bread that comes with the meal was burnt (see pics) I'll come back, and update the ratings accordingly, but if this establishment continues down this path, I don't think I'll be coming back. Like I said I will be back, but with caution

This place is so good. Food was delicious, service was great. Love that I can add this to the list of repeat restaurants for the family!

My wife and i are visiting the area and i knew for sure i wanted chicken/lamb over rice. Being originally from NY, i have certain expectations for my halal meals and the "white sauce". There were a few other places and we settled on this one based on reviews in compassion to the halal guys. PLEASE GO TRY THIS PLACE OUT. This was easily one of the BEST gyro over rice I've ever had. The portions were HUGE and the flavor was amazing. My wife got the chicken gyro and fries which were both huge and loaded. I also got the pakowra and OMG it was so thin and crispy and packing flavor, I barely remembered there was a sauce before I devoured it all. You can't go wrong with their food, I truly wouldn't bother trying the other places, because IMO there's no way it can compare in price and quality. We didn't take many pics because we honestly started eating right away! Love this place and will def be back when we are in the area.

this place has super local vibes! think halal guys but family owned. the people running this place are so accommodating and truly so welcoming... every visit they speak to me so warmly and they are really just the nicest people. when i mentioned it was my first visit they were very patient with me. they allowed me to get two sides in my bowl (half and half) so i could try a couple things with my bowl. i got gyro the first time but realized that the chicken is the way to go!! it seems to be how they got the name big red. it's so flavorful and delicious. i want to try falafel next time :-) they have two sauce options similar to halal guys -- red and white -- the white is good, but the red spicy sauce is a bit too sweet for me, not too spicy though! there's another spicier sauce that's green, and a few other options that didn't interest me too much... bbq... the pakowra is sooo good. it's $4 for 3 sizeable pieces. i ate them when i got home and they were still crisp even though they were wrapped for a while!! and the cilantro dipping sauce is soo yummy.!! i really love this place and can see myself becoming a regular... the food is great and the people :') so nice

Chickpeas are below average. Chicken meat was good. Could use more sauce in there. better than halal guys though .

The food is average same with the service. The people there were not welcoming and grumpy. Maybe it's because I went there at 11PM. I recommend the quesadilla

HALAL GUYS WHO!? TASTY KABOB WHO!? This place is where it's at. Hands down best halal chicken and rice spot I've ever tried. Definitely adding this to my go-to rotation.

Food is good, but the lady that works there is super stingy. She barley gives anything on the plate. If she's working, I suggest go somewhere else

Really good chicken gyro. Very friendly and helpful staff. I could tell they had regulars, which is always a good sign. I thought pricing was good compared to the size of the gyro and considering the issues restaurants are facing right now. I'm not sure why a few people have said they won't drive 30 minutes for it, evidently that's a way to measure the quality of food. I thought it was good and for those of us that work nearby I will return for lunch or grab it on the way home for dinner.

This place is great! I love the bread that comes with the rice dishes. It's great to be able to customize your meal. Everything was fresh and homemade with generous portions. I got the falafel over rice and some Afghan potatoes. am happy to a support local business

Delicious delivery arrived hot, fresh & fast- what more could I hope for? Very pleased with the falafel wrap (my little ones Loved it) the lentil soup & the chicken & rice were definite winners. The lip zip sauce brought all the right flavors together for the chicken & rice & my sweetie didn't seem to want to share as much as I would have hoped! The breading on the chicken tenders reminded me somehow of how my mother used to make- the seasoning was Perfect. I know we will order again soon- it was a winner for the whole household- even some picky toddlers. Thank you Red Hot Halal! We will be back again soon.

Best combo salad ever! Just loved it! Not only the taste, the portion is more than enough! So healthy! My husband got the chapli. And that was yummy too! I will recommend this restaurant to all in Northern Virginia!

Something about chicken and gyro platters are always so satisfying to eat. This is a great place for halal food. I alway notice this restaurant while driving by Costco but I never thought to stop by. So one weekend I came with my sister before going to Costco. We ordered the combo platter and that came with rice, chicken and gyro and 3 toppings. There's a wide variety of toppings to choose from and I really like that idea because it adds different flavors to the rice platter. The chicken and gyro were cut into bite sizes. Glad it wasn't cut too small because the meat will dry out. The flavors of the chicken and gyro were tasty and not overly salted. There was a good amount of rice which I liked because some places never serve enough rice. There was a few sauce options, white sauce, red sauce and green sauce. The white sauce was the classic creamy sauce. The red sauce was a little sweet and mild heat reminded me of red chili sauce, sambal. The green sauce was spicy but I think it could be spicier. There was good heat but I was expecting fire hot heat. The only downside was the temperature of the food. The rice and meats were already prepared and put in the heated serving trays but it wasn't hot enough for me. I really enjoyed the platter overall and will definitely stop when I'm in the area.

So happy we across this gem! High quality and you can honestly tell how much passion goes into the food. The staff was very kind and helpful during our order. One of our new favorite spots - skip the big guys and support this small biz hole in the wall. You won't be disappointed. Love the wings and spicy burger!
