Flavors are good, but the pricing didn’t jive with the quality/ portion. $27 with tip for Mongolian (beef/ chicken/ shrimp) wonton soup and egg roll. The meat was definitely skimpy. And just my preference, but the meat wasn’t “crisp”. Just the same texture of any other basic Chinese restaurant. Service was friendly and attentive.

The total experience at Jo Jo's is the most important value. They are consistently quick to serve, anticipate requests, and offer great food at great price. ( sounds trite but truthfully so) I've been here many times.

I originally ordered my food to go, but since I had been traveling about an hour and a half, I decided to eat there when I arrived. I even told them to just leave everything in the to-go containers. After I paid, Morgan told me, “Normally if you order to go, you have to take it to go, but I’ll let you do it this one time,” which came across as rude and unnecessary.
The restaurant was not busy—only one other person was dining—so I don’t understand the issue. This will be my last time eating here. A little kindness and good customer service go a long way. The food was just okay!

Ordered online for pick up. Opened my cashew chicken to find an absurd amount of carrots. Opened the order of king pao chicken to again find an outrageous amount of large chopped carrots. Neither of us have received carrots with this order before. It looks like they had carrots that were about to go bad and threw them away in our bowls because my order had approx. 6 small pieces of chicken and 14 cashews and the rest was mushy carrot soup, no other vegetables except 2! (I counted!) celery bits. Like they snuck in there accidentally. I don’t even know if the cashew chicken is supposed to have celery or if it was just slipped in there by accident. The kung pao chicken was barely better but it had at least a reasonable amount of chicken and other vegetables in it after a pound of carrots was taken out. I’ve attached photos of the cashew (actually carrot) chicken and kung pao chicken after the carrots were removed. The wonton soup which is usually good tasted like dish water and was inedible. Idk who was back there cooking tonight but they have no business being in any kitchen ever again. Don’t take a risk at this place if you’re hungry, you might get a good meal but you will most likely pay $42 to be still hungry but now you’re hungry and mad.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars! First time here. Exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic, flavorful, and served hot. The Tangy Spice Ck and Honey crispy shrimp was a standout. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

This establishment is NOT welcome to people of color. As soon as I walked in I was not greeted warmly nor did I feel like my presence was wanted or welcomed. I have ordered take out from this restaurant before and the food is good. Had I came in to eat first and experienced how my kind is unwelcome they’d of never gotten a dollar from me. I have never been greeted so rudely anywhere as I was here. I highly recommend the hole in the wall on calder. The food is great as well as the service and they appreciate our (people of color) business.
