This was the most discriminatory restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We came at 5:30 PM to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and the restaurant was clearly not busy with many empty tables. The wait staff were unprofessional and stood in front of us having a discussion about “finding a table,” even though we were the only people waiting and no one else was in line. After making us wait, they told us it would be a 30-minute wait anyway. When we finally decided to leave, they became sarcastic instead of apologetic. If certain guests are not welcome in your restaurant, that should be made clear at the door instead of being shown through discriminatory treatment. It completely ruined what was supposed to be a happy celebration and left us feeling disrespected and angry.

Sometimes a Saturday doesn’t go as planned. After knocking out a few errands in Beaumont, I figured I deserved a little treat — I reached out to a handful of friends, but everyone was busy. So once again, I ended up dining solo… something that seems to be happening more often lately (probably means a little self-reflection is in order).
But here’s the truth: it still turned into a pretty solid evening.
I slid into a seat at J. Wilson’s, started with a Godfather cocktail — smooth, cold, and precisely what the moment called for. Followed it up with a great ribeye steak dinner and capped it off right with crème brûlée and strawberries (along with a second cocktail). Not a bad way to close out a long Saturday.
Sure, having a beautiful woman sitting across from me would’ve been the icing on the cake… but you take the wins where you find them. And tonight, the win might just be ending the night with a good cigar and a quiet moment to breathe.
J Wilson’s for the win. Service was great — as usual; and the meal was perfect.

Food 10/10, Chicken & Waffles, Steak & Eggs Service 10/10 very attentive, fast, friendly, accommodating, the waiter made a lot of suggestions that helped us decide on our selection, a manager passed by to ask about our experience, they honor veteran discounts Atmosphere 10/10, it gives the vibes of the big city, the layout is spacious with plenty of seating and a nice size bar.

Very busy place lots of people parking was difficult find, Very simple menus The waiting staff was very prompt and very courteous but loud patrons and atmosphere was very busy and loud. You could not hardly hear the person have a conversation with you next to you. I most likely won't return to this location.

Tonight me and my boyfriend went to eat at J.wilson’s, they did not have what we ordered on the menu so the manager Dylan came up to ask if he could help. Well he suggested something else because they no longer carried that steak but still had it on the menu. On top of that the restaurant A/C was not working well at all and it was pretty hot in there. My boyfriend asked the manager why was it so hot in there. The manager proceeded to tell us that they had five new a/c units and it so happened they were not cooling like they should be. We were like well did you call and have somebody work on it maybe they need to be working on it now. The manager was like well I’ll call and see if they can come check to see what’s wrong and I’ll let you know. Well needless to say he never did come back and to tell us what they said. It was very unprofessional and he did not follow through with what he said he was gonna do so it was very miserably hot and on top of it we did not get what we wanted to order. They staff is very accommodating and professional, and the food is normally great. Would like to hear from the owner. Chester Burgess

We decided to venture off of i10 to try something new…. Luckily we found this place which is over the top delicious homemade food. Very large portions, very reasonably priced for the quality of food you get. My husband had the Brunch Bird Biscuit with a side of cheesy grits and I opted for the fried pork chop with the hashbrown casserole. $3 hand squeezed mimosas. Everything delivered cast iron skillets. Our servicer Randall was very outgoing and helpful. The manager stopped by and visited with us a bit and explained why THIS restaurant not only stands out and shines in the foodie world!
