I have been a customer of Kampus Korner since my undergraduate days at LU back in 2012. The restaurant has had no significant changes until quite recently, when, it seems, the owner sold up or began renting the kitchen space to the aptly named Dorothy's Bar and Grill Inside Kampus Korner. They still serve the usual burgers and fries, but have added a steam table. Today, for the first time, I tried the steam table and was very impressed, but I want to tell a story to illustrate...
Continuing a Lamar University tradition, Kampus Korner offers great food, cold beer and now mixed drinks. The new owners rebuilt the old but beloved restaurant into a fantastic looking place. They kept much of the old menu and added many new items.
I went for the first time to try the Gyros that my parents had when they went to Lamar in the 80's, and will keep going back. The owner is very friendly and the whole restaurant seems like a great place for students to gather.
