This is my second time ordering from them. I will say the food the first time was better. I tried the Shabebe house platter, which consisted of a Philly cheese steak on garlic bread and came with fries and six spicy BBQ wings. I ordered spicy parm sauce, but they were out. They called and asked for an accommodation, and I chose the spicy BBQ sauce. Philly cheese steak and fries were good. The wings were fried a little too hard, and the sauce did not come on the wings; it was more of a condiment for my fries because it was stuck to the bottom of the plate. I would not buy their mini strawberry cheese cake again; the crust was burnt, and it is smaller than a regular-size Little Debbie oatmeal pie, if not smaller, totally not worth the price. Believe them when they say mini. Ask to see the cheesecake before you purchase. I would eat here again because the food is good, but no desserts for now. I will be back to try other menu items.

We heard about this place on Tik Tok. We were in the Beaumont area, so we stopped. We got oxtails that were not seasoned & cornbread muffins that were overcooked and appeared old. The rice could have used a little more gravy, but the potato salad, green beans and other entree were good. I would come back. It may have been an off day, we all have them.

I have never been here in person but I order through door dash frequently. The food is really good and it's really nice to get soul food via delivery. They do sometimes run out of what I order but they always call and ask what is preferred for a replacement. Very nice people.

Customer service is great ,but that is where it stops, unfortunately ?.I had the oxtails with yams and cabbage .Oxtails not fresh , I know this because three of the five they served me are cold. Corn bread taste old as well. Cabbage was great . Such high hopes.....

I had the fried fish, mac n cheese and green beans. Everything was fresh and the taste is unbelievably good. My coworker had the oxtails with rice and gravy. It was so delicious. Oxtails will be my next order.Everyone is so friendly and our food came quickly. This reminds me of grandmother's cooking. It really warms the heart and soul.

I was extremely upset with my order. This was my first visit so I was relying on the review and the owner’s pics on their website. It showed a nice battered fried chicken and waffle fries. My chicken was naked (deep fried with very little seasoning) with absolutely NO flour as shown in the owner’s pics. The fries were undercooked and some were definitely hard and OLD. I ordered and had it delivered so had no idea what it looked like until I opened the container and I was terribly disappointed. Unfortunately, I will not return.
From Houston, First time trying and the food was a success. 2nd time trying while visiting. My order was made wrong. Received a 32 oz of Chitterlings instead of 2 16 oz. Instead of making it over, im sure they just poured it into the cups. Getting home and there was barely anything there but juice and small pieces. Like pieces from the bottom of the pot. The inconsistency was off from the first time to the 2nd.

I’d always pass by the location and one day on a impulse I decided to stop by and since that day last year, it has become one of my favorite places to eat. Some places serve soul food and then others serve it to were it’ll make you think about the best dishes prepared by women in your family and this place does that. Out of the many dishes I’ve tried and order on the regular, I’ve never been disappointed. I hope this place stays and continue to be the best soul food restaurant in Beaumont.
