Frist time dining experience:We arrived at 1:15pm no line at the drive up window and waited about 10mins after ordering to get our food. We were greeted by the kindest spirit ever. She was very friendly, patient as we explained it was our first time and remained patient after changing my order. Kindness goes a long way with customers both old and new.We ordered the smoked rib special, green beans and baked beans, drink included (Orange Kool-aid my choice). Also the fried rib special with dirty rice and added a watermelon lemonade. Cost 36.40Everything was delicious, ribs were very tender and flavorful (both fried and smoked), beans were good and green beans were cooked and seasoned well. It made me proud, not only is your staff kind but the food and presentation were excellent. I will be back and will continue to support them.We highly recommend.

I ordered oxtails with sweet potatoes and pinto beans. There was nothing to write home about the sweet potatoes. It just didn’t feel like anything was done to enhance the sweet potato and bring out the enriching flavors. The pinto beans taste grease to me. I had to add some slap ya mama to be able to eat it. But I like the oxtails. It wasn’t full of fat and it had a lot of flavor. I did add some slap ya mama because the flavor was right on the edge, at least for me, at reaching the desired taste. Now I had some chicken and dumplings and I would have to say it was great! From conversation, it was the first time it was made which tells me he has a great taste pallet but it feels like he’s cooking for everyone and not what he would actually make for himself. Everything I ordered had me wanting to know how he would have actually prepared for himself. Oh the sweet tea was awesome by the way and I like the cornbread. I just wish the cornbread was a a little thicker.

Parking: Parking is ok the staff friendly the service is slow . The people order through the drive thru was slow it took over 30 min for someone to order i left went to charlies They need help

I placed my order before picking it up. I get there 15 minutes later and they tell me they don’t have what I ordered. After taking my payment. Not before didn’t get a call back or anything to let me know anything. I paid for 2 pork-chop plates and ended up with bacon eggs and rice. Not to mention I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the orders to come out and was late to work.

Rude costumer service order beef tips food was ok I told them the rice is hard the owner came out and said he gonna give me a refund instead he said it’s not hard to him and no one else said anything only me waste 30min of my time

All I can say is WOW! Me and my boyfriend are visiting from Oregon (a state that normally has a lot of vegetarian/vegan options) but I have never had a meal so flavorful and filling that is all plant based. This was definitely the best place I’ve been to that has both meat and meatless options. We will definitely be back the next time we visit!
