Sat in a broken chair, food took an hour to come out and some came out cold, woman in a bonnet greeted us, sock on the floor on entry, things floating in water, dirty environment.

Buddies and I came from Louisiana hearing and seeing good things online. It was the opposite. Got there at the open and the bathroom was dirty. Our server did not provide great service; never checked on us throughout the meal. First customers and took 45 min to receive the food. Then despite asking previous about pork/bacon being in the shrimp and grits I was told no; but there was, then the server offered to just pick out the bacon. Even though I expressed I don’t eat pork.

Ohhh myyy gawwwwd! This spot kept popping up on Facebook. The BEST soul food I’ve ever had! And the price ($15 for a shrimp boil…I got mines with lamb for a little bit more) is ridiculously affordable! The service was excellent (and they’re just adorable to add to it) from the time you walk in until you leave. And Chef Princess made sure that food was FRESH. Had a little free Grinch margarita while we waited, too! Can’t wait to try more off the menu!
The restaurant overall really needs to be in a better building way to dark on the inside fanning off flies, there was white stuff around the vents, we were seated at a table that had crumbs still on it, floors leading to restroom extremely slippery and greasy. The environment overall didn’t appear to be as clean as I would like to so unfortunately. However it did smell clean. I did not eat anything we just left….
The sea food spinach dip was sooooo good. The stuffed fish was really good as well. The fish was light and flaky.

Today I had the pleasure of being apart of a party of eight. Our waiter's name was Chris. He was very kind, attentive and helpful. We had a variety of food on the table. Fish, shrimp grits, beef steak, lamb and read beans and rice along with macaroni and cheese. Everyone was satisfied with their meal and the steak and lamb was tender. However one of the guest at our table ordered blackened Salmon w/greens. She liked the greens but the Salmon was over cooked. The food was sent back and another piece of fish was prepared and brought back but this time with cabbage as requested. The 2nd time the Salmon was still overcooked as well as the cabbage. Food was sent back with no request for a replacement meal. What made that experience unique is that the establishment was very gracious and put forth much effort to correct the situation. The chef even came out to speak with the guest. This indeed is one time event that will not keep me from coming back. Overall it was a very good experience. I even requested coffee which was brought to me in a very nice cup and was fresh and hot. I will be back.
Very satisfied

Came in to pick up an order of salmon with two sides. It was such a small order for $27! Small piece of salmon and skimpy scoops of sides! I should have taken a picture

worst gumbo i ever ate in my life these ppl have no idea what they doing and very overpriced
Went for lunch 1 time and i got the seafood gumbo, taste wise it was good, but the ingredients in there to me seemed lacking. It was like 1 small blue crab leg, some small shrimp, and a chicken drumlette, and a few slices of sausage. Service was meh the waiter forgot to bring spoon for gumbo, dont know if he had long there he seemed uncomfortable, or not trained properly. Pricewise it wasnt bad but think what was in there could have been better. I ordered a drink containing pineapple rum and cinnamon i think which again not bad but not great. This place has potential to be good, but think it needs that bit of extra effort to have food and drinks taken a step higher with better things in it or executed better, itll be a great place. Overall not a bad place, has room for improvement though. Will have to visit again to try other food there.

Walked in the restaurant and it was busy, which is fine but the guy that was working in the front seemed as if he had a slight issue with one of the other customers. It was his facial expression while communicating with the lady. He was OK with us tho. Went for the ox tails but they wasn't serving them today so we decided to go with the lamb chops. The food was a 7 out of 10. The reasoning for my rating is that it was a pan of Cornbread with a little bit of the sides on top of it. We had the red beans and rice with the macaroni and cheese The food was good but could use a bit more flavor.

Delicious waiting for oxtail Thursday
nice people.
Formally, TRUTH, now TRUST.. the experience was completely unpleasant upon arrival.
First let me start by saying my initial review has been deleted from Facebook 😏 so I came here to leave another review.
I planned brunch with a party of 8 for 10/05. I called ahead to inquire about reservations and was informed that the seating is first-come-first-serve. So we arrived at 1pm to try out the attractive menu we discovered on social media.
The fiery red headed hostess seemed overwhelmed as she informed me that she did not have seating for a party of 8. She explained she just seated a table of 10 and space was very limited in their dining room. So I asked for an approximate wait time. She declined to give me a wait time. Then I asked if there was a waiting area but there was not. Finally I asked did she think we should dine elsewhere and SHE SAID YES!! 🤯
I refuse to beg to patronize an establishment so we left. Brunch was excellent around the corner at Hearsay.
