This restaurant is a hidden gem! I'm so happy we got to try it out with my parents! Welcoming staff as well as clean and the sense of home. The chicken fried steak was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! For dessert I had the butter pecan cake, it was amazing! Others at our table loved their meals to, which includes the mixed gumbo, beef tips, and chicken strips! We cannot wait to go back, totally worth the short drive!
I arrived at 11:30 a.m. on a Thursday. There was ample parking available. Our party of six was seated immediately. The service was quick and friendly throughout. I had the regular chicken and sausage gumbo, It had excellent flavor and was a generous portion! I also had boudin balls, which were also very good.
