Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, a Mid-Cities staple and one of the oldest locations in America, will be closing down on March 5th and reopening at a new location next year. The restaurant is known for its consistent and plentiful food at a reasonable price, with popular items including the monster cookie and the (now discontinued) fried jalapeño cheeseburger. However, there have been issues with cleanliness, including trash found throughout the restaurant and sticky, wet seating. The service, particularly from waiter Kathryn, has been praised, but there have been complaints about the attitude of some staff members. Management did not address the cleanliness issues during the visit.
