I really wanted to like this place because the staff is incredibly warm and friendly, but unfortunately, the food is just not good. It’s truly disappointing. I ordered the three-meat plate (pulled pork, sausage, ribs) with mac and cheese and beans. Out of everything, the beans were the only thing I could eat. The meat had no seasoning at all, and rather than improve the flavor, they just drowned it in sauce to cover up the lack of seasoning. I also tried the jerk wings, hoping they’d be better, but they were just as bad – unseasoned and smothered in sauce that only made things worse.
Hoping for a turnaround, I ordered the oxtails with white rice and yams. Again, it was disappointing with a capital “G” for Gross! It was practically inedible, and to make matters worse, the prices are outrageously high – nearly $100 for three meals that just weren’t worth it.
And if that wasn’t enough, the place itself is not clean. Don’t just take my word for it – see for yourself. I honestly regret eating here, but I had already ordered and didn’t want to be rude by not picking up the food. This restaurant desperately needs a new chef, a serious cleaning, and more reasonable prices.
BTW I just moved from VA, and I am very disappointed. I have been looking for a soul food restaurant. So disappointed. Really wasted my money. Will never return here again and will tell everyone- to stay clear!!!

First time here. Food was delicious and you definitely get your money's worth!! I got the ribs tips, candied yams, mac and cheese, and corn bread. My friend ordered the fried catfish, baked beans, and mac and cheese.

So I also found out about this place from too good to go app. I bought a surprise bag and a surprise meats bag,they both contained the same things except the surprise meats plate they gave me was PACKED I spent a total of 17 dollars and I got 4 drums and 3 thighs,alot of fries and alot of maccaroni and cheese,yall..this chicken was smoked and barbecued,the macarroni was moist and not dry,and the fries were piping hot and fresh, I took my fries and put the macarroni ontop and pulled apart the chicken and put it ontop ,delicious. The vibe is very much relaxed,you truly feel like your at home while you wait for your food ,the atmosphere is so light and the music is banging playing the best hits.i drove from Irving to try this place out,it definitely hit the spot with soul food,I felt like I was eating at the fams house after a long day,I ate ,got the itis. I can guarantee I'm going to be back to try the rest of the menu.

This was our first time coming here and the food is so good. The guy who took our order was very welcoming and the cook who cooked the food came out to check and see if we liked the food. I found my new fav hidden gem. 100/10
