Update: AS YOU ALL CAN SEE ON THE REPLY THE LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY FROM THIS PLACE IS ABSURD. They said a manager was never contacted about the issue we expressed to the waiter but I guess that says a lot about the place, the management and the lack of professionalism. The part where they said my statements are far from reality, when we as a family are the ones who experienced it first hand, confirms the lack of accountability. THAT WAS THE REALITY! Will never recommend once again and updated all ratings to one star. Thank you

My previous review: Crazy to say but my expectations were high for this place and they did not meet them whatsoever. Brought my parents here since we thought it was going to be a nice flavor of Latin cuisine in a very high end area but I can honestly say we will not be recommending this restaurant or visiting again.
Paid over $100 for 2 milanesas that were over cooked, small, and tasted old, 2 empanadas which were the only good thing we had (hence the only picture I took), 1 pollo al horno (no seasoning at all) and 1 cranberry juice.
The experience became extremely awkward when we reminded our waiter my dad ordered French fries with his milanesa and not mashed potatoes, the waiter after speaking to his manager which I have NEVER in the yrs I have been making reviews have had the experience of a manager tell the waiter to get the mashed potatoes back from the customer’s plate to be able to give us the French fries (that btw it was the waiter or cooks mistake sending the wrong item) they said if we didn’t give them back we will be charged extra for the fries so I asked for a plate and placed the potatoes on the plate and waited for the French fries which at least were tasty.
Anyways all that to say very bad experience overall.

Eat empanadas. I liked the filling but not the dough was too humid.

I’m so excited to have found this place! The menu looked amazing, but the first thing I tried was a cold prosciutto sandwich and I really loved it. The prosciutto was fresh and delicious, and I’m truly looking forward to coming back to try more.

Just visited for the second time and the food was equally delicious (ordered a couple new things) and the staff were so friendly and polite. The Choripan is something I’d happily reorder, and they let me swap to a side arugula salad instead of the fries it normally comes with.
We came during happy hour but even outside of that, the prices are reasonable for the quality and portions. Looking forward to going back.

Always good service and always good food. The the empanadas are a must have to start any meal. I really have not had anything bad here, ever.

If you drink, have a Caipirinha it's like a South American Mojito. So good! Be careful though, they pack a punch.

I started eating at Buenos when they opened off south 1st . Then again, once they moved to 6th st. I traveled to bee caves from kyle for a poor experience.

Poor mexican martini, over priced and small portions. Ordered coffee no creamer until the coffee was cold.

The meat was tough to chew and mashed potatoes were dryer than the desert.

It's Buenos Aires Cafe it's goated. I don't see the owner around as much these days but this cafe is absolutely an Austin area legend of it's own and the empanadas and pasta are so good.

Saturday 5/24/25, I went with my wife around 3pm. The place was empty, we ordered chicken and mild beef empanadas with a coke to drink. They brought the wrong empanadas and no coke. They fixed the food but never brought the soda.(Empanadas where a little too oily and the chimichurri didn't have any flavor)
When the bill came they charged for the soda which we told the waiter about it. He fixed it. My point is if the place was empty (about three tables with customers) and didn't get the order right. How do they do it when they are busy?
