This was just a very lucky find. I was at the Galleria, wondering what to have for lunch and there was a parking spot available in front of this restaurant. I took that as a sign and went in and was very impressed. The place is small and cozy with great service, lighting and music. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu as it all sounded wonderful. The things that I tried were absolutely delicious and the sangria spot on.It has that local hangout feeling and I look forward to trying everything on the menu eventually ?

This is a hidden gem of the area. Everything from the home made pasta to empenadas to their filet mignon is amazing.

First time trying Argentine cuisine- these guys knocked it out of the park! We were there celebrating a birthday, couldn’t have picked a better place in Austin. Impressed by the homely and cozy atmosphere. Food drinks and dessert are just delicious! Definitely try empanadas and desserts on display. Wish I had taken photos of food. Going back for sure!

Had dinner there last night for my wife's birthday. Asked the owner Silvia to bake a cake for the occasion (she does all the desserts for the restaurant). It was delicious. There were eight of us and we enjoyed the food, wine, and service. Thanks again Silvia for the wonderful experience!

Excellent everything hormone-free chicken was underseasoned, but still was good ?. The provolone appetizer with Gluten-free crackers was quite good but either that or the chicken dish had an extremely small amount of gluten. If anyone has severe allergy, don't come here (probably a cross-contamination or that one bite of Shepherd's pie? LOL)Again- great place to go, just be careful with the gluten (gave it a 5 star rating for a reason!)Dietary restrictions: See above comments about gluten

Had to call the Bee Caves Police on the husband owner of the restaurant who aggressively came up to our table, took the receipts off the table as my husband was looking at it and crumpled it up as he said, "No Pay, you go". We were startled and our 9 year granddaughter was scared. We had no idea who he was at first and I had my pepper spray out and ready to deploy in case he threatened us further.Backstory: It took over 30 min to get our terrible tasting empanadas and the kids food/order was forgotten. I asked my husband if we could leave, and he said the woman said it would be "Just one minute", which of course turned into 10, 20 minutes more for the kids to get their meals. Plus we had no utensils with which to eat with. Then they held our credit card hostage and we didn't want to leave without it. There was some confusion about the charges on the receipt to which the wife (owner) wanted to explain and I didn't want to hear her explanation. I just wanted to pay and go. I did say to the wife in a conversational tone that I would be writing a less than favorable review (a thought I should have kept to myself) and I believe that is why the husband came over to our table a few moments later and acted in such a childish and brutish manner.Wife did try to give a half-hearted apology for her husband's behavior, but later outright lied to the police officer falsely stating I was the aggressor. I already anticipated this would probably happen as they told "their side of the story" and indeed, it was not a a truthful reflection of what actually happened. Video did show the male owner grabbing the receipts off of the table as my husband was trying to fill it out and sign it, but there's no audio. And because my husband was not hurt in any way, we can't press charges of any kind. So, the best I can do is write this review, understanding justice often never arrives in this lifetime.Hope this serves as a lesson for that Argentinian male restaurant owner to not behave that way in the future and hope this serves as a warning to others. I'm glad for the experience however, because I learned something more about difficult people and human behavior. If you have a bad feeling about a place or a person, listen to your gut and leave as soon as possible. It's interesting how aggressive and defensive the owner's responses are to the poor reviews from other patrons. Quite funny actually. The photo is of our 9 year old getting up from the table after the incident.

If you really like Buenos Aires Cafe, do yourself a favor and go to the one on East 6th. The service at the one at The Hill Country Galleria is disappointing, to say the least, and the food isn't any better. For starters, we had a reservation, and although we were early, they took a considerable amount of time to sit us after our reservation time. Once we sat and our order was taken, that was pretty much the last time we saw our server. We finished our drinks, we and no one came to ask if we needed another one or at least water. They didn't even bring us the check. We had to ask the bartender for it. In addition to that, my fiancé did not receive the additional order of fries she asked for with her meal (at least they didn't charge us for it). Overall, it was not a pleasant experience. We will not be returning to this establishment.
