Best BBQ I have ever had in Texas or anywhere. Went for a bachelor party with a group of guys and they fed us very well with an amazing sampler plate. Make sure to try everything. Avi was super nice let us try a few samples before we ordered and the head cook was an awesome guy making incredible food. We got to try a special Texas treat of Pecan Charoset that is still living in my mind rent free from months ago. They treated us very well with some good ol Texas hospitality. The meats are so good but make sure to try the smoked pineapple and mushrooms. They put a nice twist on everything it is no like no other BBQ a real hidden gem. Skip waiting in lines in Austin and drive out there, its well worth the drive.

Went with my wife and a friend to the new location over at Waypoint Food Truck Park. From our first interaction to the end when we are stuffed, the experience was incredible. The owner offered to just get a sampler of everything and boy was that a good idea. Everything from the brisket to smoked pineapple was amazing. Chicken was nice and moist as well. We all left very full (and wishing we could eat more). We will definitely be hitting this place up at least once a week. Highly recommended!

Absolutely incredible food and service. Love the new location by Infamous brewery. The chicken was moist and delicious. The brisket was the best I have had, loads of flavor. The Cole slaw was perfect! Best of all, the smoked pineapple!! Everything we had today was so good. And the service was the best!! Truly recommend this place!! Will be going back on a regular basis.

Amazing, melt in your mouth brisket! This is the first time I’ve ever tried TX BBQ with an Asian twist and was not disappointed. The sauce was different than anything I’ve ever tasted, but it was very delicious. The magic beans and candied potato salad were superb as well! I’ll definitely be coming back here the next time we’re in Austin. Don’t pass up on coming to this amazing spot. You won’t regret it.

Decided to get bbq today and try some place new. Ended up stopping here. Zero disappointment, phenomenal experience. From the personality of the owner to the quality of the food it was an experience that I don't often find. His menu is all made from scratch and is bbq with a flair of Asian to it. I will definitely be back and encourage friends and family to try this food truck when they are looking for great food and a pleasant atmosphere.

Go and get your BBQ from Kaiser! It's a must try place. Been going back and forth to Austin for the past few months and have always passed by the lot where they are located. For the same past few months, I've always tried going but when I try to go, they're already closed and sold out. This past Saturday, I had my chance and waited for an hour just so I can finally try their food! IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! They were running a bit late which was perfectly fine. He shows care and dedication for his product and wouldn't serve his food unless he's happy about with it. I tried everything on the menu available that day and here's my take: The Brisket was amazing! The use of the Szechuan peppercorns on the rub was a smart play on flavor and texture. It gave the brisket that slight numbing/tingling sensation and a bit of a mouthfeel since he left some of the peppercorn not fully crushed. It was incredibly moist and tender. Vindaloo Pulled pork was an eye opener for me. To be honest I wasn't sure about it in the beginning since I didn't think it would work well with the "BBQ" concept. I was wrong. His use of the sauce and his process of making the pork balanced well with the pork successfully and left such a wonderful play on the flavors. Again, incredibly moist and tender! Sweet and Sour Pork Belly, Huli Huli Chicken and the Spare Ribs we're excellent as well. They were done right and seasoned well. - Pork Belly was served in substantial cubes, soft and moist and the sauce was caramelized perfectly to pair with the fatty belly. - The Huli Huli Chicken wasn't dry at all and the seasoning didn't overpower the chicken. The skin was rendered well too which gave it a good balance of fat and flavor and carried his spices/rub evenly. - Spareribs we're huge! They were also cooked perfectly, moist and tender but still had a bit of a pull which I liked texture wise. I'm glad it wasn't fully sauced and just glazed - another preference - so you can still have that pork flavor come thru. Sides and dessert - don't miss out! The coleslaw, potato salad and beans can be a meal on their own. Agains, incredible use of flavor and textures and they work really well with the meats they are served with. They can stand on their own. My favorite was the potato salad! If they have the rice krispy bars, try it! The cardamom was a great surprise! All in all, I dare say Kaiser BBQ is my favorite BBQ spot in Austin now. Be sure to visit them on the weekends and call or text ahead. He's very kind and hospitable and he's very honest and proud about his food. Everything was thought off well, flavorful and balanced. I need to come back and try the beef ribs next! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and the epic food!

Delicious! It was a gorgeous day for a food truck lunch and the food was an excellent match for the glorious day. The owner kindly moved a picnic table into the sunshine and we enjoyed a complimentary Lone Star while we waited for our 3 meat plate. We tried brisket, chicken, and pork - all three were excellent. On our way home we kept talking about how tender the brisket was - and we even asked for lean!Do try the slaw as one of your side selections - it is an unusual set of yummy flavors and complements the smoke of the meats very nicely. Just sweet enough. We were dipping our pork in the remaining slaw juice there at the end.I highly recommend this unassuming little truck for its big flavored barbecue. We will back - rain or shine.

Drove 30 minutes on a windy Saturday to check this place out based on reviews. It did not disappointment. I got a 2 meats / 2 sides plate to go. The szechuan peppercorn was outstanding (lean cut was all that was left before closing - will go back again to try the moist). The knockout was the chinese five spiced spare ribs with thai sweet-chili sauce. I look forward to coming again.

Stopped by this weekend after a solid dirt bike ride, didn't know what to expect but had heard good things. This place is LEGIT!!! Honestly some of the best BBQ I have had to date. Brisket burnt ends - amazing! All the sides stand on their own. The magic beans.....F'ing magical!! The potato salad, seriously best I've had. Pulled pork was killer - nothing we had was average - nothing! Avi took care of us, definitely will be back and looking for a reason to hold a party so we can get food from Twisted!!

Saw this on the side of the road and decided to give it a try. Glad I did!! Got a pulled pork sandwich and it was awesome. The "twisted" part was the sauce. It was delicious!! So glad I stopped. I will be stopping by again next time I am in Austin. I highly recommend!!!

Love it!!! I got the three meat plate. So much food!!! Burnt pork belly, ribs, grilled pineapple and the potato salad was on point and has me craving more. Slaw was wonderful too. The brisket so tender. If I wanted something more it's that the brisket be seasoned more. Wonderful gem in the Lakeway area.

Possibly the best smoked turkey I’ve ever had. Brisket is excellent too and love the potato salad. Avi (owner) is a super cool guy and loves what he does - a local business that’s easy to support

Amazing!!! Will be back again and again for the brisket, turkey, pork butt, and sides!

Really awesome Barbeque food truck. Had pulled pork sandwich. It was stuffed with really wonderful pulled pork & great cole slaw. My husband had brisket sandwich and he thought it was great. Avi, the owner/chef is so nice. He showered us with samples so that we could try almost everything. It’s all great!Especially loved the Carolina style barbecue sauce too. For sure try the beans— they’re full of meat. Don’t leave without the rice crispy treat. It’s unlike any one you’ve ever had. They’re only there Friday Saturday & Sunday 11:30 to 4.Try it for sure.

I read a review and had to try it. Everything we had was excellent! The pulled pork sandwich will be my "go to" it was loaded with yummy flavored pulled pork and coleslaw. A huge sandwich. My husband had the brisket sandwich made with wagu beef, and loved his. Avi, the owner was so very nice and showered us with samples so that we could pick our favorites. Don't leave without the Rice Krispie desert treat. It's not like any one you've ever had. It's in a red food truck in Lakeway across from Home Depot near Bee Cave Parkway. Only open Friday through Sunday 11:30 to 4:00. You to try it!
