A nice BBQ joint, brisket was flavorful, Cole slaw and scalloped potatoes tasty. The ice tea was properly made. Staff was friendly and helpful. Price $20 which is a good value for Texas BBQ meal. Clean modern facility which I’m sure always passes the health inspection. I would certainly return here to try more of the items on the menu! Recommend!

The food was OK, I had the brisket and enjoyed it. Would've been a four star review if not for the service I received. The man who cut and weighed the meat was extremely kind and respectful, however the lady at the register was extremely impatient and rude. I asked for a fountain drink and she didn't put it in the register or acknowledge that, so I asked her again a few moments later and she became extremely agitated, told me to wait a second very rudely. I chuckled because I thought she was joking and couldn't imagine why that would make her so enraged so quickly. She then asked if I thought it was funny, and that was when I realized she was serious. The man cutting the meat apologized and I paid, the lady walked away and seemed very agitated and aggressive still. The man took over and apologized again saying that some mornings she was "just like that." If she is "just like that" to customers regularly, maybe she shouldn't be in a position to interact with them at all!

This one the absolute worst BBQ I've ever had in this state. Ordered a 2 meat plate with brisket and, since I saw they carry Kreuz's sausage (which I love), I went with that along with beans and potato salad. The sausage look a bit strange and gritty, but I tried it anyways. Big mistake. I spit it out instantly because it was revolting. Tasted like frozen meat that had been thawed in the microwave and then smoked with a pack of Marlboros. The brisket had a nice looking bark on it, but it also tasted suspiciously frozen and incredibly bland. The fat on the brisket wasn't rendered in the slightest and tough to cut with plastic-ware. The beans were bland too. 2 stars given because the potato salad was pretty good. I would have told someone there about the food, but everyone working there was on their phones and looked like they could care less about the crap they're serving.

We have been Schmidt’s Barbecue several times. This time, we carried out the food - The pork ribs, ribs, cream corn and coleslaw. The food was flavorful and tasted really good. Service was friendly and prompt. There was plenty of seating. Place was very clean.

Had not been here in a while and now I wonder why. Everything was delicious! Brisket and turkey had a great smoky flavor and both were extremely tender. Potato salad and green beans were awesome! Will be coming back very soon!
