We never received any drinks other than the water. Fajitas seemed bland with nothing except onions. Sour cream I guess is extra but never saw my waiter until the check came. Charro beans were good as was the red salsa. Kind of expensive considering the service. I won't be back, too many other great choices around.
Service was excellent, the meal he recommended was top notch, the carne assaida. They make the tortilla here and you can tell the difference. The chips were freshly done as well and you can tell the difference.

I'm torn about this. I hate to see a small business fail, but you could kind of see the writing on the wall over the years. They gave up part of their space in the shopping center for what became the most excellent Blood Bros BBQ, while over time the quality of the food at Carmelita's declined. They fought the good fight for a long time, but there are better restaurants in the shopping center and better Mexican food about a mile away. I'll miss the sopapillas, though.
